..What is King of the Hill? (Besides a show about Hank Hill.)
hey. sorry for my absence. had a hard several days. probably will get worse. Just trying to make it to Saturday. What'd I miss? I tried to read and my eyes kinda glzed over.
Kijani didn't say anything else until they got to the cafeteria. She got herself the much needed milkshake, topped with thick whipped cream and little sprinkles. She sat and slowly sipped at it, enjoying the richness of the chocolate. "Do you want to go out tonight, Connor?"
Perfect, there was something to be said knowing a little chemistry. When Jin tried to get up James was about to advise against it but she seemed adamant on leaving. Following, and even stepping in the way he tried to get her to stop. Already she'd nearly fallen over again. "Whoa, hold on a second. You should take a seat for a couple minutes before moving around too much. Seriously."

Jin was very close to tears, and hurriedly yanked her hood over her head to shield herself. Damn, today was the worst first day she'd ever had, and it wasn't even half over yet. Was it too late to quit? She shot a glare at the guy who was blocking her path. "I'll sit, just not here. I can't stay here, it's claustrophobic."
"sounds like it will be a restless eternity then" Connor said with amusement, looking to Kijani, he couldn't help but smile, but frowned at her expression. He debated about saying something for a moment, but he remembered how she looked as she asked if he wanted to go for Juice. Like she'd break. For now, it seemed like she was alright. He didn't want to bring that back. "It amazes me that you can see others greatness, but not your own. Constantly"

Kijani let out a noise that wasn't really a laugh. "I wasn't born to see my own greatness. I was born to make someone else great." She shut her eyes, inhaled deep and let it out slow. "I'm gonna upgrade that juice to a smoothie. With chocolate. Lots of chocolate. Maybe I'll skip the fruit and yogurt and just have a milkshake..."
Kijani looked over the gloves, studying them before finding a red pair that would match her helmet well. She tried them on, luckily they fit right. Her hands were long and slender, and the gloves managed to keep them from looking bulky and clownish. "5 bucks. Perfect." She smiled broadly. "So, what next Taylor?"
a squeeze when she spoke about her parents. And then as she spoke about him. He went silent for a moment, as he had been simply toying the idea of not following his father, of not trying to be better then him. But the world needed an iron man. And he loved his suit. "making my own name doesn't matter to me" He said softly

Kijani chuckled low, shaking her head a bit. "Of course it doesn't. And that is why I know that you will become a very different man from your father." She smiled and kissed his cheek softly. "People recognize greatness. But... there is something to be said of humility." Squeezing his hand, she looked ahead. Her eyes looked odd, distant, like she was seeing into the future. "You'll be one of those people who they talk about long after you're dead and gone."
There we go. I've had smelling salts used on me after fainting. Freaking crazy effective. It wakes you instantly.

I did not think of smelling salts. Good thinking, Wave. Also, Jin can't speak many languages, but she is a polyglot when it comes to cussing.
Jin inhaled, and then started coughing, coming back to consciousness with a flailing of limbs and a long string of very vulgar curses in multiple languages. "Nngh..." She clutched her head and hissed. There was a dull headache above her eyebrows. Finally, she looked up, startled to see that she was in the midst of a crowd. "...." She picked herself up rapidly, trying to ignore the way she wobbled on her feet and nearly fell again. "...Thanks." She mumbled it to her feet, not looking at any of them. Then she pushed her way through the assembled crowd, desperate to get out, to go anywhere but where she was.
Kijani wondered why he seemed so delighted. She was glad for the help, though, as he took some of the weight from her. "Yes, I'm done shopping." She tried not to look apprehensive when the price came up, but it was less than she expected, and so she paid without feeling much guilt. "What are you so happy about, huh?" (You can dial down the technical stuff... I really have absolutely NO idea what that conversation meant.)
