Sel got her tools ready once again back at the lab, after all she expected at least a few people to come complaining that they were sick, and as it turned out she was right on the money as one of the crew came on through into the lab. "Welcome, please, take a seat and tell me what is the matter." Head chest or stomach normally had different treatments, much better than just stuffing people full of pills like most auto-docs that she had seen on the streets. Removing her helmet she waited for a answer to her question.

Achieng smiled weakly. "Yes, thank you..." She was already seated, but she figured it was a gesture of welcome rather than a direct command. She really needed to read up on idioms again. "Since the jump, my head is telling me that the world is moving in circles. I do not like it at all. Can you please make it stop?"
Uh... I PMed you, KL.
*waves* Hi there. I'm on the East Coast, but it's... about 2:30am right now. I'm a terrible insomniac.

Anyway, I adore urban fantasy, its one of my favorite genres. When it's done right, anyway. Ever heard of the Dresden Files?

That aside-- I could totally play the unwitting subject of some ancient prophecy for you. I have an OC that seems to come into play when mysterious pasts are involved. Basically she was adopted as a baby. Her parents are loving and were always good to her, but now as a teen/young adult/adult she's just curious as to where she came from, and who...

...sounds ok?
*considers a Victoria Stone*
The man who had gotten blasted into midair by the burst tire would be caught by a wave of sand. It would keep him from hitting solid ground at top speed, but he'd probably have sand in every orifice for the next week.

"See what you've done?" A young woman's voice floated through the air, disembodied. "He just gets so grumpy when he's hungry!" A figure appeared, shimmering to visibility out of nowhere. She was dark skinned and heavily curved, her eyes bright orange behind a complex mask. Her hair was frost white and short, and she wore an orange robe decorated with an golden octopus. In the woman's hand was a shiny staff carved with all sorts of magic runes. A few of them were lit up with a strange light, one that stopped when the sand dropped the man with a thud. "I'll have to hear about his missed burger for hours."

She moved her hand in a slashing motion, and watched one of the unlucky thieves all but crumple, clutching his ears and screaming in pain.

"Agggh- make the noise stop, make it stop!"

Mirage moved forward, the staff held like a physical weapon along the length of her arm. She knew that the crook's partners could not hear what he did. That would cause enough confusion that it would be easier to separate and then disable all three of them completely.

"Now, gentlemen." She smiled, revealing teeth that were a bit too fine and sharp to be human. "Who's next?"
@Kitsune

Achieng came to after several minutes, groaning and clutching her head as she resurfaced into the sharp, cold air of the ship. She hid her face, embarrassed, as she straightened her tunic and wrung the excess water from her hair. She pulled up a map of the ship, and hustled her tank right down to the med bay.

"Ah, Doctor?" She wasn't sure of everyone's names just yet. "I would appreciate your help." Her head was still spinning, and she did not like the sensation of constant movement at all.
Cool. Should we discuss further in a PM? And can you link me to the manga?
Yeah. I'm sorry, I know people are waiting on me. Hadn't been feeling great. Still not feeling great.
I've heard of the manga... Can't remember the name but the premise sounds familiar. Could the female be forced to go to the country, initially?
@t2wave

Kijani lifted her eyebrows. "Millenia? Cool. You ever been to China? You should..." She yawned, rubbing her eyes. "You should tell me about China. But first, I'm going to sleep for the next millenia myself." She burrowed down under the blankets, weariness written all over her face.
