After classes, Kijani set to work on her language learning. She was starting to get annoyed, without her powers. She just felt like there was a large piece of her missing.
Devika wandered from her class, hands in her pockets. Nothing to do, no one to see.
Ah.

I'm at a point right now where I literally can't remember what the hell they're taking.

My head feels like it's splitting apart.
Are we having the next class together?
Dioxide and or Knight:

I'm so lost, in-game... I've been out of sorts for like a full week now, it's getting on my nerves. I need an entry point.
Okay. No crying. *smiles*
*summons Knight, Dresden Files style*

KNIGHT! KNIGHT! KNIGHT!

*waits with bated breath*
I wish Knight was here.

*sets up the candles and summoning circle*
Devika raised her eyebrows at the stranger. Client confidentiality? Really? Well, he was making a pretty crappy job of keeping his presence a secret here. He stuck out like a sore thumb, and talked like a cop. She frowned. What if he was a cop? Some kind of plainclothes detective, or something? What was he doing here, then? As far as she knew, these were good people. A little on the wild side, but no one bad.

Pushing a wayward lock of black hair from her face, she smiled and sipped at her drink. "You know, if you're a cop, you're a pretty crappy one. No one in their right mind is going to open up to you, with you acting like that." Years of being on on the stranger side of life had tempered most of this cafe's patrons against authority. It just came with the territory- people saw black lipstick, tattoos and punk hair, and immediately jumped to 'hardened criminal' without stopping to see them as they were. Surely this cop was no different than any other. "Why don't you go hunt witches somewhere else, huh?" Her smile was on her face, but her light brown eyes were filled with a quiet fury. These people were her friends. She wanted to protect them.

The bells jingling at the front door caught her attention, and she turned, looking over the man who'd entered. A real smile came to her face. "Hey Connor. Nice ensemble."
Anyone home?

What'd I miss?
Kassy smiled down at Charlie as he settled near her. He was such a sweet little boy, cozying up to her without a bit of fear. He was obviously cold, and she knew she was going to have to get him some clothes, somehow. But when a pair of male voices started to echo closer to their cave, he obviously looked so terrified that she knew she had to do something. "Shh. Be very quiet, ok?" She smiled sweetly down at the little one, and put her finger to her lips for emphasis. She summoned her magic from the core of her being, put her arm around the boy, and they vanished from sight. Kassy had to concentrate to compensate for the extras- Charlie's breathing, the size of the child, all of it. As long as the boy kept quiet as she'd asked him, they would be invisible.
