"You have to learn to account for many different scenarios. Or, on the flipside..." Kijani was twisting one of her loose dreadlocks around her finger as she watched the fight intently. She smirked a bit. "You don't plan at all, and move in accordance with your opponent. Keep them from planning against you, because you don't plan in advance."
How close is the cart to the house? Can Kijani hear the two of them talking? Also, she's going to have to talk to Feather, so there'll be a bit of short posting, if that's okay.

EDIT: Also, I'm *still* snickering at 'pig shit'. That was brilliant.
"Sometimes surprise can turn the tide of a battle. Don't underestimate it." She winked at Connor, then settled back to watch the fight.
Kijani will go next, it's cool. She needs a buffer between Connor's fight and hers anyway. A tactical move.
Kijani nodded and smiled at Connor. "Excellent work, you certainly got off on the right foot. There's no place for politeness in a real fight." No place for politeless at all. But perhaps a place for the opposite... "I'm ready- is one of you going, or may I?"
Name: Kijani Ryane

Alias: Archive

Gender: Female

Age: 26

Powers/Abilities: Kijani has the ability to manipulate paper, and control its density. She can turn an index card into a razor sharp blade, a book into a brick, and newspaper into armor.

She can remember anything she’s read and recall it with perfect accuracy.

She also has a lot of grace on the battlefield, her primary talent being evasion and misdirection. Her fighting style is a blend of Tai Chi, Wushu, and Capoeria- moving with the flow of the fight, never stopping. Kijani’s self-invented style flows from move to move, never breaking stride even when she falls or is hit, it simply becomes another move in the dance. She also carries a Chinese jian and makes use of it just as easily as she does her powers.

Personality: Kijani’s personality seems to vary depending on what she’s doing. When she’s working, she comes off as aloof, professional and businesslike. When she’s on her own, however, she is bright and fun-loving, slightly flirtatious and energetic. In private, she has a rather nerdy passion for literature. In all things, she carries herself with intelligence and confidence.

Backstory: Kijani was born to two wealthy, brilliant people who happened to dislike each other. Her conception was essentially an accident, and her parents married out of propriety rather than love. She grew up cared for by a nanny while her parents worked and ignored her. When she was eleven, she was kidnapped off the streets and held for ransom for a week. Her parents paid, she was released, but she was scarred, both physically and psychologically. From that day on she was never quite the same. She promised herself she’d never let that happen to her again, no matter what it took. Her nanny was fired, and Kijani pretty much raised herself from the age of eleven while her parents worked. She became an emancipated minor at the age of sixteen, took her inheritance from her parents, and used it to start living life on her own terms.

She invested a great deal of her inheritance in various stocks and markets, and used the rest to travel the world. Part of her travels took her to Europe, where she absorbed culture and language. The other major part saw her in Asia, where she spent time in China. After proving herself, she spent a year in the mountains, learning the art of Wushu from the best teachers possible, and building on her powers and skills.

By the time she returned to America, she knew what she wanted to do. Intelligence was her true gift- everything else was secondary to that. So she used what she was best at- she began to gather and store information. Everything from the mundane to the incredibly private. She made her name selling that information to whoever could pay the price. No one knows her true face, or even her voice. All they have is a name: Archive.

Alignment Status: Lawful Neutral.

I've never heard of that rule, but I'm still curious about the gratuitous Japanese. I mean, it doesn't add anything to the post.
Jinny frowned, stopping behind a thin tree. One second the stranger had been there. Then it had got dark- and then he was gone. She looked around, entirely puzzled. But then she heard his voice, from all around. "Oh crap." She murmured under her breath. He'd spotted her- and he was calling her out. What to do? Hide and hope for the best? Follow his orders and hope he wasn't lying about not killing her? After several long seconds of debate, she put away the knife, but not so far that she couldn't reach it quickly.

Raising her hands in a gesture of surrender, she stepped out into the open road. "Why would I try to jump you? I don't even know you!"
