I am stuck on describing the house. When I try to I just get a void. I don't think I've ever had to describe a house before.
<Snipped quote by Mistress Dizzy>

It's an entirely possible that could have happened, I'd imagine in the world we setup star kids are probably even more prone to things like homelessness due to the nature of discrimination they suffer so its plausible a star could have dropped off for a while before being picked up by NI.

Okay, thank you. I'll start working on it as soon as I get their power done up right.
I'm planning on my star to be a homeless kid. Is this at all plausible? Considering how heavily stars are scrutinized, how possible would it be for one to slip through the cracks for several years?
No worries. I look forward to it!
Verrry interesting. I like it.
Devika sighed faintly, her smile fading. Nothing Roxy said was wrong. She just didn't want to think that way. "Like I said, we'll only get better if we practice. And I want to get better." Quickly, too. She was going to feel like an interruption for a long time, and so the sooner they got their connection right, the better. That way she could give Roxy the distance she seemed to want.

"Let's try another person. If it doesn't pan out, I'll give you some kind of signal, and I'll just leave for a bit. How does that sound?" She wasn't smiling this time, and her voice had lost some of the joy. It was hard being so matter-of-fact, but she could tell the situation sort of called for it.
I love the detail of the necklace. I am trying to decide what it is.

Also, feel free to have Jinny fall asleep on the ride to his home. The poor child has had a long day.
Jin made not a peep as she was carefully picked up. She simply clung to her new uncle like a baby koala. While he walked, she looked back at the house, the place she had been happy and growing, remembering things. There were still some of her crayoned pictures on the fridge. A pair of pink rain boots by the back door. Trinkets and things and just… stuff, from a happy life, that was now being left behind. She would never see this house again, and now was in the care of a stranger. A nice, but kind of scary one. What the future would hold, who knew?

Once they got out the door, she was surprised to find Uncle Slade moving faster than anything she had ever encountered before. She made a small noise of excitement, watching her neighborhood’s scenery fly by. Once they stopped, she stared up at him with sparkly eyes full of admiration.

“Whoa. That was awesome!” She hopped out of his arms, to clamber into the backseat and carefully put on her seatbelt. “Are you a hero? Like Superman?” Without waiting for an answer, she continued excitedly. “Do you wanna know a secret?” Jinny looked like she was about to smile, but then she seemed to lose a bit of her energy.

“I was going to tell… my parents… but I guess I can tell you.” She leaned forward, looking up at him. “I can make things fly.” Despite her somber look, there was a spark of glee in her eyes. “Watch this.”

She stuck out her hand, and the car keys that were once in Slade’s hand would find themselves hanging in the open air between them, surrounded by a faintly silver glow. It seemed young Jin had inherited more than just her mother’s eyes. “Ta-da! Isn’t it cool?”
As the hatch door opened, Kijani flinched away from the light. Her senses were still on high, and it burned her eyes. She balled her fists, prepared for a fight. But none came, as it was just Captain Solo.

“Thank goodness, it’s only you.” With Adam’s help, she climbed out of the hatch, not quite looking him in the eye. Why was she embarrassed? They weren’t doing anything untoward, and certainly not romantic.

“We’re going to steal stormtrooper uniforms? That…” She couldn’t think of a better plan, not with such little time. “That’s going to have to do.” She looked at the Han, then Obi-Wan, before glancing to Adam. “Aren’t you going to be a little short to be a stormtrooper, Adam?” She looked down at herself.

“And what about me? I don’t think they make female stormtroopers.” Then again, had anyone seen them without their masks on? Perhaps there were. “Whatever way this goes, I will help you fight.”

(Forgive me for the reference, I had to.)
I'm glad to hear that. Make sure you don't push yourself too hard. :)
