Jin was in the main hall, dressed in casual jeans, a tank top, and with a pink bandana over her hair. She was wearing the goggles from her hero costume, and a pair of thick gloves. Using a special apparatus, she was hoisted up in a high corner, working on upgrading one of the cameras. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a flash of The Flash, probably going around to check on something else. She was a touch jealous. Maybe someday she could fly that fast.
She pushed off the wall to get a tool from her box, aided by the cable system around her waist. Poking through her tidily arranged pink handled tools, she tilted her head as a newcomer wandered through the room. Dropping into silence, she watched the girl walk through, before returning to her task. Someone new was already here, and she'd barely gotten to know anything about the others... This whole team business was getting complicated.
She felt, rather than saw Gabe after he walked into the room. It wasn't something she could truly explain, even though she'd come up with a few theories. Her most sensible one was that Gabe was warmer than most people, and she was sensitive to temperature, so she could detect his presence. "Hey, Gabe." She spoke aloud, but her eyes were still on her tool as she carefully tightened a tiny screw. "I haven't seen you much today."

To her embarrassment, she felt her eyes starting to well up with tears. Tears of pure joy, and gratitude. "Thank you.. sir." She'd obviously never used such a lofty title for a person, but the Professor had earned her undying respect. "You did more for me in one afternoon than anyone has in my whole life." She wiped the back of her hand across her eyes. "...I think I may take your advice. Travel Kalos a bit, and see what the world is really like outside the city."

While walking in Devika's direction, Anthony notices that she's staring at him with a smile on her face. Remembering that she's an empath, he decides to try something he had been working on at home. He closes his eye for a moment, then opens them, revealing steely grey irides. The change in color lasts merely a few seconds before Anthony's eyes revert to their usual brown. Before passing Devika, Anthony smiles and winks knowingly, then continues on his way
Devika blinked a few times, completely confused, as the happy feeling suddenly went dead. It was like someone flipped a switch and replaced the happiness with... well, nothing. Nothing that she could feel, anyway. And then it was back. Devika continued to watch Anthony pass by, and couldn't help but wink back at him as her grin broadened. That was an impressive trick- their powers seemed to affect the same things, but in clearly different ways. Even knowing that, she couldn't help but wonder if that sort of thing was teachable...

Tomorrow should be the day of the plan's execution.
Jinny was surprised, but very grateful for the hug. She buried her teary streaked face into Josh's chest and wept. Her shaking was uncontrollable, but started to subside eventually. She looked up at Josh, wiped her leaking nose with her sleeve, and shrugged. "I feel bad that I killed that guy. But..." She sniffled slightly. "He had to know that we'd fight, right? So maybe he was okay with dying." The thought was disquieting, but better than thinking that she was a murderer. Quietly, she leaned her cheek against Josh's chest. "...I didn't think it would be so... hard."
