Personality: Gwen is the type of person who, in a novel, would be labeled "a strong female character." She doesn't take nonsense from anyone and is very confident in her own actions, thinking everything through and making the best choice. She is decisive and firm, hardworking and able to get things done. 

She doesn't procrastinate and is very methodic in her approach to problems. However, she's also a bit snarky and quick to judge people, assuming that she's figured out everything about them. Being wrong isn't something that (so she thinks) happens often. Of course, she also tends to find a lot of humor in sarcasm, and it serves to lighten up her personality. She is a decent friend, but a blunt and honest one as well. She doesn't sugarcoat things, and doesn't think anyone else should either.

History

What Brings You to Dunder Mifflin: Despite her hatred of everything corporate, she needed the money. Her parents hadn't saved up much for her to go to college, sending Kingston to a pricey boarding school every year instead. As much as she detests Dunder Mifflin, they gave her the best officer. The police didn't need interns either, so it wasn't like she was going to get any useful experience in her field. Gwen just hopes the summer goes by quickly. 

Life Up To This Point:Gwen was named after her father, George (hence the middle name Georgie). From the moment she was born, she acted rather like him, something that holds true to this day. Her father was from Boston, working as a homicide detective there, when he met Annie. She was in town for an education convention, and they had a whirlwind romance. "It was the kind you see in Lifetime movies," Annie still says to this day. After a long distance relationship for several years, it became clear to the two of them that they were meant to be. George relocated for Annie, moving to her hometown of New Castle, Pennsylvania. 

A few years into their marriage, they gave birth to twins: Gwendolyn Georgie and Kingston George. The twins were polar opposites, with Gwendolyn acting more masculine, and Kingston acting more feminine. She loved cops and playing in the mud and cars, while Kingston enjoyed baking and playing the piano. A bit of an exaggeration, Annie always claimed, but it was true nonetheless. George and Annie wanted the best for their children, and a small town seemed to be perfect. They ensured that their children would have every opportunity, the entire reason Kingston ended up going to a boarding school in order to jumpstart his career in music. Gwen, meanwhile, was allowed to come with her father to the station, as she had determined she wanted to follow in his footsteps and become a detective.

A tomboy to the end, Gwen excelled in soccer and picked up archery on the side. However, in high school, she ended up discovering a love of theater, and started auditioning regularly for all of the plays. Her grades are decent--not the highest of the school, but not poor either. She ended up taking a fair amount of advanced courses, and is set on attending university in order to get a degree in criminology, and push her into her field.

☯ Aidan Ferguson ☯
"You know that person who tries too hard to be a father figure in the movies? That's Aidan."
Gwen just so happens to be the same age as Aidan's daughter, Elspeth. He often ends up "practicing" on her, encouraging her to come and talk to him about issues, and trying to screen her girlfriends. While Aidan seems to enjoy this, Gwen just finds it...weird. If she was ever kidnapped and murdered, Aidan probably did it.

"He's potentially the only person to understand why Quinn and Deadshot are a better match than Quinn and Joker."
Being new to the company, Gwen spend most of her first day with HR, getting shown the ropes of the place. Eduard and her started to chat about comic books, and a blooming friendship began. An avid Bernie supporter, though, Gwen insists that he won't be able to convince her to become a libertarian. Still, his attempts are amusing enough.

Chris is, without a doubt, Gwen's best friend in the office. He's potentially the only other person who hates it there, as far as she's aware. As much as she can, she assists him with pranks, going out of her way to keep Aidan from attempting to fire him yet again. If Chris ever did leave the office, Gwen's spirits would be crushed. Who else would she waste company time with?

"She doesn't talk....ever."
Gwen doesn't interact with Eugene very much. Sometimes, after having a particularly bad day, Gwen'll sit by her at lunch, knowing that Eugene won't interact with her. She serves as almost a people shield, and on occasion, Gwen'll ask her a few questions, never really expecting a response.

"He loves to argue. And he doesn't suck."
Most of the people in the office tend to bore Gwen, but she knows that Declan'll always be up for a rousing round of arguments with her. She hangs by his desk quite often, possibly the only person in the office hardly reprimanded for it. Most of the time, Declan's got something to make her laugh, such as their "Pants or No Pants?" debate last week.

"She gives me candy...She's okay, I guess."
Given that Gwen is stationed in the main office area and Nana is in the annex, the pair hardly ever cross paths. Whenever they do, Nana tries perhaps too hard to be Gwen's friend. Gwen doesn't mind it, however, because it allows her to get more information for her latest case: Operation Declan's a Lovesick Idiot. Part of her is planning to set them up...eventually. Once she has more data.

"I think he's high...all the time."
Gerald is a bit like an overeager puppy. Gwen doesn't talk with him much, but when she does, she'll purposefully say negative statements to see his response. Every time, he's still his happy go lucky self, and she's currently trying to figure out what drugs exactly he's been using. No one could possibly be that happy.

"He's creepy. Not gonna lie."
Gwen avoids Moe whenever she can, especially because he treats her as an expendable and inconsequential helper-monkey. His attitude creeps her out a lot. She's convinced that he used to work for, if not run, some branch of the mob. 

☮ Rose Peters ☮
"She's pretty awesome. Almost like a sister, I guess."
Rose is incredibly upbeat and positive, potentially the nicest person in the office. Gwen rather enjoys the days when she's told to go help Rose out with her work, and she loves to read Rose's writing. One day, Gwen is determined to bring in a horror film to work, and get Rose to watch it with her. Those faxes can wait for a bit.

"He's got a good taste in books."
Sam and Gwen don't talk much. Instead, when things are quiet, one of them will pull out a Sci-Fi novel, and the other will glance over and nod approvingly. Perhaps eventually the two of them will have an actual conversation, but for now, sci-fi novels and occasional glances are all they have.

"I'm in the same Girl Scout Troop as his daughter..."
Gwen often finds it to be rather odd, working at Dunder Mifflin with Mr. Abbey. Friends with his daughter through Girl Scouts, she knew him in the context of being one of the parents who always ensured things ran smoothly, despite not being a woman himself. And now, working alongside him, Gwen isn't too sure what to think about it. She refuses to call him anything but Mr. Abbey, however--anything else would be too weird.

"She's my favorite person in the office to stalk."
Gwen and Emily have exchanged perhaps five words in total, when Emily was setting up Gwen's user account for the Dunder Mifflin computers. Ever since, though, Gwen has become a bit obsessed with the aura of mysteriousness coming off of Emily. Following her around the office and even peeking over the top of Emily's cubicle, it's a bit insane of Gwen. However, Emily still hasn't noticed. Perhaps, for the best.
