Scarlett Cromwell

Location: 10 Graze Street
{"Have fun in hell, bitch!"}

Scarlett woke up to her alarm clock, playing one of the songs currently on the radio, Groove Is In the Heart. She smiled slightly, pushing the pink fluffy sleeping mask off of her face. An extensive skin care regiment that took at least half an hour each night kept her skin with a natural glow, though that didn't mean it couldn't be aided with a fair deal of make up. Putting her feet into her similar pink fluffy slippers, Scarlett pulled on the matching robe and made her way over to her ensuite. Her morning routine took an hour at least, giving herself dark and alluring eyebrows to frame her face. Once finished in the bedroom, she then shuffled over into her walk in closet, picking out an outfit appropriate for the occasion.

An entire hour had gone by once Scarlett left the walk in closet and headed down the stairs. Her parents were out of town at the moment, celebrating their wedding anniversary at the family cabin in Massachusetts. It was the only reason she had to groan and stop in the midst of her morning to answer the phone. Wrapping the cord around her finger, Scarlett sighed when she recognized the voice on the other end of the line.

"Morning, fatso," Scarlett replied harshly. "What is it this time? Off your happy pills and in need of a confidence boost? You're wasting my time, slut."

The person on the other end of the line? Her cousin, Madison. Scarlett hardly paid attention to Madison, letting the phone dangle as she moved about the kitchen, preparing a low carb breakfast for herself. She figured Madison would tire herself out after a few minutes and by the time Scarlett had finished making a smoothie, pouring herself a glass, she hoped that Madison would've hanged up.

"You still here?" Scarlett groaned, taking a sip of the blended beverage. "Look, shut the fuck up. You're more of a stupid bitch than I thought if you haven't realized already that looks are everything. If you want to trap a guy, show some cleavage and then poke holes in the condom. Now, leave me be to my wonderful life. You're ruining the celebrations of that skank's death."

Scarlett paused, listening to the reply on the other end. "Yeah, she was my bestie. I can cry on command and honestly, it's about time someone offed her. I'm just sad I couldn't have been there. They'd be great polaroids." She didn't even bother to say goodbye to her cousin, hanging up the phone. She then grabbed the rest of her belongings and headed on out. It was time to be (fake) sad about Lucy's death.

But honestly, the bitch had it coming to her. Scarlett couldn't wait to shake the hand of the person responsible.

Jack Hudson

Location: Outside Building One (Medical)

Jack felt relieved to hear Tatiana's voice. Nothing seemed out of place on her end, at the very least. Forcing himself to smile, despite it coming out more as a grimace, Jack replied quickly. "I'm on route," he said, the Boston accent coming through slightly. Clipping his radio on his belt, Jack made his way towards his house as quickly as he could. It was a brisk jaunt through the parking lot by building E, followed by going south on Jefferson Street. With each step that took him closer to Tatiana, Jack felt more relieved and more nervous. He wasn't sure how to have this conversation with her.

On the bright side, Dick's voice seemed to be remaining quiet. Maybe it had been his imagination that he hallucinated it? Could you imagine that you saw something that wasn't there? Was that possible? He paused for a moment in the middle of the road, not certain anymore about what to do. If it was nothing, should he worry Tatiana? Should he mention it to her? Or should he just brush it off, pretend it was fine, and get Ash's appointment scheduled for him as requested?

He stood still for another thirty seconds, before deciding it was safer that Tatiana knew. Forcing himself to walk forward, Jack entered his home, knocking a bit on the door to announce his presence. He wasn't sure if Tatiana and Ray were in the middle of a session or something.

"Solovey? Need to talk to ya," Jack called out, looking around the house for his wife. He wasn't sure if his descent into insanity was something Ray wanted to know about. It felt like something best kept between Tatiana and himself.

Beatrice Decker

Location: Near 545 Corinth Rd, Newnan: In the woods. (Not far from the Coweta County Water Authority)

Beatrice couldn't help but hear Gavin's exclamation. From the way he was talking, she expected either a walker was in there with them or someone had insulted the state of Texas. His accent spoke volumes, almost as much as his actual words did, about him. But given that James had just seen a ghost and she had seen Bryn, Beatrice couldn't help but imagine that Gavin had seen something similarly shocking. It would also explain why Ryan had gone off on his own for a moment.

But for such a rapid collapse in sanity for four people that all happened around the same time? That seemed suspicious as hell. The only conclusion Beatrice could come up with is that they had all been drugged. She thought about it and determined that it likely came from the food at the wedding the night before. And if that was the case, they would be hallucination free in the next day or so. She wasn't an expert on biology or chemistry--she just doubted the effects of any drug would last much longer than a day. Otherwise, drug dealers would've gone out of business long ago. People would need less hits.

In light of that, Beatrice decided to keep her theory to herself. If she was right, it'd be a pleasant surprise that they weren't all going insane. And if she was wrong, then she wouldn't have gotten anyone's hopes up in the first place. "Thanks. You're a real friend, James," Beatrice replied. James seemed to be doing better already, already going on about inventory and the likes. Maybe they all had been drugged after all and it was a temporary effect. Or James could be trying to appear more normal before he slaughtered them all.

Chloe & Ravi

Location: Building One (Medical)

Ravi nodded. It was rare for anyone to be able to make much of anything these days. He used to know someone who was especially talented at synthesis--give her a formula and she'd be able to figure out how to make it within a day or so. He hadn't seen her for over a year before the outbreak and he couldn't remember any pieces of wisdom she had mentioned. At this point, he'd need to have a procedure written up in front of him, go over it for an hour, before he could try to make anything. A run would be best. He glanced up as Chloe came down the stairs, the ginger girl turning to look towards Froggy as her name was mentioned.

"Yeah, they had a shit ton of stuff," Chloe mentioned with a shrug. Her own chemistry skills had long since left her memory. Once she made it through Organic Chemistry, that was it for the Pre-Med track. All of the pointless memorization had faded over the years until there was nothing left. The only chemicals she had good knowledge of were recreational drugs--those weren't generally the sort of thing used in embalming.

"Fucking cat almost got us killed," Chloe added with a slight chuckle.
@FantasyChic: Day 7

Dorothy Pender

Location: Merchant Area

Foy's question brought Dorothy to a pause for a moment. She knew that Anisa would've just killed the woman, likely without even bothering to question her. Or perhaps Anisa would've gotten information out of her, only to slaughter her all the same. But while Dorothy had served in the Alliance military, she was still a doctor. Her initial shot at the woman had been intentionally towards the knees as a warning, merely to incapacitate. Was the proper answer to Foy's question that they'd kill the woman on sight? They were rebelling against the Alliance, yes...but it didn't sit right with her to kill a woman in cold blood.

"We take her back alive if possible," Dorothy finally answered. She knew that she should've told Foy they'd kill the woman, but her conscience wouldn't allow it. Like Atticus, Dorothy was also trying to save lives. It might not have been the call that would make Anisa happy, but Dorothy felt that it was the right call. She had switched sides in order to right wrongs, in order to keep herself from sacrificing her integrity. If the Browncoats were just like the Alliance, then she didn't want any part of it.

"Incapacitate as much as needed. I can stitch anyone up nice and shiny," Dorothy added, before nodding at Foy. They were just outside the entrance to the alleyway. Hopefully, the mystery woman would indeed be there. She doubted she'd remain second in command much longer if she wasn't--but she also couldn't help but feel that might be for the best. She wasn't cut out for this job.

Fitz Townsley

Location: Town (Toy Store)

Fitz was taken aback for a moment, having almost entirely forgotten his purpose in going to the toy store in the first place. He had been looking for boardgames of some sorts to help him break the ice with those on the ship he was (ideally) going to be traveling on. He couldn't get rid of his stutter, but he could at least try to make an effort to get over some of his social anxiety. It seemed to be his best bet at fitting in with the crew and the passengers, regardless as to whether they wanted him as an engineer or just someone along for the trip.

"I-I was s-sorta looking for a b-b-boardgame," Fitz admitted, shrugging sheepishly. Since he was about to present his reasoning to someone else, it sounded really silly and stupid. Boardgames weren't going to help him get to know people, were they? Doubt filled his mind for a moment, the same doubt that had kept him in the safety of the University of Osiris for all those years.

"...thought it might help with m-making friends," Fitz finished, turning to see the excited little boy at the counter. Fitz couldn't help but grin himself, seeing the pure joy radiating from the little guy's face. It was something that he could relate to.

Nora Kingston

Location: the Museum

Vera's flustered nature seemed to not have vanished from the previous night. Even now, Lady Munn appeared to be tripping over her own feet, with Neema's quick reflexes allowing the tray to be saved and steadied before the luncheon went to waste. Nora found it a bit curious that Vera was always this clumsy. Surely, she would've improved by now, especially with the precious artifacts she worked with? Of course, Nora gave no facial or social cues that would suggest she found it odd.

Neema fell into the grandmotherly role as per usual, something that Nora had become accustomed to as of late. Neema took a more genuine interest in Nora than the rest of her family did. Her father and mother would have wanted nothing more than to marry Nora off to some respectable gentleman, but she was damaged goods, so to speak. She was the family disappointment. In darker moments, Nora sometimes wondered if her father would've preferred that the disease had claimed her life as a child.

The flowers delivered for Lady Munn were clearly not from Mr. Drake. There was no manner in which they could have arrived on such short notice. However, Nora did not wish to be presumptuous--flowers were such a bold gesture, but she imagined that the Lord Captain, the famous mathematician, perhaps could have been the sender. She saw no reason as to question Vera, though, and was content to sit in relative silence.

Cecily Ashworth

Location: Private Hangar in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico

Cecily was beginning to regret that she hadn't learned to speak Spanish. It would've been incredibly useful at the moment, as well as with life in California. But her grandmother had practically insisted that both Cecily and her brother learn a little bit of French--just in order to be able to communicate with the extended family. Her grandmother was definitely a family woman, despite her own background that stunned Cecily whenever she learned a little more of it. She still spoke about her aunts and uncles, as well as her favorite aunt, Nora. Cecily just remembered an impression that Nora was the ugly duckling of her grandmother's aunts and uncles.

Cecily raised an eyebrow and looked over at Natasha. Despite Benicio and Caesar attempting to explain things, Cecily wasn't sure who or what Nuestra Dama de la Muerte was. The mentioning of rites brought to mind a storyline in the X-Men comics, where Gambit had to go back to Louisiana and pay tribute to some deity with his former gang. But that was just a story--magic and everything wasn't real. And from the way Benicio and Caesar spoke about Nuestra Dama de la Muerte, it sounded like it was a real person.

It worried her slightly that they weren't going to a secure facility. Everything that had happened so far gave Cecily an urge to go and hide in a bunker, catching up on iZombie episodes. Maybe she could even rewatch Twin Peaks and look for plot holes. The stern hazel eyes visible in the rearview mirror didn't help to settle her nerves. Biting her lip nervously, Cecily really wondered if she should've gone to graduate school instead of taking that job in Justice.

What the hell was her life anymore?

Iris Kingston

Location: Justice Asylum

Iris' eyes widened, unsure of how to respond to Nurse Cratty. It was always a possibility that a patient would go berserk--yesterday had been a prime example--but it was still shocking to hear about it. Jaina hadn't even made it out the door, but this patient had escaped as well as murdered three people? Most people would've never come back to this place, Iris imagined. Nurse Cratty likely would've known those who died...and yet, she kept coming back. That was courageous.

"Quel dommage..." Iris whispered, taking in the bloody mess. She knew she was supposed to see a monster, but instead, she saw a broken shell of a person. She wasn't familiar with Jaina's psychiatric history, something that she'd definitely need to read up on. Had she been given any proper medication, if she was this far gone?

"Dobro pozhalovat', damy i gospoda, v Tsirk pravosudiya! V etom uglu u nas yest' medsestra Cratty! Kak vy dumayete, rebyata? Dolzhny li my videt', znayet li ona kakiye-nibud' tryuki?" Jaina announced, suddenly jerking to her feet as she gestured towards Cratty. It was a bit of an awkward movement due to the restraints, but considerably more graceful than the average person could've done. Jaina had been an acrobat, after all.

"Shhhh! The studio audience is talking!" Jaina chastised, shaking her finger at Iris, who was trying to comprehend what she was seeing. "You can turn on the subtitles if you wanna watch~!" Jaina then paused, as if someone was whispering in her ear. "Akh, golosa v! Eto mamushka dlya medsestry Cratty!"

"...Do you speak Russian, by any chance?" Iris asked, looking towards Nurse Cratty.
Getting a post up now - sorry for the delay! Friday is my hell day.
@mnkee Good ^_^ We're starting to pick up the pace here. There's still more things to affect our living characters that'll be revealed next update.
@mnkee

Just you wait and see ^_~
@mnkee That really was awkward. :P

But don't worry. There'll be more madness shortly enough...Rolls are already being made.
