Guin Stark

"Have you ever tried? No. So that's a quitter talking," Guin told Lance, until she stopped for a moment and felt her blood chill. Her father used to say that to her when she was little - and she had hated it. Even if she had tried, he'd give her that same little speech. Her expression darkened slightly. There were times when she had to wonder if her father even liked having a kid. She knew that he didn't want her, that much was clear - painfully clear. "Come on, let's go to the fucking roof," she muttered.

She kicked off on her skates, activating the thrusters ever so slightly and in just a few seconds, she had made it over to the building. There was an external ladder and she knew it was dangerous to climb in skates, but Guin didn't care. Luckily, it seemed that Lady Luck smiled on her. She went carefully, going rung by rung, and she made sure to put the base of the shoe and not the wheels on the bars. Eventually, she had made her way to the top of the building and once up there, Guin gulped, realizing that they weren't alone.

And there was a reason that none of the Avengers were on this roof yet.

Philip Sterns was there.

Scott Rydzynski

Location: His Apartment --> Pike's Place - Seattle, Washington
Interacting With: Isley and the Kids

It wasn't too long of a trip from his place to Pike's Place. The familiar scent of lobster and salmon filled the air and he took it all in. Fresh air was nice - he often forgot how much he enjoyed it - but when it was tainted with fresh seafood? It just got to be repulsive. He glanced to his right on the slope, seeing the line outside of the first ever Starbucks. He could have sworn there was never not a line there. It made him want to shout to everyone over there that believe it or not, the coffee tasted the same no matter which Starbucks it was purchased from. He then looked to his left and let out a sigh.

This was going to take some emotional growth, wasn't it?

He kept his hands out of his pockets, just in case anyone came up and tried to murder him. With the way his day was going, he wouldn't have been too surprised. He walked down into the market itself, taking the ramp and avoiding getting hit with any of the seafood deals of the day. Honestly, what was it with them and throwing fish around?! Eventually, he spotted the people he was looking for - and he instantly glared. What the hell was Isley doing here?! He wasn't here to protect the entire goddamn world?!

"Okay princesses, time to get to my castle," Scott said as he approached the group. "And we have a guest. He's a fucking nerd but knows something about all of us. I figured I'd kill him after we get the information we need."

Walnut raised an eyebrow at Titian for a moment. His mocking of the servant could prove to be correct - perhaps the man simply had no tongue. It wouldn't have been surprising to her. There had been many times when she wished to remove the tongue of one of her own servants. They were some that were best seen and never heard - yet in this case, it was downright irritating. Could the tongue have not been removed after Walnut had had her question answered? Hopefully the specimen was at least being put to good use - and if it wasn't, then that truly was a shame. A good tongue should never be wasted.

"If you lack a tongue, please bow your head," Walnut requested. She too ignored the call. It wasn't pertinent to her thoughts at the moment and so it was nothing more than mere background noise. "If you do have a tongue and have failed to speak, perhaps I can rectify the situation as you seem to have no need of it," she added coolly. Sure, they were uninvited guests in the manor but a servant who would not speak and would give no indication that they could comprehend being addressed was no use to any lord or lady. Perhaps it would be considered a service to the Shadowell family.

Nora Kingston & Gene Benaszewski

Location: The Ferry - Elite Deck (Lady Munn's Rooms) --> Lauren's Rooms
Skills: N/A
A thought then occurred to Gene, but she doubted that any of these women would particularly care for it. Crossing her arms for a moment, she debated whether or not to insist upon it. She doubted that these women would be killed tonight - of course, it was possible. She really ought to have looked more into where she was going before this entire business. At least the near constant migraine she had had before coming here had finally faded. Gene couldn't help but realize sadly it was bound to instantly return once she went back home. "If you lot are really worried about your safety, the lot of you ought to sleep in my quarters - no one who's anyone would expect that," Gene pointed out.

She put her fingers into her pocket to get another sweet - only to restrain herself with a mental Bad Gene! She had to ration them and she was doing horribly. "Very well - it's unlikely then that they would have swam overboard," Nora concluded, hearing the talk of crocodiles and hippos. However, she glanced at Gene, pondering the young woman's suggestion. She still could not help but be skeptical that such a tiny young thing was a decent bodyguard. "I don't think an attempt would be made on Lady Munn's life - the thief is likely nonviolent," Nora reasoned. After all, why ransack a room and come back later to kill its occupant? It made little sense to her.

Gene shrugged slightly. "Stranger things have happened - and are happening around you all," she emphasized. But if they didn't really like her idea, it was no big deal. Nora followed Lauren to her rooms with Lady Munn's possessions, while Gene remained behind with Lady Munn. She had made a promise to George and was going to follow through on it. She was half tempted to interrogate Lady Munn over her feelings for him.

"What sort of bodyguard do you make of Miss Benaszewski?" Nora asked Lauren softly, standing just a few paces behind her friend. She didn't wish to be rude and ask such a comment within earshot of Gene, yet she was still puzzling over it. George and Peter were both capable and military - in fact, there was a military officer on this ship. And yet, Lady Munn was being guarded by a tiny thing. It struck her as quite strange that such a decision would be made.

Cecily Ashworth

Location: Airport Lounge
Skills: N/A

Cecily found a bit of a trend in Natasha's life - just as she seemed to go from romantic relationship to romantic relationship, friendships were similar. Her best friend had been made in India? What happened to her best friend before that? From what Cecily had come to understand, it wasn't too long ago that Natasha had gone to India. Lincoln then added that Natasha had met him through his sister when she was living in San Fransisco. Cecily felt like there might be something there. She just wasn't quite certain. At any rate, she was understanding more about Natasha after she died than she had when she was alive.

However, as Lincoln then said that he didn't know what Murphy did, Cecily got uncomfortable at that. Someone with physical skills, connected to Natasha, from California, and Lincoln didn't know what he did? And then there was the fact that he could speak a bunch of languages. It might have been the paranoia talking, but Cecily was positive that there was something not right about Murphy. If she were some sort of evil crime organization, that'd be one of the people she'd want on her side. "What did he call about?" Cecily then asked.

Andromeda Aldrich

Location: Ville au Camp - Carnival Set Up -> Kitchen House
Skills: N/A

Andromeda's eyes widened and had she been drinking anything, it would have been a perfect spit take moment. Some might have been offended by that sort of joke, but she was used to macabre humor. Most of the people in her former life had been excellent with it - after all, she ran her father's haunted hotel from his death until her own death. If she couldn't take a classic dead woman in a freezer joke, then she wouldn't have lasted long in that role - well, she didn't last long, but that was for unrelated reasons. Demonic reasons.

"I take my coffee straight - and my dead people sautΓ©ed," Andromeda told James as they entered the Kitchen House. Most of the others seemed to be there - minus the Emendators and the Carnival Folk. Faith seemed to have slid into a leadership position, something that Andy found interesting. Of course, she had to admit that in some ways, Faith was suited for it - she had the commanding personality down.

"I think that whatever we do...We should run it by Gil first," Andy replied, thinking it through. "Our track record on surviving is...not great. That's why we're here, after all...But... I think we need to gather information. Knowledge is power - and right now, they have all of the facts and seem to know more about us than we do about them..."

Jack Newnan

Location: Headland: the House (B6)

Jack nodded. He stepped forward and pressed a kiss to Tatiana's forehead. He couldn't help himself. He hesitated, looking at his wife for a moment. "I got this," he promised her, more or less giving Tatiana permission to go to sleep. He could handle the kid while she got the rest she really did need. He smiled slightly at her, before he knelt on the ground and started looking through Jamie's food options. None of it looked particularly appetizing and as he glanced at Jamie, holding up a chunkier can, Jack shook his head.

"How did she convince ya this was bettah than a boob?" he whispered to his son, cracking a slight smile. He looked at the peas and carrot jars, then noticing the sippi cup of water and the formula. Glancing back at Tatiana, Jack felt a bit like a kid who said I got this! and then, as soon as they got to work, realized that they did not got this at all. He looked at the cans again and decided that if Jamie couldn't eat carrots, they wouldn't be in this bag. And Jack was pretty certain - based on nothing at all - that his son preferred carrots to peas. He set those things aside but left out the water.

"Okay buddy, help me out here..." Jack said, opening up the can of carrots. "Now...I gotta airplane this to ya," he muttered to himself. He was pretty sure that was how you fed an infant. "It tastes bettah if I airplane it, I think..." he added, taking a deep breath, and then he attempted to feed his son.

Beatrice Decker

Location: Quincy: Inside House (D7)
Skills: N/A

Beatrice stirred slightly as Thalia laid down next to her. She stared at her friend in the darkness for a moment, before Beatrice nodded and closed her eyes once more. The temperature was dropping inside the home and her feet felt a bit of chill to them, as did the rest of her body. In the purpose of warmth - and nothing else of course! - Beatrice got a little bit closer to Thalia and quickly drifted back to sleep. This time around, her dream was still weird - though not nearly as deadly.

She found herself in a clean white room - and glancing around, she felt like she was waiting for something. There was a bench and a calming fountain next to it and Beatrice walked forward. She put her hand in the mist of the fountain and hesitated, pulling her hand back. It was warm to the touch - not, hot, no searing she realized. "What the hell..." Beatrice then turned around, only to be struck with the realization that none of this was real. It was just a dream. She had always wanted to try lucid dreaming at some point in her life and she stepped forward, imagining that there was an apple in front of her on the ground.

Instead, a rattlesnake appeared in her dream. Close enough?

Thanks to October and Carolina's efforts, S.H.I.E.L.D. managed to identify the 0-8-4 (although the two girls themselves never learned exactly what its function was). Faust's plan was revealed too - he was attempting to use mortal children as pawns to advance the apocalypse. S.H.I.E.L.D. agents shut the school down, with most of them relocated to Emma Frost's academy in Massachusetts, where the headmistress graciously sponsored their tuition. For their bravery, October and Carolina were given a crisp high five from Phil Coulson.

Unfortunately, Mephistopheles managed to escape from S.H.I.E.L.D. custody. The apocalypse in Altsoba was barely prevented in time and it would not be until Coventry, after October herself gave her life, that the demon would be spared. Yet amongst this grim ending, there was one moment perhaps worth mentioning. Shortly after the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents came to collect Faust/Mephistopheles, October whispered to Carolina her feelings.

She kissed her friend, her lips tasting like fire, and knew that no matter what, she was excited for the road that lay ahead.
