Present Day - The Castle: May 4th, 12,508 - 12:45 PM

@Nallore@KazAlkemi@LadyRunic: Nera looked at Arnora for a moment, before she laughed slightly. She hadn't been asked to tell her story before - not even really when she was alive. She had been a tool for others and in her rebellion against that, she had lost her life. At least her objective had been secure - she had killed Queen Meliscente. She had sent Queen Meliscente's house spiraling into chaos... It was close enough to what she had wanted to do, anyways.

"I was murdered," Nera said, taking in her audience. "A humble witch in this household, I was one of the few who could walk the path of Lyte as well as Darke...A tyrant by the name of Amarantha, who framed me for her murder of the Castle Queen - Queen Meliscente - killed me on this spot. If you can avenge my death...Then I will help you find what you seek. Perhaps then I can rest easy."

"What's stopping us from just burning this house to the ground and finding it amongst the ashes?" Minerva asked.

"Nothing but your vanity."

@LadyRunic: As Rhys approaches Wizard Tower, he'll find himself under the Great Arch for a moment. It marks the entrance to the tower from Wizard Way and it is decorated with ornate Lapis Lazuli. For a brief moment as he passes underneath it, his symptoms will seem to be all but gone. And as soon as he steps out from underneath the arch, they return in full force. The Wizard Tower itself requires a password to enter and it has changed since Rhys' time, so he'll need to find some other way to enter the building.

@FantasyChic: Meadow nodded, looking at Fleur. She found Magyk to be strange and weird, yet she knew that her cousin's kingdom, the Castle, thrived due to its presence. In the Lagoon, they had to traverse around as normal mortals. There were rumors that a woman with Magyk had relocated there with her wife, but Meadow had never heard them nor seen them. However, the Crown Princess' curious nature soon vanished. One of Fleur's spies had finished Scrying and came with frantic news.

"Witch Mother, I apologize for the intrusion - the Prince is dying."

Arya Rincewind

Location: The Palace - Princess Luna's Chambers

The girl with the niffler nodded, though she looked a bit offended. "Oh, Tinsel would never hurt anyone!" Her voice had a soft accent to it, one that was particularly hard to place. In modern times, it would be called British. She scratched behind the ears of the niffler and gave a bit of a bow to everyone, before she dashed through the kitchens and went out onto the Palace Lawn, vanishing from sight.

Rainbrook remained in the hallway outside of the chambers with Cuyler. He shook his head slightly. "Magi er en del av meg. Jeg kommer ikke til å slutte å være hvem jeg er ute av frykt for," he replied in hushed tones. With all of the illness in this place, both physical and mental, Rainbrook thought it best to keep his tone lowered - as if he were dealing with ill puppies and not mad people.

Arya hesitated outside of Princess Luna's chambers for a moment, stepping over to Cuyler. She had kept a neutral expression on her face as Queen Valda hit one of the servants, Lyra, and the rings causing blood to be drawn. The wound would likely scar. "So that I might attend to the prince," Arya whispered to him, holding out her hand. "His abilities will require me to be able to properly See," she added. The two of them had a hushed yet intense fight, ending in the Northern Trader caving in and returning the amulet to her.

As Arya placed the amulet around her neck, a bit of color returned to her face. She took a breath and gave Cuyler a chaste kiss, before she bowed her head slightly and entered Princess Luna's chambers.

"So um...A-a-actually I do have a question for you..." Rainbrook said to Cuyler, looking at him sheepishly. "How does one...fl-flirt?"

Back within Princess Luna's chambers, Arya took a moment to survey the scene. She hoped that the maiden Queen Valda had struck would have the good sense to not follow the agitated Queen inside. "I see, Your Majesty," Arya said, gently approaching the bed of Prince Myrus. She did her best to give Luna her privacy, acting as if she did not hear the conversation. Arya paused for a moment, her head pounding.

Her vision blurred and Arya saw double for a moment, before she collapsed to the ground, fainted. Myrus was still fast asleep, running a bit of a temperature.

Antonije Magnisky

Location: Number 40 Alchemie Way - Living Room

Runa nodded. She sat down on the floor, her legs crossed, and she began to chant. Her chant was soft and powerful, like a rushing stream growing in force against a barrier. As it continued, the same dark energy appeared to swirl around her and when she opened her eyes, they were pure white. Yet the Goddess of Lies continued on until the spell was complete. "There - I have protected their life force against attacks caused by you, Bruce," Runa said, looking quite tired. Her head was pounding as she caught her breath. It had taken a lot of her strength.

Antonije meanwhile pried his gaze away from Sylvi and looked at his sisters. Runa might have managed to calm him down, but his anger threatened to flare up again. It wasn't right for them to have to suffer like this. They needed to be free to run and do whatever they pleased. It was what his parents would have wanted for them, at any rate. He spoke into his sisters' minds and Marya frowned slightly, before she nodded in understanding. They couldn't tell anyone of this plan - not Bruce, Myth, and certainly not Sylvi.

"Yes, sit down," Halley said. She actually had medical training as well that she had received on Midgard. She glanced around the room, before she saw the sofa and her hands swarmed with red energy. The sofa was then dragged over and Halley gently helped her brother's fiancée down, figuring she could assist her father with the check-up.

Luckily for Myth, she wouldn't be feeling any sort of problems.

There was then a POP! and a portal appeared, with a girl with curly brown hair stepping out of it with a niffler. "Oh my gods, you guys missed it!" Astrid, Bruce's younger sister, exclaimed. She closed the portal behind her like she was slamming a door and she continued to pet the cute niffler. "The Queen went batshit and hit this pathetic little servant woman! Oh and then that prince from the Land of Long Nights? He's such a baby, little coward was scared of Tinsel!" She then made cooing noises at the niffler.

"Myth, this is my daughter Astrid..." Runa told the bard. Astrid was certainly the loudest and most spunky of the family.

"Oh, you're my brother's girl? Aww you're so cute! I'm Astrid - like my mum said. I'm the cool one in this family of dorks."

Guin Stark

She paused for a moment, thinking it over. "They'd probably send us back to some hotel if we showed ourselves to them. So we have to wait until they can't waste time to do that - so it's going to have to be a swoop in at the last second and save their asses type of thing," Guin reasoned. She didn't want to be watching her father and his friends save the world from some hotel room. If that was going to happen, then they would have come all of this way for nothing.

"How about we try and get to the roof? We can get a better view of everything going on - or maybe you can like...be a radiation detector? And sniff out where Sterns is?" Guin suggested, looking at her friend. They hadn't ever really tested the extent of his powers, beyond the one all night training session they had done together on a roof in New York.

"Normal is GONE! Normal doesn't exist anymore!"

Charles Xavier had a dream - that one day, mutants and humans could live in peace and harmony. To accomplish this goal, he invested his personal fortune in the creation of the X-Men - a team of the best and brightest mutants who could help spread tolerance and acceptance, who could fight battles for both mutants and humans. Cyclops, Storm, Gambit, Rogue, Jean Grey, Beast, and Wolverine risked their lives for that dream.

Erik Lensherr had a competing vision - one of mutant supremacy over humanity. If equality couldn't be achieved, then mutants would settle for superiority. The best friend and dearest foe of Charles Xavier founded the Brotherhood of Mutants - a team of the best and brightest mutants who could help dominant the human race through proactive and violent acts of terrorism. Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, Toad, Mastermind, and Mystique fought to realize Magneto's dream.

But dreams are just that: dreams.

In a world plagued with prejudice and cruelty on both sides, mutants and humans alike, dreams are not enough. They didn't stop the tragedy of the O.M.E.N. sending sentinels to attack a school of mutant children - and they failed to prevent 7/15, a day that will live on in infamy from the human lives lost. There's blame on both sides and blood is in the water.

The Mutant Underground must rise to the occasion to meet the unmet need - to protect mutants and humans from each other. For years, they've been helping smuggle mutants across the border, sending them to areas where the mutant laws are lesser, where they can be free. Yet with the rise of the hate group called the Purifiers and the interference of a mysterious Inner Circle, that won't be enough.

It's time for action. And this time around, the X-Men and the Brotherhood won't be saving anyone.

It's up to you!

Mutant Underground D.C. Station: September 7th, 2020 - 12:00 PM

The Mutant Underground Station wasn't much to look at. Located in an abandoned warehouse, hardly anyone had privacy. A few of the older members had snagged the best couches - all of them filled with holes and lumpy in every unpleasant place - and a pillow that wasn't covered in dirt was considered a luxury. They had had a late night last night, transporting a group of refuges to the Atlanta Station as part of a scheme to get them to Mexico.

"Break's over," Veil called out from the top of the staircase. Her voice was loud enough that everyone would be able to hear her. Breakfast had been skipped that day and it was about time to eat lunch. Usually Veil ran meetings in the morning, since people were enticed to come by cheap-ass coffee they had found in a food bank. This time, her way of ensuring attendance was holding the lunch food hostage - and they had scored actual meat that day.

"Havok's got intel for us - we've got a job today," Veil added.

"Super hot, too - but not as hot as Lorna was, ey ohhh!" Havok laughed, going over to the mess area and eagerly trying to grab a plate. Veil flicked her hand and a transparent purple force prevented him from grabbing it. "Veil, damn it!"

"Manners, please," Colossus scolded, rolling his eyes at the younger mutant. "Come everyone, food is good for body and soul. And we have mission." It was perhaps for the best that Colossus had his back turned on Havok, so that way he couldn't see the blonde mockingly mouthing we have mission! at Negasonic Teenage Warhead. Negasonic just rolled her eyes at Havok, but she smirked slightly.

"You guys are the worst," Veil said with a light laugh.
Millennium Plaza - Washington D.C.

Sunshine's stomach grumbled as she walked along the sidewalk. Summer had started to end, meaning that her life had become a bit more difficult. Kids had started going back to school, meaning that scavenging for food and necessities became hard - it was easier to spot the mutant kid when the only kids wandering around the city were truant. The lower temperatures of autumn and winter also meant that she really did need a blanket at night to sleep with.

Fortunately, it was only 80 degrees at the moment - the sort of weather she could work with. She opened up her bag and glanced inside - no cash, just granola bars. Wrinkling her nose a bit, her hungry stomach reminded her that she needed to eat - but she didn't want to have granola again... Not when there was a perfectly good strip mall in front of her! She whistled a bit.

"I am such an idiot..." she muttered, as she walked in the direction of the stores. She'd just order a sandwich and run without paying for it - or maybe there'd be something decent at the convenience store she could smuggle out. There was a nail place and Sunshine looked at it a little wistfully. Some people - they had time for that sort of thing in their life. Her heart turned green with envy.

"I deserve a goddamn sandwich," she mumbled.
The Hellfire Club - Washington D.C.

"Is he here?" the White Queen asked, wearing a glittering white pantsuit. Her ankles were crossed in front of her and she telekinetically stirred her martini idly. Across the room, three triplets looked on anxiously, their gazes switching between the White Queen and the Black Queen. Of course, in a room like this, any conversation could be taken care of telepathically. Yet the Black King was out at a weapons expo and would not return for some time.

"Yes, Sage just informed me - he's arrived," the Black Queen answered, setting a tablet aside.

The elevator doors opened and the White King came into the room. His eyes were narrowed as he looked at the five women. "This had better be important, Emma, Reeva," he said gruffly.

Emma Frost smiled, rising from her seat. A file that had been sitting down next to her was telekinetically raised and flew over to Magneto. It had metal clippings on it, allowing Magneto to levitate it as he flipped through, his eyes narrowing. "I see. What's your plan?"

"The usual. Kill him and take his seat," Emma said with a shrug. "He's an enemy of the Inner Circle."

"He is the Inner Circle," Magneto corrected. He was hardly ever present at the Hellfire Club. The Brotherhood of Mutants took up too much of his time.

"He won't be for much longer," Reeva promised. "The girls and I can handle everything...All I need is your agreement to turn a blind eye, the both of you."

Guin Stark

Location: Electronics Laboratory -> Chemical Laboratory - First Sub-Basement

Guin heard the knock at the door and she half expected her father to be on the other side, somehow instantly traveling from New York City to Westchester in order to scold her for not eating. She waited a few seconds before she opened the door slightly and noticed the plate along with Richard's note. She wrinkled her nose. "Like hell this is just a coincidence," she muttered, perhaps a bit paranoid. She grabbed the plate and shut the door, pulling out her phone again. With the apple slices and the peanut butter, she rearranged them on the plate and snapped a picture of it to Richard, before setting the plate outside of the lab again.

In the photograph she sent him, the apple slices and peanut butter were arranged to spell 'FUCK OFF'. Guin couldn't help but smirk slightly. She generally used her meager art skills for sketching schematics, but this little project had been fun too. She then heard a crash in the chemical lab - the labs were all actually pretty much connected, with flimsy dividers separating the spaces.

Heading on over, Guin found Bethany and Lance there - and Lance had just smashed whatever he was working on. "You forgot to say HULK SMASH! if you were trying to mock Banner," Guin pointed out to him. "Pissed at your dad too? Oh, and hey BB gun," she said, giving a slight wave to Bethany.

Dean Kesseli

Location: Parlor Room - Ground Floor

Dean gulped slightly as Ayita came into the room. He had to wonder if she could smell fear - was that a mutation? Probably. There were people here at the Institute with even crazier things that they could do, so it made sense. He hastily stole a glance over at Ayita, flinching a bit as the remote was thrown. Was it a warning shot? Did she want to behead him? Mary didn't seem to be unnerved at all, making Dean wonder if she was brave or crazy. Or both. "He dated a reporter?" Dean asked.

It was easier to focus on that, instead of the in depth images of animals in the wild. When they showed acts of violence, did it give Ayita ideas? Was she sitting there, taking notes on how to best be terrifying? He felt like he was sweating his skin off from nervousness. He wanted to run from the room but he had heard once that running from a wild animal would only encourage it to chase you. And he did not want Ayita to chase him. Maybe he could hide behind Wolverine? Where was Logan anyways? Was he going to grab them and drag them into the Danger Room for training today? He hoped not.

"Um...Ayita...I-I was thinking maybe we could watch something else...Like Big Bang Theory maybe...If that's okay...with you..."

Neil Spellman

Location: Library - Ground Floor

Neil nodded, picking up a twenty sider and he rolled it. The number 18 came up and he smiled slightly - while some Dungeon Masters loved it when everything went wrong for their players, Neil wanted them to rise to the challenge and succeed. Fortunately, the creatures hadn't come up to the players camp yet according to the die. "Alright, everyone is awake," Neil said. He then rolled another twenty sider - a 2 this time. "The noises grow louder and louder, when suddenly, a pack of dire wolves burst through the trees! Roll for initiative."

He smiled slightly, nervously taking a glance at Sara Grey. He rarely spoke to her outside of D&D, but just looking at her made his chest feel tight and his stomach feel like it was filled with a mob of angry wasps - or butterflies. His brain got a little bit more muddled when she was around and he looked away, trying not to get too distracted. He was controlling the mechanics for the world of these players - he didn't have the time to get goo-goo eyed over Sara Grey.

Neil then reached into a nearby bag of Hershey Kisses and put a bunch of them down on the battle map. He liked using candy for the monsters, as then the player that killed the beast would get to eat the candy as their reward.

Jia Li

{"When it rains, it pours..."}

Jia Li was a bit surprised that her fall had been broken for her. Yet as she turned and saw the little air bender fall, breaking her leg by the sound of it, Jia Li gritted her teeth. The other escapees were right. They needed to get moving. She bent down and tried to pick up the small girl, figuring it'd be faster, but it was as if the girl was made out of lead. "Kid, what have you been eating..." she muttered under her breath. She couldn't pick her up, just sort of propping her up for slight support, but they wouldn't be able to run with her like this.

"...We need to get a cart or an animal," Jia Li said to her companions, scanning the surrounding area. If they could put those with leg related injuries in the cart, they'd be able to travel a lot faster. But they needed to get out of dodge as soon as possible. It wouldn't be long until the guards came and she doubted they'd hold back when it came to fighting escaped prisoners.
@Nallore Good to go, move her over. She needs at least one relation since she's in the Mutant Underground but you are welcome to do more. This can be with Veil, any of the NPC's in the Underground (except Magik), or any other character someone creates.
