It’s 2011, North Carolina's. Everything seems fine—normal, even. But you’ve felt it, haven’t you? That tension in the air. That weird sense that something big is just around the corner. The world’s holding its breath, and nobody knows why.
This isn’t the aftermath. This is the beginning—the slow, quiet unraveling of the world before it all goes to hell.
What Is This?
It’s a modern-day zombie apocalypse RP—but not the kind where you jump in guns blazing. This is the slow burn. Society hasn’t collapsed. Most people don’t even know anything’s wrong. But the signs are there—disappearances, strange illnesses, media blackouts, unease on the streets.
You play a regular person. Living your life. Watching the world begin to rot from the inside out.
How long will you hold on to normal?
Who’s Running This?
Mr. MixMan – Chaos, curveballs, tension, and twisted humor. Keeps things unpredictable.
ChronicleMan – Grounded realism and worldbuilding. Keeps things coherent, immersive, and human.
Together, we’re crafting a story where the descent into horror feels real.
What to Expect
The Slow Burn – This isn’t instant zombies. Things escalate over time. People vanish, systems fail, trust breaks.
Grounded Characters – You’re a teacher. A college kid. A janitor. A nobody. Not a hero—yet.
Reactive World – How you live now will shape how you survive later. Ignore the signs, chase the truth, or pretend everything’s fine.
Consequences – Your choices matter. So does your character’s mindset, fear level, and relationships. Paranoia is currency here.
Rules
1. Realism First – You’re not a badass. You’re not a secret agent. You’re a regular person. Play it grounded.
2. No Meta-Knowledge – Your character doesn’t know it’s zombies. No prepping bunkers or stocking guns unless it makes sense for them.
3. Quality Writing – Third-person, past tense. Show us your character’s thoughts, fears, and flaws.
4. Be Respectful – No godmoding. No drama. Work with your fellow writers, not against them.
5. Stay Active – Try to post once every 7–11 days. If you vanish, your character becomes NPCable.
6. Choices Have Weight – You can absolutely die in this RP—but it’ll mean something if you do.
