Dear Mr Curly,
I have done little travelling lately because I have been so dreadfully weary. Can it be true as the old Ecclesiastes said; that all things lead to weariness? Surely not. Perhaps the opposite is true: that all nothings lead to weariness. I have a peculiar feeling, Curly, that I am worn out from something I haven't yet done and the more I don't do it, the more exhausted I become. How strange. Could it be something I haven't realised? Perhaps it's something I haven't said? Something I haven't finished! It must be very large and true whatever it is and a lively struggle in the doing but I look forward to it immensely. I know I need it. First, however, I must curl up in my chair and sleep deeply with the duck. Perhaps I'll dream of this thing and wake up refreshed and do it. My fond wishes to you Mr. Curly, and to all Curly Flat.
Yours sleepily,
Vasco Pyjama

P.S. Not having breakfast can make you weary. That's for sure!

Oh yeah, one in one hundred...hmm. That'll be pretty widespread.
Sabine returned the kiss with such passion that she didn't even seem to mind those around her. Once the kiss ended, she remained in Peiter's embrace and simply smiled while leaning her forehead against his. She could feel her worries about Peiter's wellbeing begin to melt away. However, there were some things that wouldn't cease to be noticed. Notably, that Sabine only had one arm around her.

Sabine sat up to be seated next to Peiter, even if there wasn't much space between him and the other casualties. Her eyes couldn't resist glancing at the bandaged stump that used to be Peiter's right arm. Sabine hesitated. "Does it hurt?"

Tzirret had thought ahead, so he showed surprisingly little hesitation as he smiled and gave Ma'tanza a hug. Seeing as they were moving, he didn't hold her for too long. He let her go and began walking beside her and everyone else. "This one just wanted to check on everyone. Especially S'nishi," Tzirret said, leaning forward and looking at S'nishi's wounds before straightening again. "With Peiter and the healing he has not had...wait, 'can' he talk?" Tzirret gave a quizzical look. "Is there something Ma'tanza wants to speak to Tzirret about?"

The mood that Gallus had left the healers tent with was painted all over his demeanour as he walked along the caravan. He was going up and down, inspecting the supplies to make sure they were all secure. He was anxiously sipping on a waterskin that dripped with a green potion when Meesei spotted him. He seemed slightly surprised when they made eye contact, but his exhausted and stressed face quickly took over again by the time he reached the back of Meesei's cart and began to follow along.

"What happened to you?" Gallus asked with a frown. "You look like you've been reborn in comparison to last night. Sorry I didn't visit before we left, I assumed you'd need the rest and..." Gallus looked to the cart behind him. "There's always more work to be done." Gallus exhaled with some force and took another sip of his potion.
Oh, right, I got them mixed up. I'll edit that now :I
Gallus did not turn to acknowledge Peiter's shouts as he swat aside the entrance flap of the tent. Peiter was left alone until Uthri found him again to carry him onto a cart.

The camp was all set to march out soon enough. The carts and formations left behind discarded tents and supplies where they stood. Some extra material was sewn up to make scarecrows within the camp in a rush. It would possibly fool any scouts that came across the camp, though that was a measure that would be unlikely to work for long.

Sabine succeeded in making three bottles of slow regenerative potions for Meesei before they left. It was enough for three days, as she had said, but she would be able to make more when they set up their new camp. Supply would be steady as long as she had ingredients. With how much time it took her to brew and to have something to eat, she had been so withdrawn that she didn't even hear about Peiter waking up until she went looking for him during the march.

Peiter, whether he was laying awake or trying to sleep on the bumpy ride ahead, would hear Sabine's voice a few minutes into the journey. "Peiter!" There was a slight shift of weight as Sabine leapt onto the cart and crawled over to where Peiter laid. She wrapped her arms around his neck and hugged him closely without any signs of letting go. "I am so glad to see you," she breathed.

Elsewhere, Tzirret had finally finished the duties assigned to him for the moment. He still didn't know what to say to Peiter, and after hearing about what kind of mood Gallus was in, he didn't seek out him either. He might have gone to find Uthri to get an update on the goings on, but his mind was too closely preoccupied with Ma'tanza. He hadn't seen her since the rush to heal everyone the night before. He wanted to know if S'nishi and Bheja were okay.

He sought Ma'tanza out along the caravan. She had probably been as busy as Tzirret had been.
Gallus didn't flinch. He waited for Peiter to shout everything he wanted to and then paused to make sure that he was done. His next movement was to face Uthri, calmly addressing her. "Uthri, I need you to go outside and help the healers pack up."

Uthri silently complied, but not without eyeing Gallus with fear. Again, Gallus waited until she had left the tent. He then turned his head back to Peiter. He answered Peiter's glare with a stern scowl. What came next were not words. Gallus stepped up to Peiter.

Peiter felt a wrenching sensation before he recognised what the sound of skin striking skin was. His head had turned away Gallus and his vision went completely out of focus. Shock gave way to stinging pain and Peiter's vision focussed on Gallus with his flat hand having followed through to his opposite side.

Gallus muttered through grit teeth, "I did not adopt an ungrateful coward into this pack!" His brow had dropped into pure anger. "Your words are that of a spoiled child." Even if Peiter had a response, Gallus turned on his heel and began to stride for the exit as briskly as he came in.
In other news, look at what Hael was getting up to back in the days. That silly seaweed.
Anyway, the above is compulsory reading. Read all eight pages. Right now.

Maybe later.

EDIT: Just skimmed it. Seems like two literate people talking smack.
Gallus blinked and his jaw visibly clenched once more. "What was that?" he said after a second, turning his ear slightly towards Peiter. "I don't care? Well..." Gallus started looking around and jittered in place as he silently tapped his toe against the floor of his boot. His eyes widened as he spoke. "That's a surprising thing to hear, um..."

Gallus sniffed. With all that had been displayed, he seemed like he was holding back. He stilled himself and looked to Peiter directly, raised brow and all. "What makes you say that, my boy?"

Uthri tried to chime in, "Gallus, he doesn't mean-"

"-No." Gallus raised his palm to silence Uthri without taking his eyes off Peiter's face. "I want to hear what he has to say for himself."

...@Kangutso? Status, mon amie?
I was going to initiate it myself, but my characters come in on the latter parts.

Because this promises to be really big, what I suggest is doing it in chapters. Start with a few players starting things off. When another player enters the field, post what's been put up already and then continue the collab. That should make for -- what? -- three or four parts? I think it'll help reduce post droughts.

@Vec@Rtron@BBeast, maybe you guys can begin? One of you set up a pad, pl0x?
I'm going to be too busy to post for a few hours. I'll say g'night.
