Dear Mr Curly,
I have done little travelling lately because I have been so dreadfully weary. Can it be true as the old Ecclesiastes said; that all things lead to weariness? Surely not. Perhaps the opposite is true: that all nothings lead to weariness. I have a peculiar feeling, Curly, that I am worn out from something I haven't yet done and the more I don't do it, the more exhausted I become. How strange. Could it be something I haven't realised? Perhaps it's something I haven't said? Something I haven't finished! It must be very large and true whatever it is and a lively struggle in the doing but I look forward to it immensely. I know I need it. First, however, I must curl up in my chair and sleep deeply with the duck. Perhaps I'll dream of this thing and wake up refreshed and do it. My fond wishes to you Mr. Curly, and to all Curly Flat.
Yours sleepily,
Vasco Pyjama

P.S. Not having breakfast can make you weary. That's for sure!

Now to play the "I wonder if BBeast has left for his holiday yet and if he saw my PM in time to ask if he could post our completed collab so I don't have to double post" game.

I might just have to double post anyway. How shameful of me.
Lunise was not amused by Meesei's anticipation. She instead frowned and opened her eyes to the mirror, looking at Meesei's face on her shoulder. "For the longest time I have held that...persona, as you call it. I am not sure if I can lower it for anyone else. It is a part of me, Meesei." She pulled Meesei's arms tighter around her waist. "I must admit, something inside me is uncomfortable about changing how your pack currently sees me. Even past all your reasoning and such. I am used to being a justicar around everyone."
Lunise stood up from the dresser and closed her eyes. One hand took Meesei's arm as it wrapped around her. She relaxed into the closeness.

"If I were to go with you," she said quietly. "...If I were to visit your pack. The only other times I would meet them would be only at that level of risk?"

Moments passed before another question surfaced. "And...While I do not believe it is a matter to me, you are sure they would approve of us? For your sake?"
Lunise opened and closed her mouth a few times. Her mind clutched at straws that were slipping away from her fingers. "It is still a risk to be in their company," she said unsurely. "Here, or places where we visit together, we are spotted as a couple that could be mistaken for us."

She let out her breath and paused, taking a long blink. Her hand went to her chest and she looked pleadingly at Meesei. "It it were me, you, two Khajiit, a Dunmer, another two Argonians, an Orc, and an Imperial all together travelling in one place. That is your pack. That is undeniable. Your pack may keep secrets, but all it takes is a single misstep."

Lunise stood up from the bed and walked over to her dresser. With one hand, she leaned on its edge to face the mirror on the wall above it. With the other, she ran her fingers down her face, being careful not to smudge the make-up that she always wore during the day. "This is so, so tenuous, Meesei. You know it as well as I do. Yet, it stands that I am the one with the most to lose. I find it rash. Too rash to consider."
Lunise nodded deeply at the mention of Fendros' sign. "Perhaps Fendros is just who you need if you should all encounter Do'Rhajul again."

When Meesei invited Lunise to meet her pack, her smile faded and she turned her face away, conflicted. "Meesei, you know why I am not comfortable telling anyone else about us." Her hand loosened from around Meesei to clutch at the sheets behind her. "You may trust them, but it only puts more risk on us to let more people know, no matter who they are. And if word reaches the wrong people, through some means or another...My life, everything I have done. It will be forfeit."
Lunise's voice softened. "You know them better than I. But, I cannot doubt their capabilities having something to do with it. You, for instance, were quite sane when I first encountered you. Nothing has made me doubt that." Her eyes shifted. "Except perhaps intending to invade Oblivion, though needs must as the Daedra drive."

Lowering her eyes, Lunise sighed from her nose. "I wish I could forget about work. There have been some attacks similar sounding to lycans here around Arenthia that have been connected to some organised criminal elements. I am here to liase with the nearest clan to make sure they aren't complicit." She paused, "And ostensibly for them to assist the investigation via myself. I have no reason to believe that the clan is breaking the law, but they have been defensive and belligerent towards me. They help only as far as their treaty with the Dominion obliges them to."

Lunise shook her head. "But let us leave that for later. It does not concern you." She lifted her brow and returned her eyes to Meesei. "Tell me, how is your pack faring?"
We'll forge new armaments. The Aether Sword, the Earth Hammer, the Water Axe, and the Air Cannon.

The Air Cannon will shoot potatos at uppity players. The first spud will go in the direction of the one that questions the might of the Air Cannon.
"That would explain your garb," Lunise observed.

Lunise joined Meesei close beside her on the edge of the bed, holding her opposite hand between them. She listened to every word, pausing to produce an amused harrumph at the fate of the overconfident Nord.

Given the topic, Lunise responded with her professional tone, even though she was relaxed in Meesei's company. "If this man fought with this axe against a group of bandits, he is either not alone or very skilled. And that axe must indeed be an effective tool. How do you intend to acquire the axe if you find it still in his hands?"
@Slime Unfortunately, Conata is booked to encounter someone else in the Shalanoir Pass right now. However, that collab might get done not long after or before you're done with what you're doing, depending on how big it is. Get in touch after Conata's next post and we'll work something out :)
Meesei's eyes readjusted to a light considerably dim in comparison to the Alik'r desert. Not only was she indoors, but the window shed light from a grey, overcast sky outside. Lunise sat on a large bed in front of her, one hand on the other in her lap. She was in her uniform, as was usual for her occupation. The rest of the room was a guest room, somewhat austere in decor but still large enough and well furnished to befit a Dominion official.

Lunise stood up, smiled, and stepped up to Meesei to give her a hug and a quick kiss. Though it had been difficult to notice the change, Lunise had progressed from having difficulty dropping her official veneer to outright shedding on sight of Meesei's arrival. "Greetings, Meesei," she said. One of her hands loosely clutched Meesei's shoulder. "You are warm today. Did you just step out from the sun?"
