The realisation of the element? Here's how the realisation happens in each:Dak: His best friend shares a terrible secret with him and asks him not to tell it. This particular secret was that somebuffalo was planning to kill the chief and usurp the rule of the tribe. Dak's friend trusts him very much, and Dak doesn't want to break that trust, but he ends up having to tell the truth.Sera: Sera hates gryphons, for something that multiple of them did to her family a long time ago. However, she gives Gilda a chance, and ends up liking her... Until Gilda and Dak decide that the only possible way they can get Sera to overcome cruelty is by getting Sera to hate Gilda and subsequently putting Gilda in a life-or-death situation where only Sera can save her.Kang: Kang doesn't believe that these "elements of harmony" mean anything, but he accepts the pendant anyway, not wearing it. Gilda, Dak, and Sera facilitate a plan that causes nearly all of the town to fall into poverty. The only financially untouched cranes are Kang and a few others, who won't let go of their money. Gilda and friends have to find the pendant, not get seen, and nudge Kang in the right direction, before getting the pendant on Kang just as he gives everything up. Also, somewhat irrelevant, but Kang still doesn't believe the elements actually mean anything at this point.Smee: Since Smee won't accept the element at all, they have to persuade him to do so. However, they can't think of anything that would cause Smee to have to face his anti-element. Eventually, Dak realises that if they hadn't tried to force the realisation, it would have been a lot quicker and would have much less loss, so they take their hooves completely out of it. And of course, the day after, the most depressed member of the waddle decides to commit suicide. Smee at this point is in despair and is finding it so hard to laugh, but he realises that he must break out of it and keep his friend from suicide with laughter.Veninde: This one isn't fully thought out yet, but it has the basic gist of Veninde continually trying to make friends with the most unfriendly member of her herd. Eventually, the member is so angry at Veninde's efforts that he rallies the rest of the herd to force Veninde out. However, she figures out how to strike his heart and she makes friends with him.Each time the process is different. With Dak, one's life isn't directly at stake. With Sera, life is at stake, and Sera has to overcome hate. Kang comes with the added struggle of getting the pendant onto him, and no bird's life is at stake. Smee's anti-element adversary is inside himself and with another penguin. Veninde's adversary turns out to be the .

Butbutbut the only way to be able to fully use one's element is to exemplify the trait under great duress from the opposite! At least in the canon of my story. And also, the barebones formula is beginning and end. Not Beginning, middle, and end, just Beginning and End. The to get to that end are very different in each story thread.

Yoy.About this: "I would really recommend making sure the pain behind Scootaloo’s need for revenge is astronomical, to drive it to the point of wanting to kill Guilda for it. That’ll need a lot of detail to be convincing. Most of all, make sure that the plot isn’t repetitive (ie >Go to village >Overcome anti-element >New group member realizes element)."Scootaloo: Scootaloo trusts Rainbow Dash very, very much. Rainbow Dash promised Scootaloo that when she was gone, Scootaloo would get Loyalty. Scootaloo feels like Gilda broke Dash's promise and her loyalty, and then there's that foalish greed driving it. Although, if it makes it more believable, I can do this: Scootaloo scoots up to where Gilda is going where the remains of the elements are. Gilda gets there before her and picks up the pendant. She is about to put it on when Scootaloo gets there and calls for her to stop because it's supposed to be hers, but Gilda (being Gilda) just sneers and puts it on. Scootaloo is devastated when the element shines and Gilda is shown as the true bearer, and once Gilda defeats Discord she can gloat a bit.Repetitive plot: The way it goes down is actually quite different. Dak (what I've chosen for Daacad) will think that Gilda getting to know him was just one big lie and will throw the element at her before running off. Gilda will have to nudge him toward doing the right thing and being honest about the terrible secret his friend entrusted to him, thus saving the tribe, and she'll have to get him the element just as he tells the truth.Sera (Seraphim, what I've chosen for Udāratā) will accept the element even though nothing happens, because she wouldn't think of it as something mean. The only thing that the two of them can think of to cause Sera to have to overcome her anti-element will be getting Sera to hate Gilda and then having Sera save Gilda. Kang (Temp for Kangkai) will accept the element, but won't wear it, so Gilda and friends have to somehow find the element in his home behind his back and get him to wear it just as he gives away all his long-earned money.Smee won't accept it because he thinks that it'll be useless, since penguins don't think of accessories as useful and the only use they have for gems is for their magic. Gilda and friends have to figure out how to get it to work the same way as Smee's crystal, and they won't be able to think of something to get Smee to overcome his anti-element. That actually happens naturally, and they only figure out that the element was tuned to work like Smee's crystal just in time to get it on him as he saves the suicidal penguin.Veninde will accept it like Sera did and there won't need to be any fancy business, although Gilda will take a while to realise that it's supposed to be friendship guiding her and not magic.Commentary: Explain how a “daymare” could occur: It's basically a daydream, but it's involuntary like a nightmare. It'd strike her like a vision (because they basically visions) in the middle of the battle and change her sight to that of the scene in the dream, causing her to nearly get killed.
