Well if you really really want him go be a Codex, there was another one that Baphumey killed, who was a Rank F, because she basically gave up her status of Codex. Each Codex has something within them that means that they're a part of the Codex, so while it didn't kill her, the fact that she gave it up could mean that the next Codex born received it.
