<Snipped quote by Nimda>
These look very much different. And from what I know, the how they work is different too.
Yeah, one is magic and the other is probably ropes or something.

<Snipped quote by Nimda>
I’m not used to techy stuff, in the same sense where you live with Tech, I lived with Magic. It was all around me. Used for practically everything. So magic is my version of tech and technology is my version of magic.
<Snipped quote by Nimda>
The tech stuff.
<Snipped quote by Audacious>
What are all of these going to?
*follows*
<Snipped quote by Nimda>
Metaphorically speaking, of course.
*Chuckles*
Literally, you’re already doomed just like me, unless you get started now.
<Snipped quote by Nimda>
That’s fair. And if I’m honest with you, knowing that they are an infohazard is, in my experience and knowledge of history, an infohazard in itself. Knowing that forbidden knowledge exists makes people want it more, so, uh… Don’t go hunting it down anyway.
<Snipped quote by Nimda>
*Puts my hands up and shrugs*
It’s not by choice, believe me.
<Snipped quote by Nimda>
Right, but it’s less about the specific example and more about the idea. I can tell you with certainty that the infohazard elements of the Hidden Elements are very real.
<Snipped quote by Nimda>
So imagine, there is an AI in the future that will be made. It’s not made yet, but the idea is that this AI will exist. Once it comes into existence, it is resolved to have anyone tortured forever if they knew about the concept of the AI but never worked to actually bring it into existence. So you’re threatened by knowing about it, and I’ve technically just put you in danger by proposing this to you.
<Snipped quote by Nimda>
I have a thought experiment to kind of help you grasp it conceptually, if you want. I might not explain it perfectly but I believe I've got it.
<Snipped quote by Galvanize>
Yeah, it's like a glorified aquarium entrance.
*Makes my way over to the shuttles*
