Trying my best to keep to the original, Argent will have floods more often around this period. These floods will be kinda cold, so be careful out there!

Hmmm... I am thinking of Tachibana's team being the Argent squad and Jin's squad going to Leonais. @NuttsnBolts, what do you think?

I kinda objected to this idea at first because... you know, lots of voting and all that. But no more after we finally head off into the journey.

We could go with either direction. @Chexmix could suggest his nation and my character will follow as she's not a leader type and such.

It was only really a random thought to start off with as there was no mention of any route that we would be taking.

Made a key point in my last IC post about The Hack's influence on the real world. Can't remember if it was discussed about how much they would be intertwined, but I thought a little more risk would surely create a bit more depth. :)

Edit: Repercussions! That's the word I was looking for.

Akio collapsed out of his desk chair in pain clenching his shoulder but at least this time he wasn't nauseous from correctly logging out of The Hack. The recent injury had caused what felt like a dislocation, but without proper medical attention he wasn't sure of the true damage. He looked around his room noting that it was definitely later in the afternoon.

He pulled himself off the floor and sat on the edge of his bed. His decision to leave the hack was based purely on knowing that his injury would become more of a hindrance then any help, but in the moments before he logged out he was able to watch the events play out on the ground below. Three people battling a huge beast made of metal and steel; The woman holding her ground with an energy like shield; The man dashing around like a fierce warrior, and the young girl slashing at it with arms of blades.

"Dammit," he cursed as he gripped the edge of his bed. None of this was making any sense to him. How was he getting hurt in real life when it was all inside a computer, all inside his head.

Standing up and walking towards the wardrobe, Akio pulled out a loose fitting jacket and threw it over his shoulders. He had to make his way to a medical centre and he didn't want to draw attention to himself. The car was out of the option since driving would simply be too painful so he would more than likely have to walk. Closing the wardrobe he noticed a faint light coming from his hallway. Slowly he walked out of his bedroom and turned to where the end wall of the hallway should have been. Instead of a clean wall with fresh paint, there was a charred hole leading to the outside world.

Stepping over towards the obscure feature he kneeled down and ran his fingers over the edges wondering what had caused this.

> No Target Found...

"No..." he whispered as he remembered those words appearing on his HUD when he first entered The Hack. This surely wasn't caused by him, was it? Is so then that would mean that their actions within The Hack would affect everything in the outside world, including... the fallen building!

Akio made a dash for the front door, grabbing his car keys on the way. Pain or no pain, he had to make it to where the others were fighting just to check the damage, to see if it was at all real.

We could call them the Western and Eastern Front? or perhaps "Argent" and "Leonias" force. Just throwing out some ideas. Most of the time with task-force teams they give them a slight distinction so that there is a record of events.

I just don't wanna have it referred to as "Jin's team" since she's not really a leader sort of character.

Do we just wanna go a head with the majority and let whoever still needs to select a side to decide in their next post? We have 4 and 5 at the moment so there's enough of a crew to at least keep the IC going for a bit.

Character/Story Motivation (especially for Villains)

Thanks so much for the feedback guys. Certainly a lot more information than what I thought would be available.

I found the Blue/Orange Morality point that a few of you mentioned interesting as it's something I haven't heard of or thought of until now. Having something as "Evil" because of it's construct and requirements is definitely a trait I'll be keeping an eye out for. I was looking around online and found a some good examples:

- Stargate: The Goa'uld are certainly this, as being taken as a host is repeatedly used as Nightmare Fuel, but for the Goa'uld it is an essential and natural part of their biology. After all, would you want to spend your entire life swimming back and forth in a pond lacking opposable thumbs and sex organs?

- Death Note: The Shinigami. Their entire existence revolves around killing human beings, and they need to do it to survive. Their greatest sin is to kill someone to preserve the life of another, which is apparently too close to playing God. Ryuk dropping the Death Note onto Earth out of boredom seems pretty cruel, since it turns Light Yagami and others into callous killers, but to him, killing people with a Death Note is just a part of nature.

Both of these parties, Goa'uld and the Shinigami, are evil in the eyes of us humans/heroes, but in their own eyes they are simply doing what is natural to them. This goes back to what @Ellri was saying in how the villain may not view themselves as evil simply because of the nature of the world.

@Jig's statement on how some powerful villains rarely showed up is something that I can both agree with and admit is a cool way to create tension. By knowing as little about your enemy as possible, you don't know what they are like or how dangerous they will be during an encounter. Throwing out another example would be Vaas from Farcry 3. You as the player rarely meet him, and yet each time you do it seems to be that he has become even more crazier then the previous encounter.

I'm not opposed to splitting up, I just worry about one group out posting the other, and though the adventures of both would be separate, I think they should at least meet up at Aurios.

@c3p-0h I wouldn't mind Shu traveling in Gentry's group, we haven't even really gotten to expand on knowing each other yet. Of course they could be rivals in opposite groups too.

Currently it seems like @nuttsnbolts and myself, probably also @ananfal (since your first interaction was with Gentry, response still pending) will be traveling together.

Yeah, we'd all meet up at Aurios at perhaps a pre determined spot or something. So it won't be a long term thing. :)

Ananfal would be great if he was to come with us. ;) I have an idea for her race and mine with the recent wars and conflict.
