I find tagging helps with drawing attention to parts that may be important to that person. I was in an RP several months ago where tagging was used by every person and it made it so easy to tell what was going on. People could use the pronoun game and talk about features of someone without actively mentioning them, but the player that was tagged knew that it was them, and not a possible NPC or other player.

It wouldn't be too bad if they actually put spaces after the commas... Right now the overflowing part is all one "word".

Haha! I totally agree.

However when it comes to Common Sense... Well that's a different story...

Saw this today in the Interest Check side bar on the main page.

Admittedly the chances of it happing are rare, but it was still an odd occurrence
I just get the crappy packet ramen. Throw the noodles, seasoning and spice into a pot with 550ml of water. Boil and cook for 4 min, drop an egg in at the 4min mark and cook for another 30 sec.

Is it real ramen? Prob not... but that's the extent of my cooking skills.

This, I have never ran into a RP that was TOO big.

Beware, rant ahead and I promise it won't make sense.

Whew.... Sorry for that, *cough* I needed that.

So many good points here!!!!!! xD

Guiding an RP is something I know I have trouble with, but I've seen two extremes. There the ones that are so linear that players feel their character cannot go through that door first because they'll spoil the surprise the GM has set up (Thus creating a terrible overall flow), and ones that the GM says, "Here's your sandpit, now play!!!" and players have no idea what to do because they simply lack inspiration, or they expected to be hand held by the GM. Positives and negatives for both styles, but ultimately with the wrong group it just ends up falling apart... and I've been on the GM end of that thinking, "What did I do wrong?" :\

That next part, I call them followers. People who don't know how to take the reigns and want to be a witnessing character. Had a few friends that had 1x1s with Followers and they hated it because they weren't being challenged by the other player.

Big thing on that which I saw recently was a player that wanted to enter an RP as a villain character when it was strictly stated that it is a story about the hero's struggles and how they themselves are becoming anti heros. So this player went a head, made up his own CS layout, enter it into the RP, then had the Audacity to say "We'll see if the GM accepts it" when I pointed out so many processes that he neglected from the start. Why!??!?!?!

Oh, and I had an advanced RP where someone replied with a 1 liner...

The problem was the weather kept on changing so rapidly from super hot to super cold... with pollen in the air. So my sinuses just went, "Too much!!!! BLARGH!!!!" and yeah....

=____=

Btw, you'll probably be the same, but I'll be a bit busy over the Chrisy break. My work weekend is Friday and Saturday, and with Christmas on those days this year I've only got 2 days off before I'm back at work. :P
Fraya! What are you doing?!?!

Alyon stopped in her movements, keeping close to one of the pillars with her arms grabbing hold of it and the rope so that an onlooker would possibly see from the back that the boat was just tied to the wooden structure. She wasn't too far away and could faintly hear the conversation between the personal and the girl.

"Hey hey, maybe she was sent over by the boss? Ya know for our hard work?"

Alyon couldn't believe what she was hearing. Here was a girl that had very little concept of the modern world, and somehow... just somehow she managed to pick up two invitations to the higher bosses of an organisation in one day. All with very little effort.

The feelings of disbelief simply fell over her body and Alyon thumped her forehead against the wooden pillar. Just once she wanted to have a normal day. A day of exploration, finding a treasure, having a relaxing meal at night, and no conflicts! She wanted to so badly just yell in frustration but she knew that it would possibly alert the men that Fraya was talking to, so instead she thumped her forehead against the pillar a second time.
Don't read much but I do have a few... and by few it's very little.
