Our guests have gone home and the kitchen was easy to clean. The house is spotless and the baby is sleeping. Life is good.

AI is awful and I hate it but forums have been slowing down a lot longer than that. I think it's because the forum generation has just grown up and gotten new priorities (jobs, families, etc).

I had figured most of the backstage stuff would be handled by my character or something. I don't want to hog all the action of course, I'm sure Michio would have his hands full micromanaging and negotiating with venues and record labels and such. Maybe an assistant of sorts? Did you have a character in mind, @BlackCat?
So I've been brainstorming pretty much non-stop since we started this thing and I had an expansion on the whole 'secret band' thing, if we were to go that direction. What if, when the band builds up a fan base, their website broadcasts the locations of concerts in code? Something like a melody that doesn't work, or a track with coordinates spoken between other sounds, and altered to sound like incomprehensible techno music? Or maybe some of their songs do something similar? Maybe I'm going way off the rails but I figured I might as well mention some ideas. Any thoughts?
Sounds like a real hoot.
Luck!
If anyone cares I updated my post with a link to what a practice violin looks like. It's an electric violin, which you can plug headphones into so practicing doesn't bother anyone hurray. XD

Also the hype train is a-rolling over here

This is a good idea, maybe after the dinner thing?

Ooh, intriguing. I'll have Michio take notes.
Man I wish I could delete posts. Anyway not to flood or anything, but I was thinking, what if the band performed under alias? I'm imagining this big reveal, especially with fans rooming with band members. Also, I don't know if the school simply discourages a rock band or outright opposes it, but if it's the latter then aliases would come in handy. I'm also imagining the band sneaking around after hours or something to find a recording room where no one will hear them practicing. Anybody want to expand/oppose?

@Rika What do you think?
Double post activate! Just here to warn you that my writing always gets better AFTER the first post XD
Micho's parents had him to the academy early that morning, sent him off with stiff farewells and commands to perform well and focus. He'd lugged his baggage up to his dorm with minimal cursing and soon enough had gotten to work turning his half of the room into his new home. His impact wasn't all that noticeable really; a plain set of navy sheets, his practice violin and a wire stand resting in the corner, his real violin tucked safely under his bed a backpack and set of books resting at the end of it. The main focus, however, was the monster of a computer seemingly merged with his desk. A dual-monitor setup clamped to the desk with the tower tucked away underneath, mechanical keyboard with letters glowing blue, a small electric keyboard and a set of large headphones hanging over the back of the chair. Despite the complex setup, however, everything was acutely organized, not a sock sticking out of the drawers, not a paper out of place.

Michio now stood in the middle of the room, surveying his unpacking job to see if he missed anything. His eyes roved over the digital clock on his night stand, and noticing the time he pulled his phone out to fire off a quick text to Tatsuya. Hopefully she hadn't overslept, or gotten carried away packing.

Up and at 'em, don't want to be late. Text me when you get here, yeah?

Text sent, Michio scanned the room again, just now noticing how quiet it was. Muffled conversations floated through the walls, boys laughing and arguing over space, things that could be expected. But there were no clicks of registers, no constant classical tracks buzzing in the air, no bells from opened doors, no customers seeking guidance. Taking a deep breath, Michio closed his eyes, relishing the relative normalcy of it all for as long as fate would let him.

"Ah, you must be Ueno Michio. A pleasure to meet you. I'm Tsukino Yorushi."

As it turned out fate could be a real bitch sometimes, Michio remarked as his new roommate strode in. Nonetheless, he smiled and bowed curtly, a slightly out-of-place formality, but a greeting all the same.

"Call me Michio, and the pleasure is all mine." He said, straightening to his incredible height once again. "Tsukino Yorushi? The name sounds familiar. Do I know you from somewhere?" On the same vein of thinking, he quickly fired another text off to Tatsuya.

Hey, I think I'm rooming with your friend. You've mentioned Tsukino Yorushi haven't you? Or am I losing my mind again?
@Rika No problem. But Tatsuya, never met a piano prodigy? Tsk tsk, Michio would be disappointed. XD I'm just kidding. After all, can't be much of a prodigy when your heart isn't in it.
