Aka, Pro would like updates for the MM to occur sooner than later at this stage.
I believe that means we also need to see movement from @TheRedWatcher and (maybe?) @AngelofOctober with them either retreating with Swarm or what have you.
Little uncomfortable doing this (I'm never comfortable promoting my own non-RP things) but!
Before Taylor and the Undersiders lays the story of Lillian Grant, a young girl trying to tackle her demons and find herself in a world of super powers.
I've recently started a serious project, a Fanfiction of Worm by Wildbow. Calling it Roar and it can be found Here.
Reviews are always welcome, as I'm always looking to improve my writing. Attempting to update bi-weekly, and chapter length is getting longer as I build steam. (Don't worry, I don't plan on making ridiculous long chapters)
Vaciti walked through the entry doors, her head held high, and paused to take in her surroundings momentarily. Blue, white, and gold colors stood out against black line, borders, and accessories. Exactly what she expected from a HQ building. Her Exeo was here, having summoned Vaciti to this world and her side.
A smile lifted her lips at the thought.
Taking her time, Vaciti stepped towards the counter, running a gloved hand along the smooth surface.
"I'm here to see her excellence. Vaciti vex Contierre," she stated confidently to the receptionist, a young human female. Pointed towards the elevator, she entered.
Up and up and up she went. As the door opened, Vaciti smoothed her jacket and adjusted her hat.
Entering the room, she courtesied and announced herself clearly. "I am ready to serve, my Exeo."
Jason had just barely cleared the building when he was forced back into it. Some woman was talking crazy, probably a Community leader of some sort given the craziness of the entire situation. A kid was making copies that weren't copies, and some seemed like they had powers themselves that wasn't making copies? Hell, even some were girls.
A quick look around and Jason noticed Sofia and Chatterbox nearby. His brow furrowed under his mask at that. How had they been pulled back? While the chaos was kicking up, Jason jogged closer and went to lay a hand on Sofia's shoulder before remembering. Yeah, ignoring. Duh.
"You two stay safe. Maybe collect Heartless and Heads and try and skedaddle? I can worry about keeping everything off ya until you escape, then I'll grab the last exit strategy." he said hesitantly after Chatterbox had finished speaking and the tryhard kid had been talking.
Turning back, Jason saw that freaky projection thing crashing through stuff like everything was a hologram. That thing still confused him, he had to admit, and he did not want to deal with it. He watched as it seemed to absorb the floor and a fair number of clones before expelling the concrete out like a bouncing betty might.
Yeah, he didn't want to tango with that dancer.
Then that tryhard threw something, and Jason nearly laughed before a fucking car smashed through the crowd.
Maybe these kids weren't entirely pathetic... They obviously had permission to go lethal, they hadn't displayed such force moments ago, and Jason wasn't about to disagree. Nor was he about to be outclassed by some kids.
Placing his hands on a train engine, Jason channelled his power before straight lifting the thing onto his shoulder. Walking forward, he swung it into the edge of the crowd, sending bodies flying away from his teammates. Blood soaked the floor in front of him, and dripped from the engine. A few more swings, and then he lifted the engine above his head, pulling back, and whoosh! the engine went flying, perpendicular to the path the car had just taken.
"Now that's how you throw something!" he hollered with a laugh.
Lillian climbed to her feet, her tail knocking boxes around. A crescendo of emotions were crashing through her, ones she was all too familiar with. That man..... He cut straight through her already shallow defenses. The woman on the speaker wasn't much better, Lillian decided.
Worthless, ugly, stupid, pathetic, brat. She let her transformation go, her body shaking from the cold of the evening in a place that felt like death. She fell to her knees as the cut she'd gotten proved to be more than her regular form could put weight on.
Why couldn't she have just died that night? Why did she have to get powers instead? It didn't help. She was just as useless and pathetic and small and insignificant and ugly and -
She just wanted to stop being a burden. She wanted released from this prison around her. She didn't have it in her anymore after being torn apart again.
Atticus nodded at the brief reasoning for including the newbie. It wasn't his place to judge, anyways, and an Investigator would be a fool not to accept extra help.
"Fair enough," he said quietly. With a quick pace he began leading them along the border, down alleys and side streets. Ten minutes wasn't long, but for them... It was an eternity and no time at all both together and at once.
Occasionally the shadow of Decker moving along his own route above (and besides and behind and ahead) would appear for a brief moment. A signal that he was there, likely.
Was... That screaming?
Suddenly a loud whoosh could be heard, followed by a feral sounding scream that grated on the nerves and eardrums.
"We've got a Chimera!" Decker hissed through the comm. "I got his leg, he's a block to your North."
Allison watched the Nazi leave the bar with interest. Tentacle loli was... Kinda hot, she had to admit.
With a shake of her head, Allison looked towards Chroma asking her words.... Questions! My, was she glad she wasn't speaking aloud as she lost herself to the sway of hips of the Nazi....
She glanced back at Chroma, nodding mostly to herself.. "Yeah, that sounds interesting enough, honestly. Maybe we can discuss future situations and plans. Or just get to know each other, yeah?" She said quietly, taking hold of Vincent's hand and tugging gently towards to exit. "I don't have a vehicle, but I can follow easily enough. Or ride with you. Whatever."

Name Vaciti vex Contiere Nicknames V, Vash Gender Female Sexuality Bisexual Alias N/A Age 264 Apparent Age 32 Race Prae Specialty Mirage / Warrior / Healer / Exeo-to-be
Appearance: 6'2", 145lbs, Crystal center of forehead, vibrant blue markings visible from front view along her neck and arms.
Personality: If you had to sum Vaciti up in one word, knowing who she really was, you'd choose "fickle" without a doubt.
Vaciti seems to wear her emotions under a thin sleeve, but everything she does she does for a reason, to reach an end goal. Her reactions are designed around her audience.
What she really feels is truly hidden except to those she feels are close enough to deserve to see her real self.
History: Looking back, Vaciti could remember one large, important event during her early adventure into this unique circumstances she had found herself in.
"Blah blah blah. Sign here and here. Blah blah blah, we'll arrange for your ascension at this time. Blah blah blah congratulations. Etc etc."
All in all, it really was quite.... Political. Boring. Lacking enthusiasm.
Not at all what she had expected, really. Growing up the Exeos and God-Queen were... Amazing. Marvelous. She hardly expected the process to be so bland.
Hell, she didn't even expect someone like her to really get picked for something so important. A commoner. Sure she'd pushed herself. Higher. Further. She pushed at the sky until it broke before her.
But she hadn't really expected to be noticed by Aismael herself. To be brought into this bright future.
To have the chance to be the hero for her people she wanted to be. Needed to be. Desired to be.
Training. Prepping. Pruning. Her strides were great, but the road was even longer. Not like that mattered to Vaciti, however. Not when her destiny lay at the end.
Belongings/Equipment:
The Heaven Breaker A Hand-and-a-half sword, engraved with a prayer to the God-Queen and similar markings as to her own. It is enchanted for durability and sharpness.
Black Death and White Symphony Her gloves. Her left is enchanted with Elemental magic meant to cause harm, while the right is enchanted with Elemental healing magic. These are meant to increase the ease and speed of casting such magic.
Far Reach Boots enchanted to increase hey movement speed on foot.
Capabilities
Mental Vaciti has trained her focus to a razor edge, able to focus on a task indefinitely without loss of focus when desired.
However, this is a narrow focus. Things outside of the chosen task are often missed.
Beyond that, Vaciti has a personal goal of obtaining as much knowledge as she can, giving her a beginner's understanding of a wide variety of topics.
Physical Vaciti has trained her body in the art of war, honing her reflexes and stamina to their peak.
Magical/Technological Adept in manipulating air, but mostly in a healing and defensive measure at this stage. Creative application of her relatively minor abilities can lead to offensive uses, such as proper timing to trip someone up.
@AngelofOctober@Gardevoiran A slight clicking sound, of metal against stone, could be heard nearby, soon followed by the sound of footsteps. From the shadows of a nearby building a young man appeared from around the corner. In his hand lit up a phone as the odd noise started up again.
"Seto sent me this a few minutes ago. More evidence to help us. We got a hit on the serial killings," Atticus said softly, tossing the severely damaged phone towards Grant. "I thought she was supposed to be sent back to HQ?"
He considered for a few moments before shaking his head. "it doesn't matter. There was another murder an hour ago. We found that phone there, beside a dead Ghoul. She had some healing injuries, looks like the killer got her weak. This breaks the pattern, though. Seto called for investigative backup," Atticus continued, passing two earpieces to the other Investigators. "Decker is staying back as heavy fire support, he'll communicate through those. Lucky we had a spare."
As if on cue, Decker spoke up once the others had their pieces in.
"We've got solid Intel that we can cut the bastard off before the reach anyone else tonight." @BCTheEntity A message appeared on the young man's phone, from the automated CGC systems.
Your senior partner will arrive shortly. Please remain on site for further orders.
Hai! GM call out here. It's been 21 days since the last update, by myself, in that entire situation. The MM are a main team, which does make this a "main encounter", and we've given it a little extra given the fact Pro and I were switching back off on who got to update them.
If y'all could begin progression again, it would be appreciated. Kthnxbai <3
@Sickle-cell Then we'll just say that Gamble hesitated a bit before pulling some completely ridiculous bullshit attack out of his ass in an attempt at taking Talion out.
