He could feel it again...he might not be able to see it but he could feel the ominous presence that it radiated every-time it got near. How long had it been since he'd first seen it? Two weeks, three? Felix had begun to lose count, the only thing he knew for certain was that it was appearing more and more, lately he was even afraid to sleep, he was scared that if he opened his eyes than it would be waiting for him. He hadn't told anyone about it yet, who in the world would believe him? If someone came to you saying that they were being haunted by a ghost wouldn't you think they had a few loose screws?

A sigh slipped past Felix's lips as he leaned back in his seat, he was currently spending his time in the cafeteria. He felt more comfortable there than his dorm room, at least in the cafeteria there were people. But he wasn't a very sociable person so he felt a little lonely, all the friends laughing and joking around made him envious. People always thought he was a thug or something because of his piercings and tattoos, was those things that were supposed to define what a person was like? He didn't know but it sucked, even in a place like this people were all the same.

"Hey have you seen Liz? I don't think she ever came back to the dorm last night?"

Felix couldn't help but overhear the conversation going on nearby, it looked like two girls. "No, we were at the library until 7, she said she was going to head right to bed because she had a headache." The other girl had a worried look on her face, if they were talking who he thought they were than it was Elizabeth Thatcher, she was pretty well known around the campus due to being one of the top students, though she kinda had a bad attitude. "That's weird...I think I'm going to tell a teacher or something, it's not like her to just...disappear. Plus kept talking about how she felt like she was being watched, though she could never find who it was."

That last tidbit caught Felix's interest. Liz thought she was being followed? It made him think about his own paranoia...though was it simply him being paranoid or was someone, something, watching them all? A shiver ran up the boys spine, there was something happening around here and he didn't know if he wanted to know what it was. Rumors had been flying around all over campus about people seeing shadows, hearing voices, lights flickering, mundane stuff. He didn't want to believe it, or rather couldn't, that anything other than paranoia was being passed around. After all this school was placed next to a pretty old town with a pretty creepy forest.

As the dark-haired boy sat there thinking that feeling of intense fear settled over him, the hairs on his arm rising. Out of the corner of his eyes he thought he could see a dark shape peering from around a corner, staring at him. He turned his head quickly too look but just like last time nothing was there. "I'm totally going insane...I have to be." He thought, picking at the salmon-colored sweater he was wearing.

<sub>One might think that being raised within the forest, surrounded by nothing but dirt and trees would be abysmal, though for Syllia it was the best thing ever. There were little to now rules, she had an entire forest to explore to her hearts content. There was never a boring day when it came to the life she led, like many in her clan she was taught to use a bow - hunting was a very important part of their survival. She learned how to make and set traps, how to identify and make poisons, how to track animals much larger than herself. It was always an adventure and she loved it, much more than her younger sisters. She had happy life, that is until the death of both parents.

When Syllia was 18 her mother and father were sent out to hunt a creature that had begun to terrorize those who were travelling to Lyros. They never came back from the hunting trip, their bodies never being found, presumably dragged off by the same creature they'd been hunting. This hit Syllia very hard, she was suddenly entrusted with three younger girls who were scared and unsure of what to do. She tried her best and it did take a few years before things began to get back to normal. She worked even harder to hone her hunting skills, she had to make sure she could provide for her family. She would often hunt difficult targets, selling the skin, meat and bones at the trading market in Lyros. It didn't take long for rumors to take hold, a beautiful blonde-haired Hielf who was the best hunter with the last 10 years.

Rumors began circulating of a girl who was the goddess reincarnated though Syllia paid no mind, it was none of her business. At least...that was what she thought. A group of people appeared within Syllia's small grove, they wanted her to kill the goddess before she could destroy their lives. They claimed with her skills she would have no problem with getting the job done. She wanted nothing to do with them so she refused and returned home to her sisters. Syllia thought that would be the end to the strangers but she was wrong, in the middle of the night a group of men stormed into her home and captured her sisters.

Because she had refused their offer the group of people, who she learned were nobles, wanted to teach Syllia a lesson. When they had asked her to help they were really telling her to do it or else, and she had chosen or else without knowing. As punishment they slaughtered her youngest sister and informed Syllia that if she did not do as she was told then the other two sisters would suffer the same fate. But how exactly could she kill an innocent girl who had done no wrong, even if it was to save the life of the people she love most in the world.</sub>

<sub>Before her parents death Syllia was a girl who didn't have a care in the world, why would she? Syllia didn't need to worry, she acted as any normal Hielf child would - Happy and content. She ran around barefoot, climbing through trees and learning about all the different animals and creatures that lurked in the forest. She was always so eager to learn, many of the elders would end up getting annoyed because Syllia wouldn't stop asking them questions. She was excited about life and everything around her and she couldn't wait to be an important part of clan life.

After her parents death Syllia changed quite a bit, at 18 years old she was entrusted with the lives of 3 younger girls who were just as scared as she was. Syllia had to force herself to become a responsible adult, instead of playing and relaxing all day she had to be the one to provide for her sisters. She became reserved and determined, spending many hours practicing her hunting skills. Her loyalty to her sisters was unmatched and pushed her to succeed in everything she did. Over time she became a confident and elegant Hielf, while she did show compassion she often didn't hold back her thoughts, letting others know her opinions on everything.</sub>

The Grove

The Hielf, a race of Elves that have been untainted by human blood. They have lived within the forest surrounding Lyros for generations, using the the nature around them to survive. Even though the world around them may be evolving they never seem to follow, many consider the Hielf to be of the purest blood when it comes to Elves.

The Hielf are very religious, praying to a god who they say is the father of life. While they don't care about the goddess they don't love her either, some of the Hielf feel like she is an impostor, offending their great god. Though violence towards another person is forbidden among the Hielf so no action is ever taken, this doesn't stop them from talking badly however. If you were to meet an older Hielf you could bet that they would instantly being to bash the poor goddess.

I'm not opposed to characters relation sheets, it actually sounds like a good idea!

I would assume that many of the students might know each other, either in passing or sharing classes.
