Avary glared at Sans but went back to Shadow without a word. He gave Kaoru a silent thanks then turned back to Juno. "That would be best. The skeleton doesn't seem like the type to stop annoying people easily."
Shadow nervously petted Kaoru. She wasn't afraid of her, as she was a fox right now and animals had never cause her any fear before. She looked over at Sans with fear.

Shadow was sitting away from the group, watching Juno berate Sans. She nodded when he said she wasn't having fun with Sans' joke.
Avary stood next to Juno, staring at Sans. "Yeah skeleton. No one is finding your jokes humerus." He said with a spiteful pun.

Avary held eye contact. He was also keeping his sword ready incase a fight broke out. He looked over at Shadow to make sure she was all right.

Shadow pet Juno, shaking in fright. "Th-thank you." She told Juno. She was shaking in fright from Sans' scare. She looked in fright at the skeleton.

Shadow let out a loud high-pitched screamed and fell back away from Juno as Sans scared her. Her eyes had grown wide, and her breath quickened almost to the levels of hyperventilation.
Avary drew his sword and pointed it at Sans. "What the hell are you doing?" He growled at him, a tone that was the exact opposite of the one he had been using with Shadow. "Couldn't you see how scared she was? Why would you go and scare her like that?"

Avary nodded to Lucien. He gave Elizabeth and Amalia one last look and ran to the kitchen. He began scrambling through the cupboards until he found the jar that Lucien had instructed him to find. He grabbed it and ran back as fast as his legs could carry him.

Avary urged Shadow on. "Come on Shadow, you'll never get used to people if you don't get to know them. He wants to make you feel less scared." He said gently.
She was nervous, but she sat dwon and pet Juno. "N-nice kitty." She said quietly, she looked about ready to wet herself out of fright.

Avary nudged Shadow. "It's fine Shadow, he's not going to hurt you. He was just trying to say hi to you." Avary said trying to comfort her.
She nodded a little then went over to Juno, looking at the floor. "S-sorry for screaming. I was just a little scared." She said in a quiet voice.

Avary nodded. "Oh. A neko. Yeah, sorry about Shadow, she's a little nervous around anyone she doesn't know." He said then turned to Shadow. "It's OK Shadow, he's just a neko." He said with a softness you wouldn't expect from a demon spawn.
She looked at Juno and turned back and hid her face in Avary's shirt. She didn't want to talk to Juno, not until she was sure he was nice.
