I have approved Chukklehed's character by the way. There is something he does not wish to reveal just yet so it won't be posted in the character tab yet. As for everyone else, please move your character sheets to the tab once accepted. :)
Lucy

Lucy probably wasted a good five seconds staring in surprise as a little robot grabbed ahold of Jace's ankle. It registered that this was the woman's attack. She wasn't sure if it was going to knock him out or kill him but she was starting to think she should probably get the hell out of here. This guy was probably going to catch on now that she had just been stalling and not trying to help him.

"Lucy, run!"

Lucy glanced down at her phone and quickly grabbed it as she sprinted over to the car, yanking the car door open faster than she had ever done before. She climbed in and slammed her foot on the pedal, speeding forward. Her wheels squeaked noisily as she made a sloppy turn and then sped down the road.

Cameron

The sight of his home surrounded by a cop cars, a firetruck and ambulance was not the most welcoming one Cameron could have asked for. There was an acrid aroma drifting through the air, causing Cameron to feel an uncomfortable choking sensation in his throat. Dark clouds of smoke were billowing over the mansion. How on earth had the house ended up on fire?

He finally moved forward in a fit of anger and confusion, gently grabbing one police officer's shoulder and turning him, "What the hell happened here?"

"This is your home, sir? There was a huge fire. According to the neighbors, it took over almost the entire house. We haven't seen a fire grow as much as it did then suddenly extinguish."The officer explained to him," No idea if it was some kitchen accident or somethin' but the extent of damage isn't reversible. Surely a man who can afford this house can-"

Cameron started tuning the man out at some point as his sister's name crossed his mind. Willow. He thought with a sudden heart jolt. "Where's my sister?"He demanded suddenly. He could hear heart pounding in his ears as he clenched his fists. There had been so much loss this year; Cameron couldn't bear to lose the only family he had left. Besides that point, she was his best friend. He turned toward the ambulance before the man could even answer and bolted toward it as its red and blue lights flashed rhythmically over the scene.

He caught sight of brown hair spilling off the side of a stretcher as she was carefully loaded into the ambulance and stubbornly climbed into the ambulance as well, going over to take her hand.

"She's going to be alright." A medic quickly assured him. "We're going to have to take her to a hospital that's a bit farther off though. The closest one had some sort of terrorist attack or something earlier. "

Cameron looked up with her, shaking slightly and gave her quite the smile. "Oh she better be." There was no else in the ambulance with them at the moment and Cameron was feeling more emotion than he had in a long time. He had usually shut out all emotions. "If she's not, we're going to have a problem." If his sister so had a paper cut after this, perhaps he'd grab them and teleport them into the ocean even though Cameron wasn't so sure that was something he could do. He had yet to try teleporting other people but it was never too late to give it a go.
I've put up the majority of my CS, just hoping I could get a bit more info about the Town Guard and if theres any major settlements?

I've been thinking people have made the most major settlements in big cities since there's probably the most supplies there such as in New York, Philadelphia.. etc. The town guard is a group created by someone who has yet to create their CS and I'm sure they'd be happy to give you more info.

Your character is great so far. I will most likely accept it after you finish working on it.
Name: Jace Williams

Age: 27

Gender: Male

Nomadic or sedentary: Nomadic

Weapons: A Blade he keeps on a hilt on his back, and a sharp six inch knife.

Skills: Jace is extremely proficient at hand to hand combat. He's been fighting all his life and has formal training due to his service in the U.S Military. He's also handy with bladed weaponry and firearms although he hasn't been able to get his hands on those in a while. He has a severe tolerance for pain and has taken many beatings in his life. He is very well read, and capable of reading at a fast paced while retaining some information.

Any unusual traits?: Jace is not exactly a regular person anymore. He's been granted enhanced strength and durability as a result of some strange mutation. As a side effect he suffers severe head-aches from time to time, has a vastly increased appetite for just about everything, seems to be loosing intelligence every day and for some reason gets along very well with violent animals.

Appearance:

Brief Personality: Jace is a very aggressive violent man with a love for violence. He enjoys hurting other people, and getting into altercations. He's easily angered, and is always ready to get into it with someone else. He is always focused on the present, and barely stops to dwell on the past. He's concerned for his own self preservation but to that extent he will also feel similar about whoever he is currently allied with believing in strength in numbers despite his rage. He thinks morals are for the weak, and believes eveything is for the taking whether it's food, resources, or other pleasures. He enjoys using other people as he pleases, and thrives off being a savage.

Background: He was born and raised in a military family. He had a couple brothers, and one sister, and his parents all wanted them to either work for the Military or some form of the Government. Most of his family fell in line but Jace was the problem child. He was always getting in trouble growing up and getting into fights. By the time he was in middle school he was smoking cigarettes and smoking marijuana. He ended up getting involved with selling drugs to support his habit, and experimented with some harder drugs until he was arrested and sent to juvie. After getting out he was even more ostracized by his family, and barely managed to graduate high school. His parents kicked him out, and he ended up working a fast food job but quickly got into selling drugs again to get money. Not wanting to fall into the same trap as others he knew he ended up doing as his family wanted and joining the military where he excelled. He was noted for his brutality, and ended up going into World War 3 where he committed numerous of acts of violence during the war. After the world went to shit he mostly went from place to place struggling to survive, and doing whatever it took to survive never staying one place long until he ran into the Hunters and finally felt like he fell into a group of people whom he could truly relate to and who thought very similar to him. Currently he's on his way to the New York Area to see if he can secure some more food, or some people..same thing..to him after fire there basically edible.

Alone or with someone?: Alone(Unless someone else wants to be with him

Other: Jace suffers from nightmares every night, but rarely declines to talk about them, and the reason he avoids getting close to people is he dearly misses his family which is probably one of only remnants of him that's truly human.

I'll approve this. Good job.

Grace cursed under her breath as a new news report flashed up on her monitor. Switching her character to automatic, Grace hit the button to unmute herself in the call. "Lucy, there's been an attack on an apartment building. I'm sending you the newsreel now, and directions to get there, along with a picture of the guy you're looking for, Jace Williams. Be careful, his powers make him unbelievably strong and durable."

Lucy could not believe what she had gotten herself into. What did this lady want her to do? Kill the guy? Could she even do it? She sighed and decided she'd at least check it out. "Alright I'll check it out." She had felt vengeful against the man herself but she had not planned on attacking right away. After hanging up the phone, she began viewing the newsreel and stared in astonishment. Was that Luke? She clicked his name on her phone and began viewing his texts. "Oh God..." She hoped Luke would be okay. Someone had to do something about this and she was starting to feel like if some random lady was calling her to do it, then there must have been no one else who could do this. Lucy just hoped she could do something to stop this man without getting herself killed or having to kill him.

After hanging up the phone, she began following the directions to the area. Once there, she parked her car and did a quick scope of her surroundings, craning her head. There were still cops everywhere and there was an entire SUV hanging out of Luke's apartment. It was just like the house she had just seen. "Jesus Christ."She whispered under her breath, taking a few steps back.

Jace just wanted to be left alone; he wanted to make amends. Killing all these people was something he wanted to do, but it wasn't something he had to do. Now not only did he just have a warrant but police suspected he was connected to a series of murders. "Fuck." If he wasn't careful he'd end up prison just like Devon. Right now he needed to go back to his car, and like a dumb ass he'd parked fairly close to Luke's place. He was pissed about Tamara, and when it came to people messing with his sister he didn't think straight.

"Fuck." He sighed and began heading back towards his car. He made his way over to the parking lot and saw another car parked near his and shook his head." Who the fuck would come over here..after the shit I did..." Jace thought seeing all the cops everywhere, it was funny none of them recognized him without his mask on. He was walking over to the scene to check it out when he heard some girl say something "Heh Jesus ain't have nothing to do with this, this is some Hercules shit, Samson if we're sticking with the Bible," Jace remarked off hand to Lucy before remembering he had a warrant out for his arrest and it didn't bode well to be next to all these cops especially without his mask on and he decided to turn to head towards his vehicle unaware that Lucy knew who he was.

Lucy stole a glance at the speaker through the rear view mirror. She didn't have to look at the picture a second time to recognize him. She kept a nonchalant expression on her face, knowing if he caught on to the fact she knew him it'd be bad news. "Yeah, you're right. This is so crazy I just had to see it for myself. It feels like we're living in the Twilight Zone lately huh?" She casually replied. She debated internally whether she should get out of the car or not and finally decided that she didn't want to be in the next vehicle he threw into a building. She got out of the car but didn't make a move to go closer to Jace. "Nice to meet you, I'm Lucy." She greeted him with a smile.

Jace was ready to get out of there but he wasn't gonna ignore this girl, after all she was pretty attractive. Something about her was strange. He could have sworn he'd seen her before. "What you mean about all the shit going on, people talking about super powers and shit it's fucking crazy? I didn't wanna believe this bullshit but i mean come on there's an SUV in bruh's apartment, some Superman motherfucker was responsible." Jace spoke with some pride knowing that he was the one responsible. He wanted to get out of there but the woman introduced herself, and he sighed. Women were his weakness. "Shit. Nice to meet you, I'm Jace." He wanted to slap himself mentally but then again he hadn't given her his full name and that's when he raised an eyebrow, "Hey...I think I've seen you before, you ever worked on the news?" He thought, racking his brain to see what he could remember.

"You're right. It's really hard to believe." Lucy agreed, "But you know, I don't think superman went around damaging property. Whoever did this definitely has the strength of superman but don't you think there's so many good things they could do with it instead? I think if I had a superpower, I'd want to help people like superman, not add more suffering to an already horrible world." She put her arms behind her back casually, pacing a bit away and acting like she was getting a closer view of the building. "Hey Jace. Cool name. Yeah I did work on the news a bit actually... Maybe someone was really angry they didn't buy the car they wanted and decided to just chuck it."She drew off into a joke. She was pretty good at changing the topic when need be.

Jace didn't care about her little spill about justice and what not. To him people like that didn't have hard lives in the first place they couldn't relate to the rage he felt. "Well..If you saw that movie Man of Steel Superman did fuck up half of Metropolis fighting Zod and all them other super motherfuckers, but I'm just being a smart ass it wasn't intentional." He quipped looking back on the best superman movie made. "Yeah you look like someone I dun seen before..wait! I got it..tell me I'm wrong but you that same girl ohhh hell yeah you her..They was talking about yo ass..Everything you said about the weather was on point like that it was gonna be hot as fuck, then snowing the next day..and motherfuckers claiming you hit some dude with a fucking lightning bolt." Jace rolled his eyes at the last part. He'd seen the video and he'd hoped to see a genuine super person but it looked fake.

"That's a fair point." Lucy replied. She paused, listening to him. It took a lot of effort not to let herself show fear but she managed to keep the act on. However, then she realized that he probably didn't want to make another public spectacle, especially so close to the cops and other people. "You kinda also look like the guy who did this. Funny his name was also Jace."She said calmly, letting the cat out of the bag as she made eye contact with him. "That was all me and that video was real. I can prove it to you and all but I think you might believe me when I tell you that I can control the weather. It's hard for me to even believe lately to be honest. "

Lucy quickly tried to think of what else to say to diffuse the tension. She suppressed the urge to start twirling a lock of her hair and leaned against her car instead. "You must feel kinda separate from everyone else being able to do this kind of thing and maybe that's why it feels easier to do these things."She told him lightly. "You don't seem like you were the murdering type before this all started happening so why do all this?" She asked genuinely. "What's the point?"

Jace didn't expect the conversation to take the twist and turn it did. Sure he recognized her from the news, and the incident being talked about but he doubted it was real. "Jace.."He'd had a mask on the whole time so the fact that she just called him out and knew who he was was a bit unsettling. He'd been a bit reckless however, but still. He wanted to know how maybe she knew Luke, maybe someone just figured him out he'd been drunk and high during most of the murders and he wasn't the most careful person sober. "All big and brave with all these damn cops, and your lightning bolts huh." After seeing Luke's powers, he didn't want to doubt this lady and end up picking a fight with Storm.

"I mean shit if you wanna prove it to me then make it snow right now, you sound like yo ass at least think you can do the shit so either you can or you crazy I don't give a damn. I'm more concerned with what you know bout me or at least what you think you know. I ain't tryna fucking hurt people, except a few folks the people that fucked up me and my brother's life. Yeah we was in the wrong legally...but these motherfuckers went the extra mile to give us the absolute worst punishment, and then this shit happens of course imma fuck em up!" He looked at her and rolled his eyes. "If I feel seperate from people it's not cause of whatever the fuck's been happening since that storm...it's cause of how society tossed me and my family to the curve like were trash and then we get called monsters just cause we do what we have to survive. Hell I may not have been a killer..before..but I damn sure could have seen myself eventually grabbing a gun and going to try to shoot some of these folks, sides..I'm fucking done. I'm done with this ability, I'm done with the cops, I'm done killing folks, and I'm done with any weird mother fuckers like me..I don't want to be involved in no X Men shit I just wanna chill."

"I'm really sorry to hear you've been treated like that. I can't really relate but I understand how it must feel."Lucy told him with genuine sadness. She knew he was not a person deserving of kindness after all he did but she had trouble not empathizing with people. " But when you kill those who you deem to be bad people, you just become as bad as the person you killed. "

Lucy decided to be more blunt, swallowing her fear, "Honestly, you become an even worse person than them because of all the suffering you've created. You can say you're done all you want but this isn't going to end for you...I'm not just talking about all the cops who are going to be constantly on your tail. If you haven't noticed people are getting really suspicious of all the crazy stuff happening. I'm in the same boat as you considering they think I'm some lightning freak. " She reminded him, "I can't really go rat you out so this is just me trying to stop the killing. Please?"

"Oh sure you said please, I'll just pack my killing bags, and we can go have a barbecue how about it, my place 4 o clock, I'll bust out some Hennessy too unless you're a Vodka type of girl " Jace said with sarcasm and scowled at her. "Ill toss you some brownie points cause at least you admitted you can't relate to half the shit that's happened to me so I'm not gonna bother bitching about it I didn't get stuck with time travel. However what she said had struck a chord normally he'd just try to fight her but he didn't for two reasons. The stuff he unloaded on Cori in the forest was still heavy on his mind, and she was very powerful not someone he needed to pick a fight with when there wasn't a reason too.

"I ain't going lie...That shit..Fucked me up..I was just so mad..like more mad then I ever been before, ever since I been out of jail I been drunk almost everyday drunk, mad, powered up shit don't mix. Your a hero huh, a self righteous motherfucker who knows it all. I see them every night, I relive their murders every day, every time I so much as doze off..for a few seconds..I remember what I did vividly..it's been fucking up my head,..yeah a couple of these people I wanted dead but people that had nothing to do with it....I just got caught up in the moment." I'm living in a hell of my own creation..honestly you the second person today..I been talking too about shit I just don't be saying and I'm not even drunk anymore. Like I said, everyone I wanted dead is dead..now..I just want to be left alone I suggest you do the same thing..it won't be long for the Government moves in and tries to round us all up and stick us in some underground prison to either brainwash us or kill us. I don't plan on being around when that shit happens."

"I'm not a hero. I'm just a confused chick who probably lost her job." Lucy told him earnestly. "I don't even know why I decided to come here but I guess it felt like maybe I was given this power for a reason. There's so many people in the world and we're the ones who got it. Maybe think about that a bit before you decide to give up."

He looked pretty done with everything as he said. She was pretty sure he didn't actually want to kill anyone else but it was unforgivable at this point. It had actually made her happy to hear that what he did haunted him. Lucy wasn't sure how long she should keep at this. She had already texted the number the moment she had arrived that she had him still in a spot for a bit of time now. She wasn't sure she could even trust the random person on the phone. Who knew what their real motives really were.

"The government can try but I think even they must know deep down who the stronger ones are. The world is open to us now and you don't have to be a fucking killer anymore so maybe wake up and take advantage of what you have in a better way before you die with a life full of regret. I know your family would want you to have a much better life than this."

There was no point in trying to get the cops on him because he'd kill them and he could surely break out a jail cell. He was going to need some crazy steel cell or some sort and that wasn't something she could find on short notice. Someone was watching her and trying to use her to dispatch of this man. She had kept him in the same spot for more than enough time.

She had been stalling after-all.

Your move, lady. I've kept him here this long for you. She thought.

"Ohhh.kay..Why the fuck are you worried about a job, you can control the weather. Fuck a job, I didn't want a regular 9-5 before this shit and now I def' don't want one or need one we have fucking super powers." Jace didn't really care for her speech about the powers and being the chosen ones. There was no telling how many people had powers, and what caused them.

"Yeah well....we may think were stronger but..just cause have some special shit popping dosen't mean were untouchable..I thought the same thing." Jace then decided not to delibrate getting poisioned was an educating experience to learn he wasn't as invincible as he thought. "I just told you I'm done killing the shit is mute, maybe it would be better if I could change that shit, re-make my choices, but plenty of killers in jail think the same thing. Only difference between me and them is I can't be put in a cell, shot by a bullet, or put in cuffs. Sooner or later, they're gonna figure out a way to bring us down, and rather then start a war, I'm gonna do what I do best and stay the fuck out their way even if I haven't done a good job so far." Jace didn't see where this conversation was leading him, he'd gotten his revenge well except for the judge but the more he thought about it the less he mattered of all the people who where jjust doing their job he was the one who didn't personally do anything to him or his brother except hand out the sentence. "If that's all you've got to say Storm, then I'm about to bounce, I need to get the fuck out of Georgia, maybe the country."

"You're probably right." Lucy said simply, "It was nice meeting you, Jace." She didn't leave her spot, prepared for something more than just leaving.
Would anyone be completely opposed to me joining? I would love to be apart of a post apocalyptic band of mismatching survivors!

Not at all! Please join. :)

Cameron

Laughter echoed the street as the young man in front of the store window broke out into laughter. There were a few televisions positioned in the window, broadcasting the news. He was dressed in expensive clothing and had a just as pricey pair of sunglasses hanging off the edge of his shirt. Cameron didn't bother covering his mouth as people stared at him with confusion written all over their faces. Some seemed a little fearful that he was insane and were hurrying their kids down the sidewalk. He turned with a haughty grin, finally composing himself.

The sun was shining and the skies had been perfectly clear as it always had been for the past few weeks. All since the new weather girl gave the wrong weather report and ended up being exactly right. It was if since then everything just was on a downward spiral from there, getting stranger and stranger. Cameron had watched the random storming outside with interest. The clear skies had taken a sudden charcoal color, darkening the world around them and leaving them all in its wrath. It had become even more interesting when the temperature reached the 80's and suddenly it snowed the next day. It was well known that global warming was a very possible thing but this was just nonsense.

Cameron had known exactly what was happening. The very same day things had started going crazy with the weather, he had found himself waking up asleep on the table in the library. Anyone who knew Cameron knew that was the last place he'd ever go to. At first, Cameron assumed he had just gotten too drunk again and couldn't remember the stupid shit he did this time. It wasn't until later when he was thinking about grabbing some pizza for dinner at Joe's Pizzeria and his body was violently thrown into the nearby pizza restaurant. He had stumbled across the floor into the counter, making the chef wildly turn around with a gasp. Cameron had stood there, panting, completely thrown for a loop as noisy italian music loudly assaulted his ears. He took a moment to gather his thoughts, his pupils dilated, before he finally gave the man a charming smile and bought a pizza.

On the way out, Cameron had considered being too drunk again but then when he started considering the possibility of popping in the back room and taking a ton of pizza boxes, it actually happened. However, it wasn't as smooth as he had imagined in it his head. He found himself stumbling into the tower of pizza boxes, the sudden heat of the kitchen overwhelming him. Cameron wasn't sure what had come over him but he was pretty sure at this point he had started thinking it was a dream. He ended up grabbing the entire tower of boxes and being thrown into his own kitchen. He dizzily staggered around until he could finally set the boxes on the kitchen table. "What the fuck..."He muttered, rubbing his head. It was so strange how the entire process would happen. All he had to do was imagine or will it and suddenly it felt like the Hulk had picked him up and viciously threw him into the place he was thinking of without any sudden noise. However, the delicious aroma of marinara sauce and cheesy goodness made him forget about it for a moment and he feasted on his pizza.

It didn't take long for Cameron to figure out it was no dream and to figure out how to take advantage of this new ability he had been gifted with. Safe to say, he had not paid for food or alcohol in the last two weeks at all. He had even managed to steal his sister a gift. Cameron was feeling pretty good about himself to say the least. He felt like he was the only person in the world who could do something this cool. Then the weather started getting all crazy and the video of some chick shooting someone with lightning came out. It was obvious there were weird things happening with multiple people.

Now Cameron knew for sure this was growing as he watched the news covering this clearly mutated man named Jace. He couldn't help but chuckle to himself again. He couldn't believe this. Things were finally going to get very interesting. For now, Cameron would take the role of the spectator but the screws in his brain were turning ever so rapidly.
