I could but there isn't much I can write up. Faire gets knocked out halfway through.
Millicent Cheviot Nouvelle, Luguere She...she was laughing. What could have possibly been so hysterical to have sent this girl into tears? Milly's introduction?! Who could possibly have the audacity to do such a thing, especially considering Milly's own unprecedented generosity to allow an audience in the first place. Her face warmed into redness as she felt positively insulated and embarrassed by the girl's opening laugh. Oh how she just wanted to smack the girl across the cheek as the mysterious woman pondered aloud why Mel would know her...Oh. The woman finally gave her introduction and now Milly could feel that warmth of redness flushing her cheeks again. Sophia's introduction was a well-rehearsed one with no stuttering or errors in it, but what really sold it was the fact that Articuno, marked with House's sigil, really drove the point home. Milly's first hint should have been Mel, who probably psychically could read just who she was in the first place, but hindsight did her no good here. Milly, despite not really liking the symbolic act, she returned Sophia's curtsy with a goofy but sincere smile. Thankfully it doesn't appear that Sophia had taken offense to anything Milly had done previously, and it even seemed she wasn't so uptight about this nobility etiquette either. Thank Arceus for that and thank Him for Sophia's desire to calling Milly by her own nickname than her birth name. Although Milly still felt flustered over this whole identity thing and felt her own cheeks blushing, the same as Sophia. "Oh!...um.. Yea, I'd really like that Sophia." Her tone was more inviting and friendly than before. It all started coming back to Milly a bit. There were a few times in her childhood that Milly and her family traveled to Skyhold to interact and bond. Sophia was always a dainty little thing, and it seems like that hasn't changed as the years had gone by. Sophia's legs wobbled with exhaustion or possibly a side effect of the chilling wind that Milly paid no attention to. "Hey, you okay, Sophia?" Milly inquired as she gingerly offered her forearm and gestured her head pointing down the road to the gated pass into Cheviot Hill. "I would be more than happy to escort you to see my parents and assist you to relay whatever message you have for them. I'm sure they will love to host you as a guest as well, but I fear your responsibility will send you to the other holdings, no doubt." With that thought, Milly started to imagine what it would be like to travel again. It had been just under a year since her return from her tour of dueling. It would be nice to get out there again and maybe Sophia needed company. An alluring prospect but Milly didn't get her hopes up. Meanwhile, Mel studied the great bird of Skyhold with some interest. It wasn't too often other legendary creatures come to Nouvelle, but it appears Neva had a lack of interest for Mel, much to her dislike. Instead his attention favored that of a lowly man eating a pie. Mel shot a glance over and instantly saw the stain of commoner blood in his veins and worse still was the fact he was a Morph. She could sense the aura and instantly became disgusted by his presence. Worst yet, the fool tossed a rock at the gathered nobility. Milly froze as she glanced over uninterested in why or who the man was. Mel took great offense to the act, not really caring that Neva was the target but rather that she was in the vicinity and the rock 'could' have hit her. Her eyes glowed a bright blue as if she was going to attack the Morph right there. But that responsibility was better suited for the guards as the very thought of a Morph coming into contact with herself was repulsive. Plus a guard and his Machoke were already approaching the Morph, commanding he desist at once.
> By the way, how tall exactly is Faire? From the 2 Falmer that I've seen in the Dawnguard DLC, they're pretty tall, but is Faire different? I would assume she's a regular height, because otherwise it would be difficult for her to blend in easily - if I remember correctly, the Falmer were taller than Altmer. I wasn't given too much info on height when I did my research. If we assume that the two from Dawnguard are taller than Nords, then perhaps Faire could measure just about the same height as a Nord. Nords are the tallest playable race if I'm not mistaken and this being a nation of Nords, it would be easier for Faire's height to blend in.
> ohmygodnevaisgoingtofreakoutandtrytoripyouapart > > ;^; > > Just waiting for Pirouette to post before I reply over there. Oh lawd. The freak out is inbound. > > He's a high-strung thing ;^; Sorry lovie. :( First week of school has had my number. But I'm feel reenergized after a nap so I can proceed now.
That is true. An oversight to what Faire and I thought. So I can totally see Valerion bull rushing and knocking Faire off her feet because let's face it, he has complete size advantage for the momentum and Faire had just gotten to her feet in that flashy roll. Val pins Faire down with his boot and just as he is about to bring his sword down, Dreet-Na saves the day as he was the only one pursuing so far. Edit: Niko also works for saving the day!
Posted. Leos or Lord. Feel free to somehow disable Faire as she would never surrender at this rate. I was thinking a hit on the head or something to knock her out to sedate her. That way we can move on to the following day where the group would likely interrogate Faire and Delta can continue his manhunt.
Escape sounded like a possibility as Faire heard an Argonian growl as she bolted across the flat terrain of the hotsprings. As she ran, she took a glance back to see if there were any pursuers but when she turned her attention back to where she was running, an armored golem had suddenly appeared from the waning tree line. The man, whoever he was, looked menancing with the shadows and low light really applying that terror effect. Faire's sprint came to a clumsy stop as she stumbled a bit after a brief stutter step to slow her momentum. Unfortunately she was way to close for comfort as the man's reach could easily bring that massive sword around for a clean cut. In hindsight, casting Ironflesh seemed like a foolish choice when preparing her plan, then again, not being spotted and avoiding this campsite altogether would have been the preferable option. However that was not the life she was living and instead had to face the consequences of right now. The armored man's voice was muffled by his helmet but Faire understood the seriousness of his threat. With the ever slightest caution, Faire took one step back as she held onto her bow tightly as she quickly thought of a plan. Her magelight trick might or might not work. It would almost assuredly prompt the man to swing wildly with his weapon and that could be dangerous. In fact, Faire couldn't get a bead on this man. An odor of preserved dead radiated in the area and the possibility of this man being some type of Draugr didn't seem too farfetched. Whatever he was, Faire could not surrender to him or anyone. If she was the last of her kind, surrender would be a disgraceful way to die. She'd go out fighting. Somewhat of a plan brewed in her mind and without further thinking, she decided to go for it. She just didn't have the time as she could only imagine the camp behind her was mobilizing. "You waste your breath, Atmoran..." Faire said under her breath, taking a guess at the man's race. Without anything else, Faire sprung into action as her hands began to glow with a faint light blue fog. Using her available hand, she hastily fired a Frostbolt at the man's chest, which would hopefully slow him down with either a miss or a hit. Then Faire, herself, leapt back and allowed herself to fall on her back and roll upright again. If she had enough space, she'd planned to just take off again, but head in a perpendicular direction to both the camp and the armored man.
> As are we all Delta, Pirouette likely has a sufficient excuse for the delay. > Our lives take priority after all. Yea sorry folks! School started this week and I've been a very busy gal. I also didn't know I was being waited on as I thought some of the party wanted to respond to the chase. I guess not. :/
> > > > You don't need the beauty sleep, darling. ;) > > Heh~ > If only that was true for my personality. I know I look totally awesome and beautiful either way, but lack of sleep turns me into a total meanie pants (more so than usual) which will only go away if I am given offerings of sweets or compliments xP Well I'm sweet and full of compliments so consider me your remedy. Also I haven't gotten too much sleep as of late so my drive to do things has dropped considerably. I know how it feels. ;_;
> Guuuhhhhh..... > > Why can I not get a decent amount of sleeeeep!? > I slept for a total of only three hours! The day before that? five! All this week I've just not been able to sleep! At this rate my beautiful face is going to get all....unbeautiful. I didn't even have any sweets before bed yesterday! Gah! I just...I'm going...going to go...be an grumpy bitch somewhere else, because I'm pretty sure you all don't care. > > ...and by somewhere else, I mean I'm going to blow shit up on some game or something. Might start on that Nuzlocke fanfic thing I wanted to do after I eat something....and I'm still ranting. > > being sleep deprived sucks. I think I might just crawl under the blankets and just lay there for the rest of the day. You don't need the beauty sleep, darling. ;)
