With the news of Brontes suddenly returning, many divine entities began mobilizing as if to go to immediate war. Zora Showers, as she liked to be called, immediately sought the company of her children as a first instinct. Not all of them could be present but she had at least three show up on such a short notice to the Spring Sprite's own Winter hideaway. It was a cozy little vineyard in the Southwest of the United States, just miles from the Pacific Ocean. It was a neat estate with luscious foliage and the most perfect grapes to ever grace a mouth, mortal or divine.
Zora had been staring idly out into her little grove as her children continued to argue back and forth over what was going to happen. The oldest of those present was Arthus. He could be considered a modern day Achilles for he had unrivaled talent in his strength, speed, wit, looks, and charm, but his arrogance proceeded him and he was always the most difficult child to keep inline. The other, who had just reached adulthood, was Thaddeus. While he was also graced with the perks of being a half-god, he did not share the same peaks as his older half-sibling. Instead, Thaddeus prided himself on his particular talent of farseering, the ability to see events unfolding or that will unfold. It isn't always clear but he did predict Brontes' return just the day before it actually happened, at least he claims so. Finally was a child who took very much after her mother. Rosalie could, by appearance alone, still be considered a child but she was just under the cusp of adulthood. She inherited many things from her mother, but most notably her mother's gentleness and tendency to appear vacuous.
"Winter burns so bright with the fumes of Summer, but it is still just as cold with hearts like these." Zora had finally said, emotionless, after a particularly long session of silence.
"What's that, mother?" Rosalie was quick to ask, not offering the oppurtunity for any of her half-siblings the chance to ask. Zora's vacant expression perked up into a slight smile at her daughter's eagerness. "It is something I heard from somebody, decades ago. It came to mind. That's all." She turned from her perch and very delicately made her way around the room, reaching out and touching the various plants that were slowly invading the estate's walls. The three children watched their mother stroll around the room, ears perked eagerly for her next words.
"What alarms me is the fact that there has been no regard for humanity." Zora stopped at a particularly interesting rose that was growing aggressively into the wall of the estate that it had cracked the wall. "If that was but beginning then many mortals will parish for our petty squabble." Zora continued as she ran her finger gently along the thorny stem of the rose. "And if it comes to that..." Zora's tone became a bit darker and sinister as she left off her sentence. She didn't enjoy the thought of yet another violent hunt for Brontes. Many of her kind were just selfish in their pursuit, but Brontes wasn't immune from blame either. In fact, due to his banishment from the Heavens, the Divinity have only increased in their meddling into the affairs of mortals. Each action they committed against humanity was an offense that Zora took personally and many were guilty by Zora's standards.
"I don't want my children involved." Zora remarked as if she had eyes in the back of head, already seeing that Arthus had arisen, his chest puffed, and mouth open ready to speak. But Mother, I could... Arthus tried to rally a defense for his involvement but he was quickly interrupted. "I will not have my children harmed. I am more than capable." Zora said plainly, still not taking her eyes off the rose. In truth, she actually didn't know what to do. Ideally, she would want all the Divinity to leave Earth and let the Seasons continue their work, but how would that happen. Undo Brontes' work and assist the rest of the Deities to return to the Heavens or was Brontes working on something a bit more permanent. Zora had considered his motives for a great length of time ever since the Banishment, but she still wasn't sure what his endgame was. It made the question as to her allegiance all the more important. What could she do? She needed more information and perhaps talk to the only other deities she trusted outside of her own children, the Seasons.
"I think I must go for now. I'll be back but I.." Zora trailed off as she finally plucked the rose from her wall and let it fall gently to the floor. With that, she made her way to the estate's door and slipped outside. Then in a quick flash, she had transformed into her godly state. It had only been a few hours since she had been in this state as she had just passed off the Summer season to Belle but she still felt a bit stiff. She fluttered her wings a little then took off, planning on seeking Jack out as a first measure seeing as it would the easiest. Brontes returned in his domain and he had likely already spoken with others, but more importantly Ash, the Fall Sprite. She would have finished her sentence but she wasn't sure how it would end. She wasn't sure how any of this would end.
