Lance look at Mia frowning, "you never know what might happen on a mission, better safe than sorry Mia," Lance said with a cheerful smile. He then turned to Bert "The more the merrier" Lance said punching his hand, "let's get this show on the road" Lance said. It's been a while since Lance took a group mission. The people on his team all use diverse magic so it will prove to be very entertaining. Maybe he might even find the man he has been looking for.

Lance smiled waving hey back at Mia, soon Charles came and it was about time to go. "Yeah I'm prepared for this I had a feeling" Lance said replying to Charles. He turned his head to Mia, "are you ready?" Lance said. Lance has yet to see what type of magic Mia uses, he was a bit curious.

Lance smirked at the young girl, "I was about your age, maybe a year older when I first began practicing my magic" Lance said. He then scratched his chin, "demon flute huh, sounds like it will be a tough mission" Lance then smirked. He hadn't been on a tough mission in a while, just thinking about the challenge gets him pumped. "Well I'll be back guys" Lance said leaving the guild hall, he runs over to his small apartment grabbing his travel sack full of supplies he would need. He then exited his house and made his way back to the guild hall making sure he was early.

Lance had been eating a heavy meal in the guild hall when Charles shouted he needed two people for a mission. "I'll join you" Lance said with a mouthful of food, the words didn't Come out the way he wanted too, it sounded like he was mumbling. Lance then downed the food in his mouth with a large cup of apple juice. "I'll join you on the mission" lance said reiterating hiself. He cleaned his plate then walked over to Charles, "so what kind of Mission is it Charles?" Lance said smirking.

Lance comes from a small Island far off the coast from Cedar Town, On the island was an ideally peaceful village where everyone lived in harmony with no conflict. Though a short distance from the village lied an Ancient Ruins dating hundreds of years back prior to creation of the village, inside the Ruins was old writing containing lost magic on stone tablets and the Ruin walls that can give the learner power similar to that of god. At as young as an age of 13 Lance showed Magical power lied dormant. The Elder Leaders of the village foresaw an ominous foe coming to the village in search of the Lost magic. In order to prepare for that day the village leaders chose Lance to study and wield the lost magic, due to it being lost magic it took Lance well over 7 months to learn the basic use of the magic and 4 months later to be able to learn some of the skills. After his 11 months of training, the foe who had been foresaw in the past appeared off the coast of the island in a large boat.

When the ship had arrived Lance had been off in the ruins. Hearing a large explosion and Lance hurried bout of the ruins but the blast radius caused it to collapse on Lance, Lance only choice was to destroy the ruins in order to break out, following suit with the choice Lance escaped the ruins. Shortly after he escaped the Ruins caved in destroying everything, by the time Lance had arrived the village was in ruins and rubble. He searched for survivors, only finding one of the Elder Leaders on the brink of death. He spoke to Lance telling him about the one who wielded Black flames and how he destroyed the village shortly after biting the dust mid talk.

A month after Lance took his leave from his island in order to become more powerful to search for the mage who destroyed his village. Lance traveled to Cedar Town. He heard about a strong magic guild known as fairy tail, Lance had little information on magic guilds only knowing that they provide work for magicians. At age 15 Lance decided to join Fairy Tail so that he can earn money as well as grow as a mage through the jobs he is given.
