I think my plan of getting an Oddish might have failed. Oh, well. Haha.

Whelp. I've read through my entry multiple times now, and I think I've got it mostly as I want it. There are a few parts that I'm worried about, but at this point the story is so tightly woven together that I don't even remotely dare changing anything as it could result in everything just turning weird. Alright. All that's left is for it to be burned to pieces by reviewers and judges, I suppose.
Phew. Alright. Yeah. Haha.

Dewmeadow, Outside Dogwood's Lab

Rowan stood, stunned and pretty much dazed from not knowing what he should do in the situation at hand. Studying had prepared him for any status-effect and any type match-up, yet it had completely and utterly failed to prepare him for this. Purrloin and the rest of them were rolling on, their wills meaning nothing before the rolling ball of String Shot... How did that Caterpie even contain that much web!?

“Rowan, let me know if you… need anything…” Mara stated awkwardly, continuing to watch the frenzy. “I’m sure purrloin will be fine….”

'Ah... Yeah... Thanks...' Rowan replied, equally awkwardly. He couldn't really imagine anything Kira could help with right now, though. Getting out of the way was the right choice, as Lulu demonstrated moments later. Rowan started lightly jogging after the ball, keeping up with it before it exploded into the old oak. For a moment, Rowan was afraid the oak would have been torn down by the ball, THAT would have upset quite a few residents of Dewmeadow. But, as it was, it caused the ball to explode, and...

'Purrloin!' Rowan shouted out and ran, picking up his fainted Pokemon. Purrloin lay down in his arms, her eyes spinning and limbs helplessly and powerlessly clawing at the air above it as Rowan lifted it

'Pu-uuu-uurrrrr... looooiin...' Purrloin made an odd weakened noise where it lay, causing Rowan to breathe out in relief. She's still alive, thank Arceus.

'… You did well, Purrloin. Good job.' Rowan told his Pokémon, daring to smile a bit. Though, there was the matter of being distracted like that, but Rowan was going to forgive his weakened Pokémon for it, he'd just inform her about it later. Yeah. That'd do.

”Do you think we should rest your pokemon for the night? Give them a potion, perhaps? I’m sure either would suffice….” She suggested, looking at both Yasha and Rowan in turn.

'Y-yeah, we should probably take our Pokémon to the Pokémon Center to be healed. Or, maybe even Dogwood has a place for that. In any case.' Rowan would then turn to the kids they had just battled, and smiled happily.

'That was a good battle! Thank you very much!' He'd tell them, before bowing a little before them. It felt important to him to show respect towards them, too. 'And of course, you two did well, too!' He said, to Mara and Kira as well as to Yasha and Lulu. 'This was a great first battle! Really taught a lesson of that anything can happen! Haha!' Rowan laughed happily, absent-mindedly stroking the furr of his fainted Purrloin, who was fainted in his arms...

’PURRLOIN! WATCH OUT, THERE’S A-’ A what? Rowan was unsure what it was, but “a rolling Mareep covered in String Shot web” felt too long to properly convey in the remaining amount of time. Fortunately, Purrloin turned her head and looked in the direction in time. Unfortunately, she could only blink a bit in stunned surprise as the white ball collided with her.

‘RRRRLOIN…!’ A panicked cat immediately started flailing as they started rolling together, Rowan staring with an expression of being incredibly unsure of what exactly to do in this particular situation. Alright, uh, that’s going to hurt if they continued.

‘Purrloin, use-!’ … Then it felt really ridiculous of Rowan to tell his Pokémon to attempt to use Scratch to get out, because Purrloin was already flailing her clawing at absolutely everything within her range as they rolled, be it at the web she was stuck in or the air itself. Now, the problem was, since her claws were mostly being clawed out into the air, and she was rolling, it mostly became an effect of quickly flying white claws all around the rolling ball of web…

Rollout used Scratch?

@Pikmin Eye Because I'm somewhat busy with normal life, I've mostly taken to only reading the Dewmeadow posts and posting to acknowledge that, meaning that I've been skipping those posts too. But, since you've said this, I've taken it onto myself to read those posts and tell my impression. So, why do we have three different villain-teams? Well, suppose that's entirely alright, we have three different player-teams! XD

@Zardoric The Team Legacy members seem normal enough. Because I really don't know anything about them and don't know what drives them or anything, I do find these guys to be quite mysterious but so far not extremely interesting. ... Like the case is usually for the Pokémon Teams in the Pokémon games, so guess you nailed it! XD ... But yeah. They're there. I can look forward to eventually interacting with them, as soon as I get a better Pokémon Team. I need to get six Pokémon, fast. Haha.

@SleepingSilence The Outsiders, unlike Team Legacy, I do kind of feel like I know now after reading their posts (and the fact I can see their CSes help). Therefore, I can say I am quite amused by their posts. In fact, their little dynamics and quirks are nothing short of humorous. I quite like them. ... Still, the fact she apparently already has an Arcanine scares me. Means to me that I probably shouldn't encounter them anytime soon, need to get better first. Hahaha...

@Pikmin Eye And then there's you. Yeah, you. You left an impression. Did I say I needed to get better to face the others? Well, I don't want to face you at all out of sheer apprehensive fear, no matter how good I get. Your first post mildly traumatized my impression of what aura this roleplay was supposed to have because "I THOUGHT WE WERE KEEPING, LIKE, CHILD-FRIENDLY POKÉMON AURA" and quickly got really scared. Man, you're ominous, and I think I can approve of you being ominous. Hopefully, I don't need to encounter you until I'm, like, Champion level. Because Rowan's... not ready for you. Neither Pokémon-wise or emotion-wise. Yikes. Haha.

Yeah, that's about that.
