Welcome to my Bio, random person. Yeah, my name is pretty redundant (Polaris - North Star, North... well north.)
Things you need to know about me?
I live in the Philippines. I'm a student and life gets a bit hectic so please understand if I suddenly become more sporadic when it comes to replies.
I'm involved in a lot of fandoms (mostly anime) and as long as it gets my interest, I'll join. My range is from free to casual [or well, as long as I can get it from the post I'm replying to]. I'm more of a fantasy kid than a slice of life but I think I can join something like that. I'm not much of a romance writer so I keep myself to PG-13 and not exceed anything else.
Well to be honest, I just based Akira's homeland on some generic place in Japan back in the old times and he's quite a traveler so I don't really have any to add.
Location: Clearing in front of Shadow Ridge Den Interacting with: Denali @A Tattooed Girl
Robyn returned the grin with a smile. Honestly, despite Denali being the Alpha for a year and a half, it seems she still sees him as one of the ordinary wolves. Perhaps Denali would notice that she gave no respect to him (like bowing her head) when she greeted him or maybe he wouldn't. She certainly didn't notice the mistake. "Sure, I'd love to join! It's my job anyway." She admitted with a grin as she trotted beside the alpha male. She had grown at ease with the wolf, given that his reaction was quite different than the previous alpha male's was. Well to be honest, the previous one wasn't really the best alpha wolf example. With tail wagging, excited for the patrol, or well she didn't really need a reason to be excited considering her personality, she waited for Denali to lead on before following.
Name: Harayuki Hiro [Last, First] Age: 20 Gender: Male Previous Occupation: Business student
Player/Beta Tester/Hacker: Player Alliance: Currently Neutral
Gamertag: The_Revenant Alias: Yukihiro Gender: Male Level: 50 Class: Warlock Subclass: Necromancer Necromancers are known for their “one-man parties” as they are able to summon many characters to their side who do most of the fighting for them. These characters vary depending on the choice the necromancer, himself, makes. The downside to this is that he has relatively low health compared to most warlocks and they are mostly dependent on their summons Yukihiro has the ability to summon 3 long-lasting summons at the same time.
Necromancer's Magnifier A staff given to the winner of a Necromancer-only battle. It adds more mana to the player's mana pool and also strengthens all summons, adding a 10% increase to all stats. Book of Spells This is just a one of the high-ranking items Yukihiro won. It strengthens attack spells by 15% when used. Yukihiro rarely uses this though.
Abilities:
Summon Indriel - Every summoner gets their own summons, Indriel being Hiro’s. Indriel is a phantom warrior. Dueling two swords for maximum damage, she charges head-on to the enemies to protect her master. She’s also a sentient being, and Hiro would often talk to her if he feels a little lonely. Indriel is a summon that lasts for however long Hiro wills it, unless she falls in combat in which she isn’t able to be resummoned until the designated time cooldown. [3 posts since death]
Summon Christian - Yet another of Hiro’s summons, in contrast to Indriel’s close combat, Christian excels at mid-range fighting, keeping the enemies at a distance using his twin pistols-mini railgun hybrid. He is also like Indriel, a sentient being who can last forever until defeated. The most talkative out of the three summons. [4 post cooldown]
Summon Alisia - The third and probably last out of his summons is Alisia, the party’s healer. She stays back with Hiro for the most part and only goes out to heal when it is truly needed by the other two. However, she is the weakest among them all and doesn’t have AOE healing powers, yet. She has one attack spell which is fireball and even then she rarely uses it. She is rather meek and tends to hide behind Hiro, Indriel or Christian when someone approaches her. She is new so she isn't as developed (especially her skills) than Indriel and Christian. [5 post cooldown]
Shield - Adds a 10% defense buff to a party Heal - A simple heal spell that restores 20% health Heaven's Light - The player that is casted by this ability restores 5% health per 10 seconds. Lasts for two minutes. Fireball - A simple fire spell that inflicts a 'burn' status
*Note: Summons get stronger as the necromancer levels up
Skeletal Warriors - Skeletons armed with only a sword and shield can be summoned almost anywhere really considering the amount of deaths that has happened in-game. He can summon two at max and they only last for a little time [3 posts] They have relatively low health compared to Indriel so they’re usually used as meat shields. [2 post since death]
Fire Bats - This is the very basic attack of his. He summons bats to attack an enemy/enemies that are within the range and deal extra fire damage. Although this has very short range and he needs to stay still if he wants to activate this skill.
Skull Bomb - He summons a skull and explodes upon impact of anything really. It doesn’t deal too much damage but it works as a well enough distraction. Although when it does explode, it releases some sort of poison gas which slowly damages enemies within range but it can be easily avoided or blown away.
Bio: Hiro had always been fascinated by the world of gaming. He was born under two rich people so he was practically born with a silver spoon. When he was just a child, he already had a gadget on hand. He grew up playing games, and of course studying. He was an average student but he did his best considering that for every 90+ grade he had, he would get a new game. He had made multiple friends in the internet through these games which he would usually chat up when he wanted. Despite everything though, he tries to be independent and not act like a spoiled brat. Basically, games were given to him through hard work and not just asking his parents. So did most of the things he had. He led a great life.
But then Elysium was released. Through multiple connections from his father, he got a hold of the copy ahead of its release date but it was already the final version. It opened up a whole new world for him. Everything was amazing. It was a mix of practically every genre known to mankind. He developed friends in a much deeper level and he highly enjoyed everything. Although the year passed and he found himself trapped within the game. Any attempt to eject themselves through outside means would result in thousands of deaths. His parents understood this immediately after the first attempt and in fear that they would lose their son, they stopped trying and only cheered him from the background. But he never thought it was a bad thing though. He just had to be more careful. He doesn’t have a purpose right now other than surviving and grinding. But give him a good reason and he’ll join your cause.
"I know you guys think I'm patient and all but this place is honestly creeping me out!" Will called back to the two as he leaned on the building next to him. The alarms in his head had subsided, seeing as there was no way out of this. He could consider this place as a 'normal' place filled with goodies and danger. While it was far from normal, obviously, he didn't have much of a choice now.
"Yeah, it worked with me. Hopefully, it'll work with everyone." Although Eleanora's main problem would be when she's released from this orphanage. In this place, you have all the time in the world to interact with others. Outside though... now that's a different world altogether. "You're not a burden. Trust me." He then stood up. "But I'm sure the next activity is due. Come by when you're alright." He then flashed her a reassuring smile before leaving, placing the fishbowl on the desk on his way.
He reached the kitchen in time to hear that they had power development. Oh sweet, one of his most favorite activities here. He kept to the back as he followed the group to the gym.
Age: 42 [Although he doesn’t seem to age beyond when he transformed into a yokai]
Race: Yokai - Bakeneko
Personality: Most people would already shiver at the sound of a Bakeneko entering their household. Now multiply that fear thricefold for Akira. The cat-turned-yokai is a very mischievous character, often playing pranks and casting illusions to throw humans off just so he can laugh. Tricking and scaring humans must be his favorite past time. However, while he does like doing all of those, he doesn’t cross the line and try to actually kill a human. That’s beyond him. So he tends to avoid old people, and even if he hangs around them, he wouldn’t even dare to scare them. Trick them, maybe, but they’re usually wise so they sometimes know if he’s fake or not. Sometimes. Rarely.
Although when he isn’t in mischievous mode, he’s actually pretty lax about almost everything. He would often be seen relaxing in some place. When he feels like it, he sometimes helps out humans. Transforming into their loved ones can be both terrifying and can be their closure; he does both. He is well-known around the yokai world thanks to his mischievous acts that sometimes victims yokai. But almost every yokai knows that even if he is a handful, he’s most of the time fun to be around. With all his stories and his jovial nature, he can approach anyone without any problems. He is passive about many things, not taking too many things to heart.
History: Akira, like all Bakenekos, started off as a normal cat. He was adopted by the Igarashi family when he was just a kid and was given the name ‘Akira’. He enjoyed his time there as he was well taken care of. However, his master’s husband had died from old age. The family continued on fine but Akira admits that he missed the guy. The next tragedy that befell the Igarashi family was when his master’s son died because of some sort of lover’s rivalry, the killer being part of the Ueda family. Akira was sad, but it wasn’t really much of a problem to him. Humans tend to die easily, just like him.
But the mother had spiralled into depression and kept talking to Akira, pouring all the sadness, hatred and other negative feelings on the cat. Akira had turned fourteen years old when his master committed suicide. He turned into a yokai, a Bakeneko, after licking his master’s blood. He began haunting the Ueda household, bringing misfortune and confusing them greatly. They had become a cursed household and they died out. This is also the time when Akira adopted his master’s son’s appearance as his default human form.
Finding no purpose in the world, Akira began travelling all over the country, bringing misfortune on the family that deserves it. He never had a master after the Igarashi family so he was a simply yokai stray, not that many would appreciate having such a cat-yokai in their home.
One time, however, someone had approached him. An agent of the nine-tailed fox named Anjou. Akira had heard about the guy, but couldn’t care less. He brought a message about wanting Akira to help with Anjou’s plan, inviting him into the group. Akira refused to join, mostly because he wants no master besides his human one. The guy didn’t respond too kindly to the rejection and fought with Akira.
He managed to hold out, but the guy was stronger than him. His necromancy power was taken from him, along with his dignity, and left. This angered Akira greatly. Having the power only to lose it didn’t sit well with him. But even so, this wasn't enough to anger Akira completely. Another year passed by and he went back to the Igarashi family grave. Then he found out that the grave has been desecrated and the obvious answer was Anjou or his minions. This snapped something in Akira.
And so he yearns revenge, to both take back his pride, his power and to take out his anger at them for ruining his family's grave. This happened years ago and that’s why he trained with weapons so he can hold his own against Anjou.
Skills: Akira rarely fights, mostly because he prefers running to fighting. However, when he does, he mostly uses his ghost fire to fight. Hurling it at the enemy is one way to do it, and also surrounding his enemy with fire to prevent escape. When it comes to hand-to-hand combat, he tends to jump around quickly and then attack and retreat as quickly as possible. Given his cat-like agility, speed and control of body, he makes an excellent hit and run person. His claws also hurt. A lot. Like a cat’s.
However, he has great accuracy. While hurling ghost fire at people is one way to use it, he learned how to use human weaponry. He mostly uses bows and arrows, and coats the tip of the arrow with his ghost fire. Then he will shoot the arrow towards the enemy, If it hits, the ghost fire spreads on the person. If it doesn’t hit, then it will spread around them. He likes this method very much but if he doesn’t have a bow, then he’ll just resort back to hurling fireballs. He knows how to use the sword and occasionally coats that with ghost fire when he fights. While it can’t spread to other weaponry (that are made of steel), if it reaches your clothing, then it can spread.
Powers: Bakenekos are famous for their ability to shapeshift into other cats or humans. This gives them the ability to take the place of another human. This is how Akira turns into a human, a half-cat half-human, and a cat. Although sometimes his human form differs when he is tricking someone, he has a default human form [The picture above without the cat ears and tail].
He can also summon ‘ghost fires’ or blue-red flames that can and will put things on fire when willed, but can disappear as quickly as it appeared. Touching his tail would result in a burning sensation, and when his tail brushes onto some flammable thing… well, let’s just say that it would burst into flames.
Note that these flames act like normal fire, and thus is easy to put out with fire. But it tends to spread quickly so you have to hurry.
He can eat poisonous food without a problem, loves it even.
[Sealed] After a particular encounter, his ability to raise the dead and use them as puppets was sealed. He can’t even use a bit of that power.
Equipment:
This is a katana that actually belonged to the Igarashi family. Seeing that no one else would be able to inherit it, Akira had taken it for himself. He claims that he can still feel his masters in it, hearing some of their voices.
A bow that he stole from a grave robber. He had met this particular grave robber while he was resting in a graveyard. Pissed off when he saw him playing with corpses (when Akira couldn’t), he began stealing his equipment in his sleep and then disappearing. Wonderfully crafted and fits him perfectly, he feels that the bow is perfect for him.
Will nodded as Juliet ran back to the campsite where Mason had stayed. He placed the blunt head of the axe on his shoulder and kept the basket hugged near her as he waited. He could hear the stuttering of Mason and Juliet trying to comfort him. The blond waited patiently for the two to return.
"I'm not busy anyway, aside from the activities we do and the only necessary exercise I do can all be done in the morning." He pointed out. It was obvious that he wouldn't be taking it back, no matter what she says. Her question caught him off guard though. "I don't know. If it doesn't work then... then I guess it doesn't. People will just need to be patient around you." Really there wasn't really anything he could reply to that that would cheer or reassure her. As pointed out earlier, he wasn't the best at reassuring people.
"Mommy and daddy? Uh, how about caretakers?" Avir didn't like the fact that they were being treated as mates, seems Saaba feels the same way as well. They were simply doing this to take care of them after all. His conscience won't allow him to leave these cubs alone; he doesn't want them to experience the same thing he had when he lost his parents. Starving and stumbling and learning how to hunt by himself wasn't really the fondest memory he had. "Yeah, what are your names?"
