Welcome to my Bio, random person. Yeah, my name is pretty redundant (Polaris - North Star, North... well north.)
Things you need to know about me?
I live in the Philippines. I'm a student and life gets a bit hectic so please understand if I suddenly become more sporadic when it comes to replies.
I'm involved in a lot of fandoms (mostly anime) and as long as it gets my interest, I'll join. My range is from free to casual [or well, as long as I can get it from the post I'm replying to]. I'm more of a fantasy kid than a slice of life but I think I can join something like that. I'm not much of a romance writer so I keep myself to PG-13 and not exceed anything else.
Heyo, here's my character. Thought you guys might need a bruiser.
Name: Raviel "Rav" Husk
Race: Leopard Beastkin
Magic/Abilities:
Blessings: Distinctly remembering one of the first things taught to him, his skill in casting blessings to himself and to his allies are great. It can span from the ability to breathe underwater to singular enhanced physical prowess, depending on which spell is needed to be cast for the time being. Though his blessings last for an entire battle, he is limited to giving blessings to those whom he could touch - and never more than three blessings at a time. Rav specializes in a different style of blessing.
Runic Blessings: These types of blessings are more seen than others. Instead of an aura emanating from a singular person, one could easily see the glowing runes on a part of their body on which the mage had placed it on. Each rune is specifically made for an enchancement and must be written down on one part of the body and then activated before it takes effect. This is mostly the reason why Rav uses it mostly on himself rather than having to hurry to someone else to write a rune on them.
Teleportation: An intermediate teleportation mage, he already has the ability to teleport himself in very short distances though that is magically draining if used repeatedly without rest. For longer distances and for additional people, he has to chant the spells. The longer the distance and/or the more the people, the longer the spell he has to chant and the more magically draining it becomes.
Conjuration Perhaps his most prominent and most focused on magic, conjuration is the field he specializes in. He already has an arsenal of weaponry, though he has trouble when creating any form of ranged weaponry. It seems that anything that needs 'ammunition' to be used is more magically draining so he doesn't prefer them unless he has to do it. The weaponry appears as a dark purple and misty object which only he can touch as it dissipates when someone else touches it.
Personality: Rav has a misleading appearance. There is often a misconception about him as he looks like the type of person who would wrestle everyone to submission. He seems rude and unapproachable if only because of his resting face that looks like he doesn't want to be disturbed. But do not let that perturbe you from talking to him, as once you do, he's actually a rather funny and helpful kind of guy who would smile at you once you start interacting with him. Though, Rav initiates conversations a lot himself as others seem to not prefer them going to him.
Rav is a passionate man. If he wanted to do something, he will do it without a doubt. Of course, he understands that there are limitations in what he can do, so he typically just leaves those be unless he can find some way to get around the rules. He can be a little bit too hotblooded when it comes to doing what he is passionate about. He's rather loud about it too - not that it is arrogant, but he's just really easily excited about things.
Background: Raviel was born into a beastkin tribe that rests in mountainous region near Zauberheim. They actually do not try to stay in the cities, but the members of the tribe occassionally do visit Zauberheim - to either exchange information about magic or to simply do something for the mages of Zauberheim who needs aid in travelling to collect things. Their tribe is closely linked with Zauberheim and its culture; hence why Raviel is so fascinated with them. Their tribe mostly specializes in buffing magic or blessings.
Raviel has always been fascinated with magic, branching out of what his tribe could do. He's always been thankful and fascinated with Aylama, their creator. While his kin seems to gear towards Amalya, he veered off. Spending more and more time with the mages of Zauberheim to learn more about magic, Raviel has become self-taught with most of his studies with only public libraries to study from. He began setting his eyes on the Royal Library, but he obviously couldn't get in unless he was of nobility or part of the actual student body of Seraph Academy. Knowing what he must do now, he decided that perhaps also studying in the most prestigious academy for magic Razelia had to offer might be good for him. Being part of the tribe who has helped Zauberheim and Razelia throughout the ages and also having great potential as a battlemage, Raviel was given access to study at Seraph Academy.
In the few years he studies at the Academy, there was nothing of note that had happened to him. He's always ever excelled in combat, which had to combine both physical and magical capabilities to win. Raviel manages to show off his own survival skills in these, having grown up with only a tribe and the wildnerness in your favor. What has been constantly noted is that he typically reinforces himself so that he can get up close and personal with his enemies - especially since every single one of them are mages.
Raviel flipped backward - two glowing runes on his forearm representing all the blessings he placed on himself - Increased Magical Resistance and Increased Agility. There was a grin on his face as he ducked under a fireball. Ah, how he enjoyed sparring classes. It always seemed to be the most eventful out of all of their classes. His right hand began to glow and he pressed it against his left hand as he charged forward. He rolled sideways to avoid a column of fire and then formed a conjured pole staff.
He then pushed forward - swinging the pole towards his fellow student - Farion. Farion raised a physical barrier to the right, small enough that he could make it in a split second but precise enough so that the strike wouldn't connect. And in a blink of an eye, Raviel was gone.
Appearing on top of the man, he swung the pole downwards. The pole connected with Farion's shoulder and he crumpled down. A sharp whistle went through the area signalling the end of the spar. Raviel nimbly got his feet on the ground and dismissed the conjured pole. "You alright man?" He questioned his fellow student.
Farion stood up. "Yeah, I think so. I'll go see a healer just in case." He said before moving out of the training arena.
Raviel would never hurt someone innocent unless there was good reason for it. Sparring classes he took seriously, and that was because there were healers who could restore broken bones and nasty gashes. He had to play it safe too, so his teachers barred him from using any other weapon aside from his pole staff - which he understood completely.
"Excellent control, Mr. Husk. You've been improving on your teleportation magic I see." One of his instructors complimented with a nod. "I'm sure your family will be proud of you."
The beastkin gave his instructor a grin and a thumbs up. "I'll be dead if they weren't!" He pointed out with little to no reservation. He then waved goodbye to the instructor and proceeded to head towards the Royal Library. He won't be loitering around yet. There was still much to be discovered and much to learn about both Lady Amalya and Lady Aylama. He wasn't going to be staying here forever, after all.
Jensen definitely looks normal - and the longer you look at him, the more you think that maybe he shouldn't be part of this group. Nothing about him seems off - even his general aura isn't too serious. He has a mop of sandy brown hair on top of his head and his birght azure eyes compliment this well. He has a body type which can be described as athletic, but isn't anything too impressive when you place him with other athletes. Like his fellow athletes, however, he has mildly tanned skin. He also stands at a height of 6'2".
He is typically found in different clothing. Honestly, he cycles through a lot of fashion trends or sometimes he doesn't follow it. From jackets and jeans to muscle shirts and cargo pants, he can switch between it. He's in the season yesterday, he's out of it today - that's just how it is since he doesn't particularly care what he puts on. Oftentimes when he goes out to buy clothing, he gets help from some of his friends - both normal and New Breeds - so he takes their suggestions to heart and thus this kind of thing happens.
Underneath his clothing is a variety of tattoos. His right arm is covered in a sleeve of black inked tattooos - creating intricate designs that only he can understand. It extends all the way onto his chest. These tattoos are linked to his actual magical ability as they appear whenever he learns how to summon another creature. They glow bright blue whenever he activates that certain summon. His costume is made to show these tattoos off so he has a sleeveless hoodie over some casual clothing. He has a half mask that only covers the top of his head - showing only his mouth.
As expected from someone of his age and physique, he has a rather low but silvery voice with a cheerful tone most of the time. Some of his friends tease him that his voice is enough to make anyone's heart flutter a little bit.
Personality: Jensen has been the popular kid throughout his school because of his athletic ability, moderately good looks, and kind persaonlity. He has a good heart and is pretty approachable despite the tattoos that have been appearing on his skin ever since he was a kid. He's the type of kid who doesn't break the rules in school and rarely talks badly of anyone. It's why he's remembered as a goody two shoes in his school - which completely disregards the fact that he has weird tattoos on him and thus his physical appearance isn't quite remembered. But then again, he had to wear long sleeved shirts all the time when he was in school because of this.
Jensen is an empathetic person - picking up the mood quickly and even slipping into silence when someone needs it. This also extends to animals and spirits, hence why his skill with making contracts is above that of normal. He can lend an ear to anyone who wishes it. He's not good at giving advices though. He's not as experienced as he wants to be and this leads him to just speculate on the idea of what to do. Though he is very closed off about his actual feelings which leads him to battle with his own emotions by himself - but that's how he just is. Yes he is open with his thoughts but rarely his feelings.
To his friends, he is seen as the 'mom' type of the group. He takes care of those around him rather well. He sometimes sinks into temptation and has been drinking alcohol when he was still underaged. He drank mostly because of his friends, so it easily shows how quickly he succumbs to peer pressure. However, he soon learned his lesson that he should only drink moderately so he does continue drinking, but only small amounts compared to his colleagues. But that doesn't mean he's still not reckless and sometimes he pushes himself past his limits because of his friends.
Which brings us to the next point - Jensen is weak willed. He does not want others to think badly of him. He does everything so people are happy with him - even if it does go against what he feels is right especially when those people are his friends. Quickly influenced and convinced, it becomes a danger when he befriends and trusts someone who aims to manipulate him which is rather easy. After all, he is a trusting person and he doesn't so easily revoke his trust in someone until he has solid and undeniable proof that that person plans to betray him at some point.
Skills:
> Quick Learner: Aside from his hardworking attitude, Jensen's personality is complimented well with this. He can easily pick things up when it's taught to him or if he's exposed to it for a certain amount of time.
> House chores: Since Jensen was orphaned early in life and then taken in by a working relative, he learned how to take care of his house by himself. He also used to help out the New Breeds whenever he stayed over with Viorel and others. From cooking to cleaning, he can do it rather well.
> Interaction: Jensen is the master of interaction. Extroverted and friendly, Jensen can strike up a conversation with anyone if he so wished. That's just how he is. Hey, does that guy look like he needed help? Ask him! Does that girl seem like she's being harassed? Help her out!
> Empathy: Jensen has the ability to bond with anything given a time. While he can't understand animals through speech, he has been shown to be quite good at getting along with them. This also makes him the de facto choice when it comes to taking care of animals. This has extended towards spirits as well.
Hobbies:
> Sports and exercising: He's an athlete. Anything that involves anything phsyical is actually quite enjoyable to him. When he doesn't have to do anything, you would often find him exercising.
> Cleaning: Oddly enough, when he doesn't feel like exercising, you would find him cleaning something up. Perhaps it is something that was carried over to him feeling the need to care for those within his home.
> Foreign Langauges: He actually is fascinated with foreign languages and is trying to learn more about it. He has learned Spanish, French and Latin over the years he's trying. He has tried Mandarin but is still trying since he's having trouble with their characters.
Weapons: He does wear brass knuckles whenever he goes into a fight when he needs to get up close and personal. He is mildly proficient in boxing, but is nowhere near professional level. He tends to pick up other weapons when his brass knuckles aren't enough.
Equipment: N/A
Fighting Style: While he often just sends his summons to fight for him, as per how you would normally do, he sometimes takes to the battlefield as well if needed - utilizing any skill he had obtained during his time at sports.
Strength: He's rather physically fit. He won't be throwing anyone without breaking a sweat, but his punches does hurt. He can tank more hits than the average person, but when faced against those who are powerful - he might not last as long as those who are enhanced physically. He will not fare well after at least four well placed punches.
Endurance: He can keep up physically with others and can keep going on for far longer than normal people. He can run a good distance before getting tired, a side effect of being an athlete. He's still a human, however, so he needs to eat and sleep in exchange for the amount of energy that he spends every day. Which is a lot. He's been seen to eat twice as much as the otehrs.
Willpower: He doesn't like leaving things half-baked. So he tries to finish anything he wants to finish. Though if it's really difficult, he will feel very tired and would have to rest for a while. He can be easily manipulated through words and the likes. But his mental fortitude for anyone who's trying to read his mind or anything related to trying to poke at his mind would be hit by the emotional tiredness of dealing with spirits.
Speed: He's not too fast but he's not too shabby either. He doesn't specialize in this area as he's more of a heavy puncher than an agile dodger.
Reaction Speed: He has mildly excellent reaction speed since he's involved in fast paced games. He can dodge attacks if given enough room to do so and his speed allows it, but most especially, he can block attacks coming to him or warning others of the danger they are in.
Name of Ability: Runic Summoning
Class: Magic
Character Theme: Summoners didn't exactly have a good reputation as they were often misinterpreted as the same as necromancers. It wasn't until very recently did they have been correctly labeled - not that summoners hated necromancers. So, anyhow, summoners though rare nowadays have become more accepted. In everyday life, these summoned creatures have been used for a variety of things that help out for physical labor. Jensen typically doesn't care much for outwards appearance while he fights, hence why he appears to be reckless instead of graceful. Jensen has been seen as, ironically, the 'bad boy' of the group because of his tattoo runes and his head to head fighting when it comes to more humanoid enemies.
Ability Capabilities: Runic summoning is a branch of summoning where instead of chanting or physically creating magic circles on the spot to summon, they just use their runes. This saves time as the rites of summoning is shorter than the normal summoning rites as it users only need to tap the rune and call out the summon's name.
Qualities of Ability: Jensen isn't special amongst the New Breeds who can use Runic Summoning, though his ability to befriend summons to create contracts is rather unique to him.
Brolvakig - A hellhound-like being who he has made a contract with when he was a child. This was his second official contract when his family had died. Brolvakig, like the other summons, have a level of sentience. Brolvakig can telepathically speak with others but little supernatural abilities aside from that. Of course, he can fight well.
Brolvakig as a spirit is mostly just seen as a normal dog by others, despite appearances. He enjoys playing with the others when he's out in passive mode. When he starts speaking - a rather rare occurence for everyone who isn't Jensen or a close friend of his - he's rather polite and respectful as long as you have earned it. Brolvakig is fond of those in the SYNBAD, but typically likes not being disturbed unless he wants to play. He knows Jensen's secrets, having been the second oldest spirit he has, and is a constant reminder of what Jensen had done.
Tier: 2
Strength: Bite power is around above average for a dog. He can definitely tackle someone onto the ground and bite out their jugular like a normal dog. He's also been shown to be able to drag a body without much difficulty. However, he won't be flinging around bodies any time soon.
Endurance: Above Average. He won't get tired so easily and can outrun most beings in terms of letting them tire it out. Hellhounds, after all, are known to follow their prey tirelessly so that they may end them once they get tired. It's mostly because they are experts in conserving energy and doesn't put extra effort unless they really need to.
Willpower: For as long as his master stays sane, he won't stop. However, in terms of his master's mental stability, if Jensen manages to lose a grip from reality, it is less likely for him to take his orders.
Speed: Above average. Hellhounds run fast and they run tirelessly. He is quick on his feet and is agile enough to be able to change directions without much difficulty while running.
Reaction Speed: Above average. He can react fast enough to dodge attacks. He can dodge a bullet given the fact that he can hear it as it fires and is able to react accordingly. He has enhanced senses after all. However, if he is overwhelmed, he won't be reacting to every single thing with precise timing.
Taurus - Five years ago, he had encountered Taurus during a summoning ceremony with one of the New Breeds Summoners and he managed to make a contract with him. He's useful especially for physical labor as he has supernatural strength. Taurus typically doesn't have a weapon on hand as human weapons tend to break quickly. He is rather large in terms of size, standing at a solid 8 feet.
He's rather crude in terms of behavior but does follow Jensen's orders. He is not literally the Zodiac sign, but he is quite similar to it and believes that he represents it. He's competitive and boisterous - loud and annoying at times. He loves jumping to challenges and doesn't back down. Taurus hasn't managed to piss anyone off too much wiht it but Jensen tends to avoid summoning him unless he's being badgered to do so.
Tier: 4
Strength: Supernatural strength. Taurus has been seen to be able to pick up a moderately sized van and throw it with ease. He also can endure a lot of hits - physical or otherwise. He's probably the strongest out of all the spirits in Jensen's arsenal. Taurus has proudly claimed to have wrestled with Drakes back during the time when he was still alive and roamed the eart freely. He seemed to have retained his strength once he was being enforced by the magic of a summoner.
Endurance: Above average. Taurus doesn't tire easily. He can keep on going long after a normal human would have given up.
Willpower: Low. In terms of master's sanity, when Jensen loses a grip on him - and him especially - he can and will go berserk out of the need for blood and destruction. He is also easily tricked.
Speed: Below average. Because of his sheer size, he lumbers around. He's slower than a normal human but when he gains his momentum, he tends to slam his body and deal some damage.
Reaction Speed: Average. He can react to put some defenses up, but is only on par with that of a normal human.
Alyssa - A young fae-like spirit that Jensen had met when he was just a child and made his first contract with. They have a strong connection to each other and he often has her summoned when he's not doing anything. So far, he seems to be at ease whenever she's around - but doesn't let her out when it's in a battle. She is small - only standing at a total height of 5 inches.
Alyssa is Jensen's guide - something you call your first summon. They are usually the ones who guide them through contracts. It isn't always a fae, like Alyssa. Sometimes it's a lump of white thing, sometimes it's a big monster. Alyssa, as expected, is calm, collected and helpful to him. She is quite literally the guiding light of the boy ever since he was young. She doesn't speak to many people aside from Jensen and is understandably cautious all the time.
As she did manage to summon herself to guide the young boy, she is theoretically able to do this as well at any point in time in exchange for her own magical energy. She also can be present with another summon without it having any adverse effects on Jensen unlike normal as she doesn't cost as much due to her overall weaker position.
Tier: 1
Strength: Low. As she is literally five inches, her punches isn't going to hurt. She can do minor light magic, like lighting up the way and she lets out an etherial glow. However, Alyssa can't really do much aside from that.
Endurance: Average. She can fly around for quite some time without having to rest, but she tends to sit down and rest on Jensen's shoulder after a while.
Willpower: Exceptional. Probably the only thing that might keep Jensen out of trouble. Even if Jensen absolutely loses his mind, Alyssa is still sane enough to not suddenly betray him as most other spirits would do. She is tasked with guiding him after all.
Speed: Above average. She's small. Of course she's going to be fast. Or at least, faster than any bigger, lumbering beasts.
Reaction Speed: Above average. Again, she's rather small and fast. She can process things faster and then react accordingly. As long as she's able to sense / see what is coming to her, she can most likely avoid it.
Namina - A fire spirit. She has been with Jensen soon after Brolvakig had been contracted. As any good fire spirit can do, she can summon fireballs and hurl it at enemies. She can even go supernova, but that means she'll burn herself out and have to retreat.
She is mostly silent - even when she's been summoned. She is a generally passive spirit. When there are discussions inside Jensen's head, she typically stays silent until directly asked. Namina doesn't tend to like being summoned all that much, especially in situations where she isn't needed. She isn't too powerful though and is mainly there because of some incident that... well I'll share it with you guys at some point.
Jensen is still trying to train her so that she'll at least be a little more useful, but he can understand the emotional trauma that rests within the fire spirit.
Tier: 2
Strength: Average. While she can lift things that an average woman can, she isn't anythign special in this department. She is magically inclined and is rather more potent than normal fire magic users, but is based more around technique than raw power.
Endurance: Average. She can keep up with normal humans but also tires out magically when she uses her powers extensively. She usually doesn't like tiring herself out too.
Willpower: Average. She isn't going to do anything if Jensen isn't giving orders and not in the right state of mind. At least she won't go berserk.
Speed: Above average. Considering that she does float around, she is rather fast and can keep up with an Olympic runner. She is rather confident in that regard.
Reaction Speed: Above average. She's rather fast on the uptake and rarely lets herself get surprised. She is always acutely aware of what's going on around her because of her natural cautiousness.
Harpia - Unlike most of her sisters and brothers, Harpia looks like an amalgamation of other creatures - though her most prominent feature is being a 'harpy'. He had only gotten Harpia five months prior to the events. A rogue spirit who needed to be taken down, but Jensen managed to calm her down and make a contract with her - much to the shock of his own summons but they accepted her into the team. Harpia seemed to have only reappeared as a spirit recently, hence her reaction of going wild.
Though she is new and is still rather shy, she is trying to open up a little bit. Alyssa and her do get along, but Alyssa usually just got along with his summons - surprisingly even with Taurus. Jensen has begun to take her out more often while in passive days so that she can get acquainted with the SYNBAD members. He hasn't put her into any battles yet as she was still new and would be quite a shock to just suddenly fight when she didnt' want to.
Tier: 3
Strength: Above Average. Surprisingly, she can lift someone around Jensen's size and weight but that's her max. She doesn't really punch things, however, so her strength can't be measured there. She doesn't fare well when she is hit, however, as she is rather frail.
Endurance: Average. She can continue flying around for a good amount of time before tiring out, and even then she only needs a place to perch on to rest.
Willpower: Low. Harpia hasn't gotten used to being ordered around yet so when Jensen isn't exerting any sort of power over her, she's likely to not follow his orders.
Speed: Above Average. She is pretty fast when in the air - going around speeds of an eagle in flight. On the land, not so much. She tends to trip herself up or fumble around.
Reaction Speed: Average.
Strengths of Ability: Summoners use creatures to fight for them - hence they are mostly out of the way of fighting. Runic Summoners also can quickly summon their creatures so it takes less time than normal.
Weaknesses of Ability: Despite what he acts like, summoning creatures is tiring so he needs to not do much for a certain amount of time after he has summoned something. And he can't just summon every single creature without feeling the effects. When he summons one creature, he doesn't feel any adverse effects as it continues to be there. When he has three creatures out all at the same time, though, this means that he's going to feel the effects of continuously feeding them energy and will weaken him resulting in him only being able to stand around as they fight. It should be noted that Runic Summoners also hear their summons' voices in his head even when they aren't out, which is mildly disorienting. But when they start picking up agitation, it becomes more and more apparent and he begins to have splitting headaches. There is also a chance for the user to suddenly collapse when things get too intense with their spirits - especially when the user is mentally weak at some point and a spirit might take over.
Limitations of Ability: While technically his ability will only grow from there, Jensen can only develop it further by meeting any creature or spirit out there that can be contracted which is far in between. For a Runic Summoner such as himself, it is extra harder because each summon must consent to making a contract with another summon - and the more you have, the more difficult it becomes.

Reports have shown what seems to be a young teen among the ranks of the newly formed New Breed association - London Hero Association (or whatever it shall be called). This group has already been the subject of many controversies but this has been a spot of concern for the masses as they are sending children into a danger zone. The teen has this to say for an interview. "I'm not being forced into doing this," the teen claimed. "I just want to help out however I can." Before being questioned further, the older members of the association had taken the teen away.
Jensen let out a sigh as the crisis was averted. It was just a simple mission that he undertook. Just catching some criminal gang who planned on robbing this small jewelry store. It was just a few gang members and the others were focused on taking down the main HQ, so they didn't worry much about it. The young teen had already dismissed Brolvakig and was planning on leaving, but then he was stopped by a reporter lady.
"Excuse me!" She called out and he turned around - unable to resist the temptation of helping someone out.
"Is there a problem miss?" Jensen questioned, adjusting his mask so it didn't fall off suddenly while speaking to this person.
"Do you have a minute for an interview? It won't take long I promise." She promised. Jensen now recognized her as Miss Cassandra Vall, a reporter on that one news channel. Oh no... he was pretty sure he wasn't supposed to do publicity stunts. Was Angelica going to be angry because of this?
Jensen nodded. "Uh, yeah, sure."
"Excellent!" Cassandra exclaimed as she clapped her hand together before beckoning the cameraman to come over with the already rolling camera. "Well then, we have one of our new heroes here!" She then turned to him. "What's your name?"
"People just call me Summoner, really." He said with a shrug.
"Well then Summoner." Cassandra started. "How old are you?"
He shook his head. "Can't answer that. But I'm in my... uh, early teens?"
"Rather young aren't you?" She pointed out. "How long have you been in SYNBAD? And what made you join?"
"I've been with them since the beginning!" He cheerily replied. Jensen then readjusted his mask again. "And I guess it's because they're fellow New Breeds, you know? After Miss Angelica gave us some funding, my friends actually had something else to do and not hide."
"So that's why we haven't been seeing you all that much. Your kind, I mean." She mused. "Anyway, how does your power work?"
"It's... uh, magic."
"Magic."
"Yes." Jensen replied. "It's actual magic. Summoning magic, to be specific. I make contracts with spirits and they fight for me." He explained.
"Oh, is that so?" She seemed skeptical, but after everything, well, it was understandable. "Can we see one of them?"
Jensen nodded. He ran a finger down his upper right arm and it began to glow. "Time to come out Alyssa." He said out loud and a bright glow appeared near them. Then out came the fae-like creature. The camera zoomed in on it as it emerged out of the bright light.
Alyssa flew around and then noticed the reporter and cameraman. Ignoring them pointedly, she sat down on Jensen's shoulder. He leaned over to her and then nodded. "Do you have any other questions? I have... homework to do."
"You go to school?"
"Of course!" He replied. "Anything else?" He questioned with a curious tilt of his head.
She shook her head. "Well, if you need to do your work, then go ahead. I'd like to see you in action more, Summoner."
"I'll be sure to stick around longer if I can!"
Jensen waved and then left.
What seemed to be a large bear-like monster sped through the camera and barrelled into the street. Members of the SYNBAD were corralling the monster into a less populated place. The camera was very shaky as the cameraman followed the action - the man unafraid.
"Oh shit!" Someone behind the cameraman called out as debris began falling down towards some bystanders who hadn't gotten away yet.
"Taurus!"
Taurus rushed out and then held his hands out and then managed to keep the debris above him. Jensen rushed in and then carried those who were too slow to run - like children - and ushered the others out of the way.
It seemed that Jensen was on support duty this time as the other members went around to take down the monster.
"Taurus, over there!" The camera panned out to show the humanoid bull throwing the debris at the monster and then rushing out to carry a bunch of civilians out of the way of the battle.
Jensen ducked down down when the monster threw a chunk of concrete at their general direction. He then shook his head and then continued on.
Minutes later, the battle died down and the members started to reign the monster. Jensen dismissed Taurus and let out a tired sigh and the leader gave him some instructions that couldn't be heard over the audio.
Jensen began checking up on everyone along with some others. He broke off when he saw the cameras pointed at them and he gave them a smile and a wave of his hand.
"Summoner?"
Jensen looked back to see Cassandra there. She definitely looked older than the last time they talked which was a few years ago. He grew bigger too and changed his overall style - more tattoos on his right arm. "Miss Cassandra!" He exclaimed and he bounced over to her. "How have you been?" He asked.
"I've been good. I'm sorry I haven't kept up the interviews." Cassandra said. "I kind of left the journalism business soon after we met. You've grown."
Jensen grinned. "It's fine." He then shook her hand. "So, what are you doing now?"
"Side jobs, not important." Cassandra said with a smile and a shrug. "That was pretty cool earlier. You got so much better."
"Thanks! I've been training after all. I got up two tiers since we last met!" Jensen exclaimed.
"That's good." She seemed to understand more about the New Breeds now. "You should- are you alright?"
Jensen was gripping his head and shook his head like he was trying to get his head off something. "Yeah, I just..." He muttered and held his hand up. "I need to go. I'm sorry. Until next time Miss Cassandra."
He then ran away towards the group and the video cut off there.

"Hey there guys!" A young woman appeared on the camera. She seemed to be in her house and in just a normal recording area. "My loyal fans, do I have a surprise for you!" She exclaimed. "I know you guys like heroes and I actually got in touch with one of them from SYNBAD!"
She looked at the laptop near her. "No, it's not Myles. I'm not that good."
There was a chuckle from behind the camera. "Sorry to disappoint!"
"No, no, they don't mean that!" She said, looking over the camera. "Right guys?" She then looked over to the chat again. "Well, they're just wondering who you are."
"Then tell them!"
"Fine, fine!" She clapped her hands together. "Guys, I want you to welcome The Summoner." She stuck her tongue out. "Dang, I still don't like that superhero names of yours."
Jensen appeared in the camera's view - mask and costume and everything. "Well sorry I couldn't think of anything when I started."
"Can't you change it?" She questioned.
"You obviously don't know how to hero Faye." He said with a joking shake of his head. He then turned to the camera. "Hi guys! Sorry I'm not Myles." He said with an apologetic bow of his head. "You guys are already interviewing him daily through his Snapgram, so it should be fine, right?"
"Yeah, he responds a lot already guys. We need to have some new perspective here." Faye said with an enthusiastic nod.
"I wouldn't... call myself a new perspective, but okay." Jensen chuckled nervously.
"Anyway, let's start!" Faye said. "So submit your questions to Summoner guys! Anything you want to know. It's basically his AMA video."
"Ask Me Anything huh?" Jensen asked as he leaned back on the sofa. "I can't answer everything since I need to keep my secret identity and everything."
Faye turned to the chat and her eyes lit up. "Okay, here we go!" She exclaimed and muttered something under her breath in Spanish.
"Language!"
She rolled her eyes. "Anyway, they're asking what our relationship is, first and foremost."
Jensen chuckled and waved his hand. "We met a few times before this. She always knows where the action is."
"Okay, that's exactly it. I managed to track him down and get him to take this interview. So you're welcome." Faye explained. "Next question! How old are you?"
"I'm a teen. Late teens." He replied.
"Do you go to school?"
"Yeah. I'm graduating soon."
"Do you have a girlfriend?" She asked, wriggling her eyebrows as she looked at him.
"I wish." Jensen replied without losing stride. "Unfortunately, the one who I wanted to ask out got asked out already so..." he shrugged.
"Aw." Faye patted his shoulder sympathetically. "Don't worry big guy, you'll find the one eventually."
He nudged her with his elbow. "Between you and me, I think my job's a bit dangerous don't you think?"
"Who doesn't like living at the edge of danger?" Faye winked and then looked back at the chat. She seemed to be scrolling past some questions. He looked over her shoulder.
"You have a vulgar audience." Jensen said with a light chuckle.
Faye's face flushed pink. "That's why I'm filtering the questions." She pointed out. "I have a few questions for you too."
"Oh? And what are those?"
"Is it hard fitting in your school even with powers?" She asked, looking at him curiously.
"Me? Yeah." He replied. "My power is easily hidden. If you can't see the tattoos, it wouldn't be a problem. The others though? Can't say the same. Some New Breeds look different and people give us a hard time."
"Have you seen them get bullied?" She asked.
He looked down, giving her a sad smile. "They don't even get a chance to go to school prior to SYNBAD being established. We're too afraid. I almost fell into that too if I didn't have a solid support system."
"It was quite the controversy when Miss Angelica Harper did this huh? The SYNBAD." Faye said. "What did you think about that?"
"I was happy. I already knew the people back then. We were a small group, and I loved the fact that they gave us a chance. I owe a lot to Miss Harper." Jensen looked up. "If it weren't for her, you guys wouldn't be talking to us like this."
"That is true." Faye placed a hand on his shoulder. "And I guess we can thank you for some pretty heroic deeds."
"You're welcome for that."
Faye looked back at the camera. "Hear that guys, you shouldn't isolate someone just because they're different." She reminded them. "You don't know, they might save your life some time in the future."
"We're just a lot more literal in that sense." Jensen said with a thumbs up.
She then grinned. "Now let's go back to the questions in the chat shall we?" She asked as she looked back at him.
"Oh yeah definitely."
The two continued on to answer a couple more questions and the live lasted for a grand total of an hour and a half. And so, while it was only one video, The Summoner got some exposure, but not a lot since the interviewer wasn't exactly the most famous either.
Quote: "You know, I think people should just really accept all of us. After all, haven't we established that we're all unique in our own ways? We're just... a bit more different. But in the end, we're all humans and we're all here to help each other."
Reputation: As a student, he was a pretty popular kid and he has a lot of connections and friends from all around. Since he stopped after high school, they're all worried about his wellbeing but he does assure them that he's in a good place. As a hero, he's often seen as the mysterious bad boy of the group and he's accumulated a small fan base because of his contrasting personality and appearance. He has a pretty good reputation among the people and the loyal followers of what SYNBAD does has followed him grow up as well. So anyone who has been following them knows him to be a pretty chill person.
Theme Song:
Others:
There are actual people who know his secret identity but they are very close friends whom he trusts and they haven't betrayed it yet.
He actually does have a girlfriend - who also got the personal interview to also spread awareness for New Breeds and the likes. She's known his secret identity for years prior to them dating and continues to actively support him and the organization. Her name is Faye Carvajal - Half-Spanish, Half-American.
Also as a soon to be member of this RP, I promise to stay for as long as this RP lives; to put effort into writing with a dash of creativity; to communicate with the GM and to everyone should the need arise to avoid misunderstandings; and to alert everyone if life decides to punch me in the face and call me names should that ever interfere with my activity on this RP.
Barristris nodded slowly as Rogue Bat told her of the presence of the eagle-themed hero at the rooftop. Good. Good. While she felt absolutely no remorse with dealing with innocent lives, she'd much rather face them now than later. They were, after all, her main source of anger and resentment. She tapped her foot onto the ground as she waited for them to appear before her.
That was when one of her bottles was shot out of its trajectory. A smile appeared on her face as she prepared yet another bottle. "Well now, let's go." She then looked up at where the eagle boy was and then threw the bottle towards his position. She then disappeared into one of the cafes in the area. Furrita arrived at the same by the time the villain had already disappeared. However, she didn't exactly have a visual on her companions. She was on the ground, after all. "So where exactly is the villain? I'd rather have this over sooner than later."
She was not going to miss Math period.
Not only will it tarnish her perfectly clean record, but it'd also mean she'd miss an hour of class. Jess wasn't exactly the type of person who would write down notes for her or for others, and Alex was not taking her chances.
Emblem: She has a ring with a purple gem that serves as her emblem. Originally, she wore it on her right index finger. After her fall, she began to wear it as a necklace and is usually hidden from sight as it is often seen under her shirt.
Devil Arm: Once upon a time, the sound of the silver and gold guns popping was music to the civilian's ears. It meant safety and cover. Now, the blasting sounds coming from the singular tainted gun sounds the incoming destruction. The dual pistols have become one and a knife as the others' substitute. The knife can elongate itself to a full sword, but that is only for emergencies. The pistol shoots out dark purple balls of energy that is as destructive, if not a bit more, than a regular bullet. Though she is able to charge the pistol up so that it can release a devastating beam of energy.
Magic: Ah, how she remembered when the psychic whips she could create could merely constrict rather than harm. Now, however, it only brings destruction to anything it touches. Lightning aids these whips to destroy; the crackling of lightning and the smell of ozone always spelled danger - and hers was no different.
Background:Perhaps, it would be easier to understand how she came to be if you understood just how close she was to her twin. Alex would have done near everything, even give her life, to save her own sister. Alex knew that her sister would have done the same for her. Perhaps you would find it funnier if you also knew that the two were born rich - with a gold spoon in their mouths. They were born lucky, and they wholeheartedly accepted it.
The McVanovich family were international businessmen and for that particular moment, they lived in Japan. They had decided to open up a branch of their business there as well. They just decided that maybe Japan would be a good place to continue their business, and it was a good decision. They were accepted quite easily too, which was surprising but at least they didn't have much trouble.
When the chance to become a magical girl appeared to her, Alex had accepted it without question. One thing about the deal was that there was no exchange. The cat with a TV for a head had offered her anything she wanted, and she turned it down - she only wanted the power. Given her androgynous appearance and cool nature, she was hailed as the Noble Prince.
But something snapped one day, when she recieved word that her sister was killed in a mass shooting. By a human. But Alex didn't wish vengeance upon the human. What she wanted was more power. She couldn't protect her sister. She couldn't protect one of the most important people to her so she needed that kind of power. A forbidden power.
Three days after the event, she absorbed a Nightmare instead of killing it. Then it all spiraled down as she continued on without stop. It was the day everyoen realized that the only thing stopping her from obtaining more power before was her sister. And without that limitation, she went all out.
Greed was now her driving force.
Inventory: Alex carries around a picture of her entire family. She also carries around a necklace with a small knife on it. She often hangs it around a belt hoop on her right side.
Sample Post:
In a town not too far away from Miso City was a Dark Magical Girl on the hunt. Taking in a deep breath, the Fallen Prince leaned back on the wrecked building. Nightmares had always been easy for her to defeat - though these were particularly small. Weak. She didn't get too much from them. And honestly, this was just her having fun by now. Going on hunts were always fun. She could hear the telltale signs of the Nightmare sneaking up on her from behind.
A smile wormed its way to her mouth as she jumped over the barrier separating her and then Nightmare. The strange black blob turned its mask upwards - tracking her. She winked at it before aiming her gun straight at its mask and pulled the trigger. A dark pruple plasma ball shot out and impacted the Nightmare. A sharp shriek echoed throughout the night as it disappeared. Okay, that makes eight. Eight out of eight, not one of them even tried to escape.
She heard footsteps approaching from the other side of the fallen building. Faster than she could think, she moved for the kill - her knife going straight for the throat of whatever poor sod dared enter her hunting space. But she stopped shy centimeters away from the intruder's neck.
"As expected from the Fallen Prince, always so greedy when it comes to hunting spaces." The girl's voice cooed. She placed two fingers against the knife but made no attempt to turn it away.
"If you wanted to form a team, Heartbreaker, you only needed to ask." Alex said with a shrug, placing her weapons into their sheathed forms. She waved her hand dismissively and then walked away.
The pink haired girl giggled. "Teamwork? Always so close to being those goody two shoes."
"Good or bad, teams make it easier." She pointed out. Alex placed a hand on Heartbreaker's shoulder. "I do love teams. But you know me better..." She then looked at the girl with expecting eyes - trying to see what she could come up with.
She placed a finger on her chin and a smirk formed on her face. "Let me guess, you don't like sharing... do you?"
"That's my girl."
Alex patted the other witch's head. She leaned in close and whispered something to her. The girl's eyes widened and a sadistic smile spread on her face. The blond leaned away and then patted her shoulder. "Good luck friend." She then walked away from the previously love-themed magical girl.
The night was young, but Alex had already finished her hunt. It was time to head back home. She began to whistle as she de-transformed from her magical girl state. It wasn't like this night was special. Sneaking back into her apartment with little to no grime at all from her entire escapade. She turned her head to the picture of her sister.
"Tomorrow is another day, isn't it, Erina?"
Other: What happened to the McVanovich family after Alex's fall is unknown - and she does not talk about it. But she is honest when she tells everyone that she did not kill them.
Gabriel took care not to slip and fall and end his trip right there - though through the others' eyes, it seemed like he was tthe most reckless person on the world right now. His steps had a sort of skip to them as they descended the stairs and eventually came upon a room. He scanned the room quickly. A burial site... though that much was obvious since this was a catacomb. If there wasn't a single dead body here, then it was a cause for alarm.
What did set off him off was the fact that there was a fresh pool of blood beneath their feet once they got off the staircase. That meant someone or something was in here before them, and he doubted they went out. Gabriel walked forward and looked towards each hallway. So, water or air... but they didn't exactly know which one was where. Hey, maybe it came from the same cave right? Though that was certainly unlikely.
Jack had lit another torch and asked them whether or not they should split up. "I'm not exactly fond of splitting up." Gabriel said honestly. The last thing he wanted was having a small group split up into smaller groups. But it is true that they would cover more ground that way. He rubbed his chin as he thought about the subject. It was a matter of should they or should they not? The pros and cons were rather equal in his eyes, taking away personal safety of course.
"Well, how about you guys?" He turned to Devlin and Ren. While Gabriel does feel more comfortable with more numbers, he wasn't about to push his own opinions onto the two who they really haven't truly met before. He couldn't even get a read on them properly anyway so he'll learn more about them through this. "You guys want to stick together or just split up and see what we can find?"
Rocko? Hiroko had little time to process the nickname given to her before Kaito started to tell her that he might have superpowers. Normally, this would be the time Hiroko started scolding him for jumping to conclusions too quickly. However, one look at the man's less than impressive body told her that he actually wouldn't be able to lift all those without breaking a sweat.
And yet there he was, carrying them without breaking a sweat.
"Superpowers or no, let's just get back." Hiroko replied with a dismissive tone. As much as she wanted to believe something completely impossible, the logical part of her mind just wasn't agreeing wiht it. And if it doesn't agree, then Hiroko doesn't follow with it.
She followed him back to the shrine. At least it didn't look like anything was going to attack them. Which was good, since she had nothing to protect herself with aside from a small lighter. She'd be way more at ease if she had a knife... or a bow or something.
"And Kaito..." She called out before stopping herself. Should she continue to entertain the idea of superpowers since that's what was making Kaito happy and energized? It was ideal, but continuing to entertain it if it wasn't true might not be good for them in the future. But still. "If we did get superpowers, then at least we have some way to survive this forest."
