Bio

Welcome to my Bio, random person. Yeah, my name is pretty redundant (Polaris - North Star, North... well north.)

Things you need to know about me?

I live in the Philippines. I'm a student and life gets a bit hectic so please understand if I suddenly become more sporadic when it comes to replies.

I'm involved in a lot of fandoms (mostly anime) and as long as it gets my interest, I'll join. My range is from free to casual [or well, as long as I can get it from the post I'm replying to]. I'm more of a fantasy kid than a slice of life but I think I can join something like that. I'm not much of a romance writer so I keep myself to PG-13 and not exceed anything else.

"Pass! I may know some things, but I'm not an expert at riddles!" Poyzz said cheerily. Being one of the kwamis who prefer scholastic masters instead of simply fighters (even if he had no choice in the matter), he was indeed well educated. Now if only he could use it in more mundane situations instead of it being useless knowledge thrown around as a sort of 'fun fact' to others. Truly, the ferret kwami could have done better in terms of what he reads and remembers.

Poyzz waved at the others. "See you guys when I see you!" He cheerily replied even though the others just seemed to go with their respective owners.

Alex was rather pleased to see that Bella had gotten the silent question, and accepted the walk home. She appreciated the familiar presence of someone else even if she didn't mind being alone. "Yeah." She replied. Neither of them seemed like the conversational bunch which left them at quite the pickle of simply being in silence, even thought Alex didn't mind as much. She had grown used to just listening while Jess blabbed on about the latest gossip, fashion trend or whatever else.

Poyzz squirmed out of her jacket, peering out from the collar of it. It wasn't too suspicious. "So, Bella, how did you come across Hoppi?" He decided to ask, placing his elbows on the collar of Alex's jacket.
Raviel Husk

Raviel eyed the clones as they charged forward and he quickly lost track of his opponent. He cursed under his breath and prepared his stance. They charged at him all at once and he did not know where he should strike. But he sure as hell knew that he shouldn't get hit by anything. They may be clones but who knows where Seleth was, and he did not want her to get the first hit in. He swept his staff around him in an attempt to stave them off.

Raviel teleported away from the center of that mess, so that he wouldn't get hit but he wasn't exactly sure if one of the clones managed to hit him. He managed to get a good distance between them and then muled over on how to tackle this certain problem. He was never good against group-to-one battles.

Faye Nisval

Faye's ear twitched when she heard the armored man call out that he had heard something and the clambering of feet towards them. She muttered a curse under her breath as she began to weave wind magic between her fingers. The beastkin didn't turn to Enishi when he asked about surveying from another viewpoint. "Go. Quickly." She silently said and then urged Tibrus to crawl backwards. She then pressed her hand onto the wall beside them so that it would activate once the guards exited. It was to mute the sound from inside so she could take the two that were headed towards them.

Once they rune was activated, she would cast a magic that would pull the two towards them. It was time to get up close and personal now. She didn't know how well they could fight but she wanted to get this over with and there was no way they could conceal themselves. Even her runes cannot turn them invisible. She just hoped Tibrus would also have some form of attacking other people, or at least to defend himself.

Marvin had trained his rifle at the winged deathclaw abomination. He could confidently say that he hasn't been this terrified in a while. It was so big and so close that it wouldn't even allow him to run away even if he wanted to. And if it had the makings of a Deathclaw, then its only weakness is at its unarmored belly and he couldn't shoot it at this angle. He felt his heart hammer against his chest and each momemnt seemed like a century. Every click nearly made him pull the trigger, but he managed to stay his hand. His will to survive was greater than his fear, at the very least.

He couldn't even take a look at where the others were aside from John. It would mean that he need to swivel his gaze away from the monstrosity. He just hoped they were all safe and calm and not freaking out.

Emil, he remembered the voice, had spoken over the radio which caught the attention of the monster. Once more, Marvin had his finger over the trigger, ready to pounce. But then things exploded into motion faster than Marvin could have anticipated, and he wished things had gone over differently.

Someone had thrown a rock that echoed against the walls, skipping down the steps deeper into the subway. The winged deathclaw turned its head towards the sound but then someone, foolishly, decided to freak out and then yelled at the top of his lungs. The mercenary began to run and dodge and hope for the best, it would seem. Marvin felt inclined to help him, but his head screamed for him to stop, so he did not. Besides, Khaliya's order was clear. He just kept the rifle at the beast should it turn its attention to any of them. To his surprise, none of his fellow Talon Mercs even moved an inch to help their panicking companion.

He stifled a surprised yelp when a wing came crashing down close to them - too close. If they weren't going to get killed directly, then they surely would seem like collateral damage by this point. But, the deatchlaw persisted on hunting down the mercenary and then it let out this... screech. It was powerful enough to push him back, a soft thud against the wall he was already pressed to, but it certainly made it clear that this winged deathclaw had more arsenal than they thought it did.

A scream. And then nothing.

He watched as the beast crushed the merc's head. It then let out soft clicks once more, but this one wasn't used for hunting them down, it would seem. It sounded like it was communicating. Two more thuds and then two more beasts of the same size and monstrous appearance came down. They seemed to argue for a while before they lifted off wherever, dragging the body of the Talon Merc with them. Marvin had watched a lot of people get eaten with him not doing anything. This wasn't any different. One less person to worry about, he figured. The smaller the group, the easier it is to maneuver around.

Marvin let out a sigh when the Latin person from earlier rose up to... who knows what he's doing. Perhaps it was a tradition from where he came from. "And here I thought I've seen everything this world could throw." He grumbled under his breath. As the person who had lived for the longest time out of all of them, he felt like he had some form of understanding with the wasteland. That was not the case at all and he felt cheated. His eyes trailed to the blood once more, the shimmer of the denarius catching his attention. Poor boy, taken by such a swift encounter.

He looked towards Frankie, silently asking if she was alright, and then to John, to see if the guy was still standing. Marvin, himself, was completely fine. He was more worried about their suits than them being injured. Such fragile things, those suits were. It only took a sharp rock or some glass to tear through it. Marvin couldn't imagine how they felt about their suits. Duct tape did the work of mending it, but still.

At Khaliya's order, he began to head up as well. "Better keep quiet too." He said over the comms, as if it wasn't an obvious thing to keep in mind. "Winged deatchlaws... wonder what's next?" He continued to speak as he went up the stairs behind Servius. Indeed, Marvin wondered what would happen to them now. Evidently, the wasteland was not kind to them.
'Eyo still here. Still interested.
Raviel Husk

It was well and good that the man did not make any more moves and Raviel bowed out of the scene, leaving the two odd people to their own devices. It wasn't like sore losers didn't exist so he wasn't particularly worried. He had to get his body fixed up properly. He was pretty bruised and battered and he wanted to feel good for the next match. So he went out to look for their doctor in Seraph Academy, explained why he was like this and got healed up - and then reminded that he should be careful next time. He obliged.

The rest of the day passed by with nothing interesting happening.

Raviel walked up to the practice hall to see who his opponent was going to be, and his heart dropped at the sight of Seleth on the other side. Oh. Great. He was hoping that maybe he could have a fighting chance, but then again, right off the bat with the first match, he wasn't very lucky. Well, he'll have to see how this one will go. He was luckier last year, at the very least. Maybe next year then. He gave her a lazy wave as they were being introduced.

"It was ninety percent luck anyway." Raviel said with a small shrug before getting into position, putting two blessings on him. Enhanced Durability and Enhanced Magical Resistance. "For your skill, I had no doubt you would advance to the next round." It was good that Seleth decided to talk first instead of charge straight into the fight. He had ample time to prepare. "Ha! You were always good with illusions and the likes." He whistled before clapping his hands and opening them - his conjured bo staff appearing and he took hold of it. He waited for her next move to see what she'll do. He tried to keep track of where the real Seleth was based on her positioning earlier. He wondered if he could sniff her down.

Faye Nisval

Faye followed Tibrus and took a peek as well. Boxes, chemistry stations - it was like they were making something big and shipping them out. She couldn't see the ingridients that were laid out, which would have been useful, which also meant that they needed to get a closer look. Her eyes trailed to the man giving out orders. His armor was definitely something and she wouldn't be surprised if it had been enhanced to resist magic as well.

She internally groaned at his joke though. Good armor. Maybe good fighting skill. Not so much mature thinking, that was for sure.

She crouhed down with Tibrus and then waited for his orders. It seemed to be a brighter idea to talk with him first as he seemed to be the smarter one - the 'planner' - in the group. While he isn't versatile in magic, he had the brains to make up for it. "Understood." She said with a nod but waited for when Enishi would release his familiars, actually curious as to how he'll be able to do it.

"Yep. I know what I'm talking about, Mr. Human." Marvin replied with a soft hum in his voice, obviously pleased that he wasn't referred to by name and only by species. He did find it interesting that at least they still kept their sense of humor. The last thing they needed was morale at an all time low since they're too tense. He knows that death might be lurking at any corner around here, but he wasn't going to let that get him down. It's dangerous to live so down all the time since it would lead to more accidents or maybe there's going to be a lack of self-preservation.

It seems that most of them were in agreement with using the bank as their fortified position. Marvin nodded to himself, glad that everything was going smoothly. Aside from the Power Armor Ghoul from earlier, things seemed to be going their way. Someone had been dishing out orders that wasn't Khaliya which made him look unsurely at the person. Perhaps he was used in a posiiton of power within a certain group? It sounded possible since he slid into it so naturally. How interesting. He spoke in another language too, just like the woman from earlier. Latin, right?

He was about to ask what they should do next - a more solid plan that just to run - when someone bolted out of the area making it a contest to get there first. It all seemed to happen all too slow to him. "Wait - no - I wasn't... fucking great..." He grumbled to himself as he shook his head.

"He's the demolition expert. I'd rather not lose him." Marvin admitted in the open channel to everyone who was betting against him. Honestly, he didn't want any of them to die yet. It was too early into the mission. He knew that most, if not all, of them knew how to cope with the death of a comrade, but it still brought him down. And, well, part of the reason is that the guy had most of their explosives and Marvin was pretty sure that he would be useful sooner or later. He'd rather not lose someone who might be important.

He was surprised how quickly Khaliya burst into a run. The ghoul had gaped at it for a moment before turning and then walking towards the area up, but stopped when he heard the thudding Khaliya made stopped. When Khaliya's voice went through the comms to tell them to make themselves a small a target as possible, Marvin immediately grabbed Frankie by her arm and then pulled her to a wall and then tried to catch John's gaze so that they could stick together. Perhaps it was because they were the first people who he had talked to or perhaps it was because he felt a connection to them - but they were the only ones who ran through his mind aside from the leader herself.

He slid down to a crouch and pressed himself against the wall, his rifle ready in his hands. Marvin hadn't seen what exactly the monster was but if Khaliya sounded that worried, then he was pretty damn sure that the monster was more than just a small problem. "Just fucking great..." He mumbled to himself as silently as he could but it could have been picked up by the radio by accident, though even then, it sounded very silent. He brought the rifle close to his face so that he would be prepared to shoot, even if he doubted his rifle would be able to do much harm. At least it would pack more of a punch than a mere pistol.

Raviel flinched when the student went on to bite his ear and then punch him square on his face. Raviel was surprised when it didn't stop there as he landed on his back and the student began to continue to punch him just like he did with the earlier guy. But Raviel managed to put his hands up to deflect the punches so they wouldn't hurt him too much. He couldn't even cast a spell to teleport himself to safety thanks to the relentless attack.

Though it would seem that the mysterious stranger had attacked the student and so Raviel used the chance to teleport out to safety. He held his ear which had been bleeding and then staggered backwards. This was one crazy student. He wondered what came over the student, but he wanted nothing to do with it further. So he had teleported himself to a closeby hiding area so that he could take a breather. But he kept an eye on where the student is in fear that he may attack civilians.

Faye Nisval

Faye followed the three, though she seemed to be walking down memory lane instead of simply following them. Oh dear Aylama, it had been such a long time since she's walked down these streets. Shops she had known to be there have disappeared - closed down years before. She wondered for how long. The fox stopped close to the warehouse when Tibrus pointed to the path.

"This will be our communications in case we get separated." Faye explained as she took the three metal spheres and then rubbed them between her two palms and then closed her eyes. She muttered an incantation and a dull blue light emanated from her palms but it was covered by her hands so they wouldn't be spotted.

When she opened her hands, the metal spheres corresponded to each color - blue, green and yellow. She handed the blue to Enishi, green to Tibrus, and she kept the yellow one to herself. "Just tap them and speak. It will magically send your words to the mind of the other two." She then fitted the sphere onto her ear.

"I can muffle your boots, but I can't do much else." She said with an apologizing tone. Faye bent down and then began to write runes onto their boots and muttered her incantation. She then stood up again, not even bothering to do so on her own shoes as she found no need for it.
"The truth, right?" Poyzz replied to Osaar though he didn't seem too sure. It looks like years of being contained in some jewelry with no one to talk about has dulled the ferret's mind. It's always happened. He then graviated over to Beek to watch him, though he doesn't seem very interested in it.

Alex soon came over after cleaning the lockers though she saw Bella sprinting to the stairs after they were dismissed. She gave the others a nod and giving Brian a quick dismissive wave so that he would go on ahead. He gave her a suspicious look before agreeing to leave first. She got another message from Jess about her being angry that Alex left without Brian again... which led Alex to wonder if Brian messaged Jess about it, or if Jess was waiting outside - and was absolutely serious about waiting for her earlier.

She shook her head and sighed, but she had a small smile on her face as she messaged Jess back. Once she was done with texting her, she slid her phone inside her jacket's pocket and then reached the staircase where the kwami were hanging around. Before she even reached the top of the steps, Poyzz had already zoomed forward and clung to her jacket. He grinned up at her. "Had fun?"

Poyzz sat down on her shoulder. "Yup!"

Alex nodded her head in approval and then turned to the others. "I'm going to head off now. Not sure what'll happen if I get home late after our last escapade." She told them but didn't disclose any more information about her past. Her gaze lingered on Bella for a second longer as if asking whether or not she wanted to come or not.

Marvin watched as another person gave a submachine gun to the gunless girl - a way better option than a mere pistol. He holsted back his secondary weapon, or was it tertiary consdidering he was keeping it around just in case both his rifle and his revolver lost bullets? Ah whatever. He then stuck around the group with his hand on the strap of his rifle, now finding it completely pointless to continue pointing at a passage where the supposed monster was at. Emil went on to describe the monster they had encountered.

Oh. His eyes quickly flickered to the two Brotherhood Paladins in their vicinity. Of course, he couldn't see their faces thanks to their helmets but he was sure that at least one of them was disgruntled by this fact. And indeed, there was one of them who reacted violently - wanting to kill it right here and now. Of course. The Brotherhood-Enclave War had happened quite a few years ago, but he had no doubts that it was still etched on any Paladin. Khaliya, however, took control over the situation by speaking to her partner in a private channel.

A smile tugged up on his face as Frankie found a tear in Emil's suit. "Oh come on, being a ghoul ain't half bad." He commented in a joking manner before scratching the side of his cheek. "That is if you don't turn feral." He let out a lighthearted laugh, as if the prospect didn't scare him. Well, it really didn't. He's seen enough humans turn feral after a breach like that happened. Though, he didn't want to lose any allies over something as stupid as radiation.

The ghoul then looked away from their leader when she and her partner had stopped their little argument. Really, he wasn't holding it against Paladin Bertrand for having a grudge against the Enclave ghoul monster. It was just human. They were all humans. Grudges are kept for a long time. The ghoul had learned to let go of grudges that span from way back, but that's only because he was confident he outlived his problems. For the humans, however, their lives are still short. Memories are still fresh. Being hurt is unforgivable, and in this world, being hurt is normal.

Khaliya went on to order them to go top side - above ground. Marvin made it quite clear from his face that he didn't like it, but there was no choice so he didn't voice his displeasure. As the group started to move, he took his rifle into his hands once again and ran up close to the front of the group - close to their leader - just like his position from earlier. But he was closer to Khaliya this time, just in case the woman needed to take a look at the map once again or just wanted to bounce some ideas off of. He still wasn't perfectly fine with having her around, but she proved to be quite levelheaded.

The radio buzzed to life as Prism voiced her observation and suggestion and Khaliya was inclined to agree, no doubt thinking of the same thing. Huh, a Talon Company Merc and a Broterhood Paladin agreeing? Never thought he'd see the day. He looked back at the others for a moment, to assess how they were moving. They still seemed alright, despite it nearing nighttime. He wondered who would take the first shifts. They couldn't possibly sleep all at the same time, unless they want their supplies stolen or throats slit. The ghoul stopped when Khaliya signalled for them to stop as they looked up at the stairs. Figuring that his rifle would do more harm than good, he unholstered his revolver and began to proceed slowly forward to the lobby.

He made a quick sweep of the area with the others. He hadn't disturbed anything, at the very least. He looked at the skeletons and pursed his lips. How many had died during the bombing? And how many died after? Marvin could have easily became a lump of bones for people to feel sorry for, buth e was right here. Despite all odds, he was here. He let a sigh escape his lips as he turned to Khaliya who had checked a terminal for any information. She had found a bank, a main branch at that, so Marvin saw why it would have been fortified.

"Sounds like a grand place." He commented as he holstered his revolver and brought his rifle back up. Marvin turned to the stairs that led to the surface where rain was pouring. "So long as you guys can take off your suits. I don't think you'll be able to sleep, or even rest... or eat... with those on." Marvin wasn't worried about the location for him, but rather because of the rest of the group filled with humans. Like. They're too fragile. He can't really even remember the time when he was still human. It was such a distant memory that he felt that it was surreal.

"So, let's run there?" He suggested jokingly, knowing that they'd probably be moving slowly and surely. After all, what if that ghoul power armor monster wasn't the only thing like that? Or what if something was more dangerous than that. Marvin couldn't imagine it, but he was pretty sure it existed in this hellish landscape.
@TheWindel @KoL

Hey guys, I apologize for this but I think I need to bow out. Life's getting a bit hectic and I'm lagging behind as it is. I really am sorry about this but I'm not sure if I can find enough time now.
