Current Projects/Freelance work

  • I am a voice talent and script writer for Faerun History
  • I have a much smaller personal Youtube channel that I use to make videos on various subjects. Only been making videos for 2 years, but it's growing!
  • I'm the host of a Science Fiction & Fantasy Podcast where I interview authors of the genre.

Interests (Includes but is not limited to)

  • Writing/Reading (Love writing and I own too many books)
  • Video Games (Been a gamer for close to 23 years now)
  • Working Out/Martial Arts (Wing Chun/Oyama Karate mostly. Some historical swordplay as well.)
  • History (Military History is my specialty)
  • Zoology
  • Art (Mostly Illustrations. Used to be good. Am picking it back up)
  • Voice Acting/Singing
  • Tabletop Gaming (Started late in the game. Been at it for 3 years. I was the kid who bought the monster manuals and D&D books just for the lore for the longest time. I've played 3.5e, 5e, Star Wars D20, Edge of the Empire, PF, and PF2.)
  • Weaponry of all kinds
  • Anime (mostly action/shonen. DBZ & YYH being my favorites)
  • Movies (Action/War/Drama films being my go-to)
  • Music (Rock of all kinds, as well as historical folk songs, sea shanties, pub songs, a bit of classical music, etc)
  • Guitar (am learning to play, but being left handed makes it challenging)
  • There's more but if you care enough you can PM me :P

Roleplay F.A.Q.

  • Fantasy, Sci Fi, and Historical are my genres. Fantasy being my favorite and Sci Fi/Historical being close seconds.
  • Advanced / Nation / 1x1 / Casual (only in certain circumstances)
  • I generally write at the 'Advanced Level' meaning 4+ Paragraphs with good grammar.
  • I am usually busy with many projects and RPs, but if you wish to do a 1x1 with me, you'll need to present your case. Those I already do it with have my trust as a Roleplayer.
  • I love many, many fictional universes so me trying to list them all is an effort in futility!

"Ah, so little faith in me, huh?" He asked with a wink. He found his face almost rested with a grin as he spoke to her. She seemed to enjoy being playful as much as he, something he wouldn't have ever guessed he would experience with a Nord. "Oh, the Thalmor would love to conquer Hammerfell from what I hear. Oddly enough, Elves have a harder time in deserts than they do Tundras, though the word is they are having some trouble with your people as well."

Alim shifted, his back and hips stretching a bit, though his head lay unmoving, still watching Thyra as she pondered. "I know a few places we could go," he told her. "I've been in Cyrodiil for a few years, though it will be dangerous. Stick close to me and you'll be fine. I know how to sneak past a few unsavory characters. Then again, I'm certain you could take care of yourself. If we must, we can root them out. They would prey on the helpless after all." Alim might be a thief, but he wasn't a monster. He found killing travelers for their wares reprehensible.

As she began to ramble, he just gazed her as she gestured and spoke with dark eyes. "Well you've certainly thought this out," he replied, his voice low and smooth. "I agree wholeheartedly, my friend." He said, suddenly yanking himself up by the bars into a sitting position. He held one hand above his head, still gripping the bar. "Besides, danger comes with the territory of being a fugitive. As long as you don't mind bathing in a river and roughing it for a few nights, we'll be fine. Two prisoners like us won't be harassed to the border, I do not think."

He met her eyes, and it seemed to loosen him up somewhat. He smiled back and stared into his cup. "Sometimes I almost forget what it was like there," he admitted. It seemed so long ago, now. His life had been shoved into combat since he was recruited by the Bann into his service. Not that it was a terrible thing. He would have never met his truest friends otherwise, or Feri he supposed. "But not the memories. The memories always stay, you know?"

He let the words linger a bit. Gideon's panting was the only audible thing as he began to recount a few images in his head. "When I was little I'd help dad with making saddles. I'd help tan the leather and strip it into sizeable pieces. Sometimes men would let me ride their horses while they had business with my dad. They always thought I'd go too far, and one time I did. But that was just me not knowing how to ride a horse..."

He shrugged at the memory, almost looking sly while doing it. "I'd help my mom pick flowers and herbs for her work. She'd make medicine for the townspeople. And I'd beat up anyone messing with my siblings too, though not in front of my mom picking herbs...other than that one time. Well, it wasn't in front of her, but I did leave her to do it and she found out about it later when she wondered where I had went. I guess it was surprising to her that her son went from picking flowers to bashing someone's face in but..."
I cannot say I am familiar with what is going on here. The past few months I've been too busy with RPs and personal projects to check discord nearly as often as I used to. However, I was an Admin longer than most on Cynder's and MidnightHowl's RPGuild Discord server, and though I have no true hat in the race, I'm going to give some of my experiences so others might take note of them.

  • Unbeknownst to many, including the other admins, I was often approached by users who claimed to be banned unfairly, or a friend of theirs had been. I would get to the bottom of it, and petition one of the higher admins to reinstate the banned person. This happened far too often for my liking.
  • If someone ever messaged me, asking me for help on an issue, the first state of business I would conduct would be to speak to both parties and try to find an agreement on an issue. Unless of course one was clearly just being hateful and trollish to another. If that was impossible, then I would start reprimanding them. This was not how other admins worked, oddly enough. Let me be clear on this message. I am NOT referring to Hanks 'we are simply too busy to see all problems' quote. I am referring to admins who boot people, and claim they do not have 'time' to listen to this 'horseshit.' If you are a moderator or an admin, and you think to yourself 'I don't have time for this shit' then you need to either fucking make time or step down. You are here to give your time to the community. If listening to people's issues gets too time consuming/annoying to you, then people's issues do not get addressed. Your JOB is to address them.
  • Mob mentalities are less of a problem on a forum, but on discord it is a huge issue. I've seen at least four people, one in particular who was my friend, banned not because they did something wrong, but because of the mob. They would say something that others didn't like (perhaps these 'others' had problems with them on the forum prior), and then the group of people would goad them by annoying them and poking them, until the person made a mistake, and was banned for it. While I am not on the side of Admins having complete control, there are obvious reasons why they don't make decisions publicly. I've seen far too many witch hunts to ask the normal user on why this person should or should not be banned. However if they come to me, of course I will listen. It's my job after all.
  • Keep in mind that someone who has had various complains against them probably deserves to get banned before someone who makes a single questionable act. I do not know all that happened between j8cob and the discord, or who called for 'death of muslims.' But from what I know of j8cob, he has probably made many problems in the past. This could very easily have been the last straw, compared to this other person's racist comment (though I do think that a SERIOUS suggestion of threat against Muslims should be shut down immediately).

My main points here are, while I can agree with the people who have complaints here, many of them have also been complained about for similar things and we should all keep in mind that people make mistakes. It's an admin's, and indeed a community's prerogative, to talk them out between them, and be understanding of each other as well.
Us having kids would be cool because I LOVE Black Templars.
Cyrdic sat down on the couch, setting his things next to the side of the door beforehand. He rolled his neck, and let out a breath as he surveyed the room. It looked spartan enough, and it was good to know Ricardo took the danger he was in seriously. After he set himself down, he nearly sank into the old cushions from his completely lax stance, and the weight of his muscled bulk. He cleared his throat, and drew himself up at attention as Ricardo explained what the hell was going on.

He felt like he had followed most of what the man had said, the accent making it a tad hard at times. He could understand Camilla as easily as another Ostlander, but a man with such an accent was different for some reason. Still, he got the gist of it. Find this Marcellus Krolsh and find this very valuable insect looking instrument. He wondered if it was made of pure gold, or maybe had some ritualistic significance. He knew Norscans wielded staffs with bone on them for purposes like that.

"Seems easy enough," He said, hoping to appear casual. He honest felt a tad stupid around the two of them. Not because they'd shown any articulate or profound insights that he wouldn't think of. But he was not used to politics or intrigue. If only there was a way to see this as a battlefield, he might get an idea...

The food that entered was very enticing. There was something about getting wounded that drew his appetite, and he gave Ricardo a nod as the man exited. Instead of food reaching his lips, Camilla's own did however. He blinked, and then drew her in further for a moment as he enjoyed it, before they parted.

"It does," he said humbly. "But I'll be ok. Especially after that kiss." His smile lit up his face, showing his teeth in a grin. Camilla's weight shifted under the old cushions, causing her to press against him lightly, which meant his shoulder was pressed into. Needless to say he let out a breath of air through clenched teeth, though he tried to hide it. "Sigmar..." he said, and chuckled despite himself. "It's always something else isn't it?" He asked her, gesturing to the strange room they were in.

His eyes might have been more accustomed to the dark, but he could not see her face clearly. Instead, his hands behind his head, he decided to stare at the ceiling as they spoke. Her rough, yet honeyed voiced from the side made it seem as if she lay just next to him. It helped him imagine he wasn't locked in a cage like an animal, at least. He grinned at her comment of excitement. She must have quite the imagination if she was thinking of their daring escape so much. Most would be positively bored in these cells.

"In the grand scheme of things, not too far," he said with a hope. "Closer than Skyrim, at least. Perhaps when we escape, I take you there?" He said, shifting from within the folds of his tattered blanket. He would need to tell her that he wasn't exactly welcome back in his home city of Skaven anymore, but as the old saying goes in Hammerfell. 'A warrior takes everything as a challenge. The ordinary man takes everything as a blessing or a curse.'

Suddenly, he tensed very slightly, footsteps reaching his keen ears. He sat up on his elbow, listening as the very real sound of someone approaching came nearer. It was to his relief and...curiosity that an elder had sought to come by and relight the torch. He mumbled a facetious 'thank you' in his native Yoku language. At her comment at the keys, he shrugged his bare shoulders. "Aye, but that's life eh?" He said, a sly look on his face.

The young man ran a hand through his thick, dark hair. With a grunt, he pulled himself closer a bit. He rested his arms on the bars of his cage door, in turn resting his chin on his arm so he could simply watch her as she loosened her hair. "Now that sounds good to me. A soft place to sleep too. Perhaps if we find a knife or two I can dazzle you with a few tricks." He thought aloud. He gazed upwards as he thought. "I've not done it in awhile though..."

@InertiaMust be because I chose to play a magic-user. That never happens, and it must have killed it.
@Inertia Wow this was a year ago. I still miss it *voice cracks*
Cyrdic was an odd sight in the brothel, which was something he never thought he would experience. Both being in a brothel, and being the odd man in. Truth be told, many of his buddies from the southern regions had been in them, but his experiences in big cities were all before he had become a man. He'd only been with one or two girls and they'd essentially been short-term sweethearts (of course, the short term wasn't what he had intended). He'd never loved any like Camilla, though.

He kept himself upright, looking around him with a suspicious eye. It seemed other than Ricardo, no one in here had much in the way of rough living. Certainly they weren't all wealthy, but they seemed like well to do men. Buxom and slim women sashayed to and fro with trays of food and drink, giving honeyed words to the paying customers. A few whispered in men's ears, luring them behind closed doors to get an extra few coins out of the night.

Briefly Cyrdic remembered Camilla when she had been chaos induced, whispering into his ear and drawing him in with her words and touch. He was glad to sense no chaos taint here. Just women making their way in the world, and men desperate or gullible enough to take their time and pleasure if they had the coin.

Then again, if he had been born in a softer life he might see the appeal of it. Indeed a lot of his rougher friends had as well. He'd always been more preoccupied with not dying from an axe wound in the cold north.

Ricardo using this as a place to stay wasn't entirely stupid, and Cyrdic gave a nod to the women as she greeted him. "Cyrdic Becker," he said, his eyes shifting elsewhere when he saw the excaggerated movement of a particularly thick woman and a man waving a coin as if to tease her.

"Can I get you anything mine herr? Food? Drink... companionship?" she made a vague gesture at the bevy of attractive women and their conversation partners.

"Uh..." he began, clearing his throat and shaking his head vehemently. He stepped closer to Camilla, even drawing an arm around her. "We'll just have some food and water."
