I never notice someone's post count until I see (ignore post count) and then I totally look at it, out of habit and curiosity.

Current Projects/Freelance work

  • I am a voice talent and script writer for Faerun History
  • I have a much smaller personal Youtube channel that I use to make videos on various subjects. Only been making videos for 2 years, but it's growing!
  • I'm the host of a Science Fiction & Fantasy Podcast where I interview authors of the genre.

Interests (Includes but is not limited to)

  • Writing/Reading (Love writing and I own too many books)
  • Video Games (Been a gamer for close to 23 years now)
  • Working Out/Martial Arts (Wing Chun/Oyama Karate mostly. Some historical swordplay as well.)
  • History (Military History is my specialty)
  • Zoology
  • Art (Mostly Illustrations. Used to be good. Am picking it back up)
  • Voice Acting/Singing
  • Tabletop Gaming (Started late in the game. Been at it for 3 years. I was the kid who bought the monster manuals and D&D books just for the lore for the longest time. I've played 3.5e, 5e, Star Wars D20, Edge of the Empire, PF, and PF2.)
  • Weaponry of all kinds
  • Anime (mostly action/shonen. DBZ & YYH being my favorites)
  • Movies (Action/War/Drama films being my go-to)
  • Music (Rock of all kinds, as well as historical folk songs, sea shanties, pub songs, a bit of classical music, etc)
  • Guitar (am learning to play, but being left handed makes it challenging)
  • There's more but if you care enough you can PM me :P

Roleplay F.A.Q.

  • Fantasy, Sci Fi, and Historical are my genres. Fantasy being my favorite and Sci Fi/Historical being close seconds.
  • Advanced / Nation / 1x1 / Casual (only in certain circumstances)
  • I generally write at the 'Advanced Level' meaning 4+ Paragraphs with good grammar.
  • I am usually busy with many projects and RPs, but if you wish to do a 1x1 with me, you'll need to present your case. Those I already do it with have my trust as a Roleplayer.
  • I love many, many fictional universes so me trying to list them all is an effort in futility!

Orion had talked the halls with a dangerous look to his eye(s), thoughts on how Annika was feeling just behind the veil of his concerns on whether this was somehow a vast, elaborate trap. He trusted the Duke, but he had never been treated well by his soont-to-be-former Baron. It had on him edge, and since he was, Ragnar sensed it like a hound. Vuldroks were a strange people, but they had good instincts even if they were lacking in the forward thinking department. Luckily, even with his guard up he could tell no one around him had any inkling of bad faith on their part. Perhaps he was simply eager to see Annika, and he simply wished to not admit it. Pancreator knew that was likely the case.

They descended to the medical cells where they kept patients still healing, the lead guardsmen giving a curt nod to the Mother Superior, who would escort them the rest of the way. Of course it was only about a dozen meters, but honor and duty dictated they follow ceremonial protocol. She was a matronly woman with a wide, shoulder length cut of hair behind two cervic bars of plasteel material connected to an ornate stethoscope device with nearly a half a dozen other functions Orion was only tangentially aware of from when he was injured during his lifetime.

"Here we are." She declared, robotic and emotionless in her tone. She wooshed the fabric out of their way to present Annika, her back turned to the cage and looked well despite a faint palour in her demeanor. Orion noticed the Mother Superior's tone went from bland to disapproving when her eyes fell on a strange man in the area with Annika. Ragnar looked confused, and Orion's eyes suddenly erupted in wrath, blazing at the sight of someone who was clearly a stranger in an area of restricted access so close to Annika.

"And who might this be?" The Mother Superior asked warily, slim arms crossed before her robes. Orion's broad-bladed longsword was already six inches out of its sheath, eyes fixed on the thief. Clearly he was one of course, despite the suit. He had a way of looking with his eyes that showed he looked at every possible venue of both escape and advantage. Even if he didn't steal apples from a local market, he was corrupt in his disposition.

"Yes, who is this?" Orion asked, menace in his voice. Ragnar behind him smiled through his blonde beard, not quite understanding what was happening, but eager to torture someone or something.

Logan Christopher looked on edge, but not overly fearful. He looked to Annika and then to the cadre of people who were now threatening him, weighing his options. "I see I showed up at a bad time?" He asked the sister, keeping his hands where everyone could see them lest someone leap over and cleave him in two.
Kaiden had been a deck officer for most of his career, keeping the technical duties to his crew after making certain he had gained an understanding of their primary and secondary responsibilities in case anything had gone wrong. But this still was not his first jaunt in the void along the rigging. In fact his first exposure to open space had been aiding a bosun back during his cadet days, mere months before he had begun dating Sabatine, if memory served. He saw two figures out along the rigging and even after all these years, he recognized the way she moved just as easily as he had back then.

He recognized that tone too when her helmet pressed to his. He chose to ignore it, though he knew one of these days he would lose his temper if she kept it up. Oh and you're so mature, are you? He thought to himself. He'd seen her working on the rigging and thawing the frozen material from liftoff, and behind her Herculaneum was fast receding into the blackness of space. He did his best not to clear his throat, knowing how pompous he might sound.

"There's no problem unless you inform me there is." He relayed, knowing how testy it appeared coming out of his mouth. Jogging on, he continued. "Captain Micha informed me to come out here and help anyway I can, because Higgs is my man. I'm not here to step on toes, Sabbie." He almost hesitated before speaking, realizing he used his pet name for her he hadn't said aloud in years. The awkwardness was palpable. "I see you're about to insert the rigging and I'll follow your lead." Before adding. "That's an order."

At that moment, Higgs approached from the portside. He stepped like a professional, and Kaiden knew he had the skills to back it up. As the fellow pressed his helmet to theirs, Kaiden could see his broad face and once broken nose curled from his friendly smile.

"Good to have you here, Lieutenant." Higgs voice said, though of course he had heard none of the two officer's exchange previously. Even in such close contact with Sabatine, Kaiden couldn't help but give a sly grin. Higgs had always been one of his favorite subordinates. "With your permission, you two can get the rigging done. I still need to check the fore for secondary radiation. Herculaneum has a damn lot of shortwave radiation from the big red." Referring to the system's star, though of course that was just a nickname. It was still a healthy sun not yet formed into a giant. It had another two billion years before it became truly dangerous to anyone on the surface of the planet.

"Good man Higgs. The lieutenant and I were just about to suggest the same thing." He told him. After Higgs responded with an 'aye', the man treaded off to the fore of the ship. Kaiden looked Sabatine in the eye. "Lead me from where you left off and let's get this over with." He said.
@Penny I blame you
So, I had this inkling urge to play with people's lives like pawns. So I am making this interest check.

I'm looking for a small group of players who make unique characters with ambitious (or at least interesting) goals in this fantasy setting I have created for my novel writing. The player characters do not start out with one another, which is why I want it to be a small group. The setting itself is the Blackwood, a huge forest with ruins, danger, monsters, and walled townships you can explore. Think of this like a video game/tabletop done by text narrative. There will be an overarching plot, but it will be loose and much of the story will be based on your own choice. This will not be first come, first serve, and I will also not play favorites. I have to like your character.

Who's in?
I've been busy as of late, but you have my tentative interest :)
@Lauder if you would, post next please.
I will post within a few days. I've been extra busy
*cough*
