Hawkpaw continued her chatter towards Frostpaw. The young tom seemed to at least be warming up a little bit. He wasn't staring at the ground any longer, but he still hadn't looked in her direction or spoken in more than short sentences. "How long have you been an apprentice? This is my first time going to the Moonbrook, so I'm excited to see what it's like!" She frowned as she remembered a snippet of the conversation between Blackmoon and Dawnwing that she had overheard. That StarClan had stopped talking to them. "Has StarClan ever spoken to you?"

"Only a few moons." Frostpaw's voice was still quiet, "It's pretty, but the DuskClan cats always make me nervous." He looked a bit startled by her last question. "We're not really supposed to talk about our dreams, but no, I don't think they have."

If StarClan wasn't there to speak with them then how were new medicine cats supposed to get their names or learn about the prophecies that would protect the clans. It seemed so strange that one moment they were there and the next they were gone with no warning. The least they could've done was give a sign that they wouldn't be around. That would've stopped at least some of the doubt. "Well maybe they'll be here tonight! We won't know until we get there."

"It's hard to say how many of the warriors have lost faith. I can only hope our leadership holds onto it and your deputy finds it again." Dawnwing let a small smile cross her face at the talk and laughter behind her. "At least it hasn't severed the connections between us." She was pretty sure this was the most relaxed she'd seen members of other clans since the gathering. She nodded in agreement with Tigershine and let Dew-whisker take the lead through the marsh; mostly ignoring the wet dirt she could feel building up between her claws.

The odd, fleshy interior of the fruit, and somewhat overly sweet taste, quickly got tiresome so Eclipse pushed the rest of the of it to the side. He turned his full attention to Hummingbird, who was responding to Aardwolf's thanks, and had to stop himself from snorting at her somewhat naïve view of the world. Sure that'd be nice, but it just wasn't possible. "If everyone thought that way we wouldn't have any wars, but unfortunately there are some parties who seem determined to cause just that."

"It seems to be working for them well enough," Aardwolf stated. "I haven't heard a single raised voice since we got here and that is something I am not accustomed to."

Eclipse was glad that she didn't ask about how he knew who Lemur was, though given how much her thoughts seemed to bounce around he doubted she'd really care if his response was simple. He didn't want to use Jaguars name, but he could've told her something general if the dragon he just asked for hadn't landed on the platform near them with a question of who.

He wasn't sure what he expected when Jaguar mentioned Lemur being the one who gave the other dragons they were looking for the venom, but it wasn't a large, pinkish dragon. He had never seen anyone with scales that color, and they apparently got to choose whatever color they wanted to be. The only conclusion he'd been able to come to during the short time they'd been here was that the RainWings were a strange bunch.

Though he supposed they looked strange to them, yet they didn't seem suspicious or angry, just curious. "We've never met before. We're on a mission for the SkyWing tribe and your name came up in our travels as someone we could talk to about what we're looking for." He figured it'd be better to keep things as general as possible until they got an idea of what this dragon was about. After all, he might be the reason his aunt was dead.

Hawks deftly caught the bronze coin in one hand as it was tossed to him. He rubbed across the engraving with a single claw before pinning it onto part of his armor nearby the gleaming yellow fastener of his fur ruffed cloak. It felt good to be a part of something even if it was just a group of initiates at the guild. It was a starting place to work his way up from. Just like his father did before him.

Finally they got to the discussion of their actual mission. A blight-storm. He kept his face neutral but inside he felt the spiritual magics he commanded flaring in preparation for the destruction of things that went entirely against what his guardian stood for. Peace and protection versus chaos and violence. With this group he had a good feeling about just which side would come out on top. His whole job was to make sure that the other members of the team stayed on their feet and strong enough to fight back, and that was something he could do with ease. If it came down to it he had his own radiant magics that could likely carve swathes through the blight-storms stragglers that they were going to be up against.

They would likely go over their skills and make a plan for how they were going to tackle this on their way to the breach. While they weren't taking down the most difficult monster in the area it would still do them good to know what each of them was capable of and where to position themselves during the fight. He could already tell that Koth and Kohl would most likely be their front-liners with himself further back. He wasn't sure how the druid's abilities would work around the blight, but they'd cross that bridge when they got to it.

A quiet chuckle came from Eclipse as the rest of the group did a poor job of hiding their distaste. Perks of having to keep up decorum in the courts he supposed. He ate some of the melon that was in front of him, forcing his nose not to wrinkle at the odd texture. The flavor was good but it was just a bit different from what he was used to.

Aardwolf picked up a banana and used much more careful claws than one would expect of a large mercenary type dragon to peel it and pop the center of it into his mouth with no complaint. "Definitely tastes better than some of the fruits that have shown up a The Scorpion Den, but those are usually dried." He gave Hummingbird a bright smile, "Thanks for welcoming us so warmly, not something that happens a whole lot these days."

Eclipse shook his head a bit, not at anyone, just in general confusion about how he'd ever ended up halfway across the continent with a bunch of dragons he barely knew; eating fruit in the middle of the rainforest. Bizarre. "Do you think I'd be possible for us to speak with Lemur, if he's around?" He directed the question towards Hummingbird. If they couldn't speak to the Queen yet then they could at least try to get some information. If they were lucky they might be able to get what they needed from him and just leave.

Dawnwing chuckled at her apprentice as the rest of the cats joined up with them, sharing greetings and introductions. "No pretty sure I'm talking about you. I'm much too light to sink into the marsh." They must've been mentor and apprentice for some time to be able to speak back and forth so easily Hawkpaw mused as the rest of the cats joined them. He did already have his full name so it made sense. Maybe when she got older and more confident she and Blackmoon could speak more comfortably to each other.

"Nice to meet you," Hailshine meowed kindly towards Blackmoon, noticing the discomfort and not wanting to overwhelm him. She padded towards Braveleap bumped her shoulder against his with a warm and teasing smile as she struck up a conversation with the tabby.

Frostpaw's head snapped up towards Dew-whisker, amber eyes wide at her request before glancing towards where Hawkpaw stood with her eyes bright with excitement. "Alright," he mumbled; walking slowly towards the other apprentice. Of course she had to be one that actually wanted to talk and not just walk quietly.

Finally someone who was the same age as her to talk with on this journey! He seemed shy and as Blackmoon leaned down to whisper in her ear she gave him a nod. She could keep a conversation going with little input from anyone else, but it was more fun when it was a back and forth, like the conversation she could hear going on behind her with the siblings and Addertongue, who seemed to have given up on his escapade with Stonefoot and was simply chatting with the two ThornClan cats.

"Hi!" she chirped as Frostpaw finally reached her and they got back to moving towards DuskClan. "Nice to meet you! It's great to have someone closer to my age on this journey now. Not that it isn't interesting to talk to the other warriors, but it feels a bit strange, right?"

"Hello," he spoke so quietly she had to prick her ears to catch what he was saying amongst the other conversations that were going on around them. "Um, I guess so." At least he was talking, she racked her brain for something to talk about and settled for asking about what it was like living in the marshlands. That should be easy enough for him to answer questions about.

"So how're things in MistClan?" Dawnwing asked Dew-whisker, her voice casual but also concerned that the other she-cat might be experiencing the same lack of contact as the other clans seemed to be.
@savannahssu still here. Good that things are getting sorted for you.

Insight and observation were two of the things that Hawks prided himself on. It was how one stayed alive living the the slums of The Cliff as well as a boon when working with unusual people and this group definitely qualified as unusual in his mind. The druid who bounced between the members of their group, seemingly had a mind that did not sit still for more than a moment and moods that shifted with little warning. He could see her disappointment as she looked his way and pushed the creeping feelings of concern and dread to the back of his mind. They barely knew each other, and he was not one to make early judgement, only note what he could see.

Gold eyes flicked to the dwarf, Koth, who appeared to be believing of the disinterested arrogance he projected. Once he got to know the members of this group better, he'd let down his guard. He couldn't stop a small flicker of a smile from forming on his face as Koth spoke warmly to Tati'yana, and seemed undaunted by the cool greeting that was afforded to them by the largest among them. If any of them were going to be able to break down whatever barriers potentially stood between them before this mission, or after, it was likely to be him.

As for Khol, he was difficult to get a read on. Large and intimidating to look at, but quiet and less willing to engage with them. Similar to himself in some aspects he supposed. Something about the man tickled at the back of his mind. As if the Numin who followed him was trying to inform him of something that he couldn't quite place, a sort of wild energy that was kept carefully contained, but it wasn't his place to pry. Each of them had their reasons for being here after all.

Hawks gave an imperceptible nod, unusual but capable to mentally summarize his own observations. He fiddled absentmindedly with the metal filigree of the brooch that secured part of his armor, his gaze landing on Logrim who had stopped his pacing once they all arrived. He was eager to learn what this mission of their might be.
I'm down for a collab after the main post gets up

Hawkpaw's tail waved excitedly, the other clans were so cool! "The cliffs keep most of the snow out of the dens but it does get cold." She shook her head, "No I haven't ever been. I've only been Blackmoon's apprentice for a short time, so I imagine I'll see one some day. It's nice to hear that there will be new apprentices soon!" She didn't know what she could really tell Braveleap about the clan so she tried to mind what she said. He seemed nice, but the warriors and Emberstar always said to be careful around other clans.

Dawnwing nodded, "I hope all the leaders can keep their faith. This is not the time to loose it in light of what is happening." She chuckled lightly at Tigershine's complaint. Her smaller stature meant that she didn't sink quite as far into the marshy ground and some of the others. "You're just upset your lovely pelt gets messy."

The ground felt almost springy under Hawkpaw's feet now, and heard the other apprentices complaint. So this was MistClan, didn't seem so special with all the reeds, lack of trees, and small streams that meant everyone got their paws wet. She didn't think she'd survive in the marshes. Too damp for her. She could see two cats waiting for them amongst the reeds. "Good to see you Dew-whisker, Frostpaw" Duskwing called out as they approached. "I see Hailshine and Lightningnose with you. Greetings." She dipped her head to the four MistClan cats as they padded over.

Her ears perked up a bit, another apprentice then. She craned her head around the older cats to see a speckled she cat with a smaller white tom behind her who had his head ducked down, eyes to the ground. Hopefully he'd warm up a bit, she didn't want to be stuck on a journey with someone who wouldn't talk at all. That wouldn't be any fun.

Eclipse leapt into the air after the others; having to make sure to pay extra attention to where the trees were in regards to his wings. How did the RainWings fly through all of this? He'd be getting tangled in the vines and branches that swung down if he wasn't following Hummingbird and being exceedingly careful. Last thing they needed was an injury that would make it difficult to fly. Maybe he'd just make sure to walk while they were here.

Thankfully it wasn't a long flight to the platform above them that was covered in all manner of fruit. Nothing that they would normally eat at home. He frowned just a bit as Hummingbird mentioned they didn't eat meat, and that they had restrictions on the type of things they could hunt. What did a sloth even look like anyway? He wasn't sure if it'd be rude to ask so he kept his mouth shut.

"This'll do fine." He stepped towards the various different fruits rolling one of the melons in front of him and sliced it with a claw; given that the outside of it looked almost like leather. He was thankful to see that the inside was a brighter shade, and looked at least fleshy. "We can get something on the way out tomorrow. Once we have the information we need."
