@SoleAccordThis isn't the "living in chains" kind of enslavement. From the very beginning of Galatec's invasion, it's always been about controlling people without strict force. The food and water has additives that removes your will to fight. The environment is designed to instill a psychological obedience. The very light itself (an important detail to keep in mind) is made of wavelengths that cause pacifism in the human brain. And let's not forget how they were able to successfully invade to begin with: All of their products were designed with this in mind. So there is room for a life outside of "wake up, get whipped digging rocks, go to bed," even if it's one that completely lacks any freedom or independent will. It's very much John Carpenter's They Live, only instead of hiding the aliens are out in the open and lording their status over us, and we're totally ok with it because our minds have been tricked into thinking that it's ok.
@SoleAccordThe enslavement of New Earth was pretty immediate, so it's been nearly ten years.
@SoleAccord Anywhere between 15 and 25 is what we're looking for.

And as far as different ranged weapons, your primary light construct weapon can be a different kind of ranged weapon. Different style blaster, bigass cannon, energy bow (great, now I'm thinking quincies), whatever the heck you want it to be.

@mattmanganonHow does a middle manager for an intergalactic megacorp sound human? Hahaha. He can be whatever the player wants him to be, it doesn't make any real difference. There should be a ton of races and aliens involved in this.

The Githkin are the face of Galatec, what people are most familiar with. They are bred in tubes and mature to full adulthood in three days. Unless they are recognized for superior performance and promoted, they only know how to fight, and order slaves to "work harder." They are also significantly stronger than your average foot soldier, so don't underestimate them, rangers!

2) What colour would the 6th ranger be? We can't have white or black, since they are both colourless entities or something like that.

@ProPro Something I am actually, strongly, considering trying out for the Mentor role. Currently, i'm thinking of making the mentor a monster that was formerly a General of the big bad. He initially deciding to help the big bad, because, even though he was taking over worlds, ultimately, nobody got hurt. Now that the people are enslaved and rebellion is being crushed, he decides to turn on him. Big Bad had managed to get his hands on some ancient Morphers and planned to use them to create a Ranger team under his command. However, the general manages to steal the devices and get them into the hands of 5 teenagers with attitude.
Or, if you want a more technology-based powers, we can say that the bad guy's scientists made them.
I did mention earlier that the mentor is a middle-manager for the big bad. Who they are and where they came from beyond that, I will leave entirely up to the player.
