I figure my presence on this site is more of a curse than a blessing.

Bio

Years after writing my original post and funnily enough, I'm still Prose!

I'm twenty something, I like superheroes, magic and well... anything that happens to catch my eye. Sometimes I take random breaks from this site and reappear when you least expect me. Sorry about that. It's the mental health. I thrive in high casual settings and I like to write the same characters over and over so expect to see them regurgitated across different threads.

@Surtr Inc I'm so sorry this reply is taking forever. This cold has been beating my ass but I think I'm overcoming it. There will be an effort to finish a beautiful comprehensive response today.
I'll have a post up hopefully tonight, I'm running with a hell of a cold so I've been being lazy but I'll work on something tonight.
@Surtr Inc Gonna keep my text to Hagan but edit for that context because I'm sure Martin still informed him of how the support group went.
@Surtr Inc Got Martin up, was unclear if Lynette and Aliana are there so I'll add her to the next reply if they are.

The Reid Farmhouse - Mason Square

He wasn't excited.
It was only natural that he'd be feeling apprehensive towards this little adventure. It wasn't safe, it wasn't guaranteed to help and something about old farms just creeped him out. Having so many of the Camp Massacre kids back together on a mission together made him uncomfortable. It didn't really matter to him that they were all super freaks of nature, they were still a bunch of idiotic kids. Idiotic kids were impulsive, they made stupid decisions and they did stupid things, it was only a matter of time before one of them ended up doing something dumb as shit.

He didn't want to be afraid forever but it was hard to shake that fear when he was constantly waiting for the next attack. He and Grant had showed up late to Sucre earlier and missed Scott by an inch and a little part of him had been grateful. He didn't know why but he'd been afraid that Scott might remember him as the guy that escaped his axe and that didn't sit well with him. He didn't want to be the prey that got away, he hoped he'd been unmemorable enough that Scott would overlook him if they ever met face to face again.

With a sick feeling inside of him, Martin went to join Rita in her group because when all else failed, it was best to turn to Rita. He knew that she was using her Abstraction on Britney but did well in keeping his mouth shut because he knew that she probably didn't want to get caught. A slight curious part of him also wanted to see what information would come rolling out of Britney with the proper probing. It wasn't malicious, this curiousity, it was just suspicious. He had felt like so many of his questions had gone unanswered.

An Abstraction like Rita's was useful here and he was glad that he knew the truth behind it. When he'd gone on his honesty spiel with her, he had been insanely embarassed. He was still a little embarassed. It made him curious of what she had managed to reap out of people since they had left Cafe Sucre that day. Though her power was useful and good for interrogation, it was also invasive and kind of unnerving. It made him feel a little on guard.

He tried not to think about his discomfort around her Abstraction, saying a quiet, "I'll join this group." he had opted to wear his long black coat again, the collar was pulled high to obscure his neck marking. "If you'll have me."

After the little exchange about dating that he'd had with Grant, he almost hoped that he'd join this group too. He could use more friends around if terrible things were destined to happen tonight but he understood if the boy chose to follow his sister wherever she planted herself. He was just glad to have Rita at least, even if he'd promised himself not to get all stupid and protective over her again, he was much more comfortable with her nearby.
My next post will be up later today.

SAGE

"Now just hang on a moment there Elliot Rodger, I know you're the closest we have to the plucky teenager of the group, but if you think you'll be able to talk to the guy after he's been taken away by the guards, then I've somehow been giving you too much credit this whole time. At best, they call you a retard and turn you away without beating the shit out of you. At best. Besides, we probably won't even have to do anything. In comics, this kinda shit usually works itself out."

Though, Alexander said it in the most wordy way possible, he had a point. There was absolutely no way that Sage was going to get close enough to Roger that he'd be able to speak to him about his visions and no amount of conspiring with these assholes was going to change that. Though, he couldn't help how glum that made him feel. It was hard to hear about someone having visions and know that his own visions were unreachable at the moment.

He couldn't help but find himself hyper fixating on this isshe like an ache in his tooth. He had once had visions constantly and taken them for granted, they'd sort of fucked him up in a way but they were still his visions. No matter how gritty and bloody that those visions got, they were his to bear and he liked having them. They made him special, they set him aside, it may have not been an overt power or a dangerous power but it was his.

Without those powers, he felt sort of useless.
He drove his fist into the table, glaring up at Alexander, because if all else fails, take it out on Alexander. "Oh, would you shut up? I'm an adult, Goddamn you! I'm a full fledged fucking adult!" and his voice was starting to rise, "I know it makes it easier for you to cope or some shit by pretending I'm your teenager little brother that you can just bully whenever you get bored but-"

His outburst was cut short by the sound of Kennedy raising his voice to confront the staff at the Paragon. He was initially taken aback by the sound of the man yelling, his voice cut through the tense air immediately. It was hard not to be startled, the old professor was usually so mild-mannered and yet... yet something seemed very staged about all of this. Sure, Kennedy seemed passionate enough, sure, he was being loud and assertive, sure but there was a gleam in his eye.

Suddenly, Sage understood and all was right in the world. Kennedy was being dragged off but Sage was just starting to get comfortable again, he had not eaten his slop just yet but he was feeling satisfied. Kennedy was goimg to get the information that they all wanted, he had done it in the only way possible. He'd thrown himself into isolation, it was a move that Sage was going to congratulate him on later.

A new tone was taken with Alexander, this one amused and placated like a child that had inevitably got his way. Even if it was at the cost of a friend. "Nevermind my outburst, feel free to continue being an absolute douchenozzle."

He focused his attention back on the rest of the surrounding attendees, his mouth daring on a smile, his voice is kept very quiet. "Does anyone want my tray? I'm not very hungry and I'm thinking that we should mull over what just happened while we still have some time."
@Surtr Inc Added Aliana into my last reply. She's mostly bitching and moaning.
My next post will be up sometime today to keep us rolling. B)
I'll be doing Aliana's post informing Lynette of the events and generally just being exasperated with life.
