I started RP before double digit age but you couldn't have gotten an admission I was under 18 under threat of death. Kids just casually admiting it online now is wild.

Still here. I'll get another post up tonight, was waiting for others to post first.
As every member of the impromptu group began to get their bearings, Alexei took the time to look at the area around him. Unfortunately, there seemed to be nothing but wasteland around. Except for the massive white tree they were below. And that unsettling black gemstone within the tree. Either way, he turned back towards the group as a black-haired woman began speaking.

"Well, well, I suppose we are inside the Labyrinth, though I don't recognize any of you personally. I guess a small introduction shall do it the beginning? The name's Luthica." She said, before moving towards a girl in armor, examining the cut on her hand. "Mhm, this doesn't look good." Alexei took a moment to glance down at the girl's cut himself, and wondered what the bloody hell Luthica was talking about. He'd gotten worse injuries in arms training as a squire. Then again, he wasn't dealing with knights here. Damn it, why did he have to get separated from his brothers? Falling alongside them in the name of the goddess would have made a better death than dying with these adventurers.

Next, the dark-skinned boy began to speak up, edging away from Alexei for some reason.

"Roan." He muttered.

Well, he was a friendly one. Then again, that could be excused, really, seeing as how the Labyrinth was arguably a death sentence, and he may not have been here by choice.

With no one else speaking up after that, Alexei decided to give his own introduction.

“Alexei Galanis. Crusader of the Austeman church and knight of Isakios.” He bowed as another person began to introduce themself.

"Cenric Hargrave. Of the Order of Uliphetes, in Corian."

Oh, wonderful. A bloody snake-worshipper. Alexei's lips pursed slightly, but he kept quiet for the moment, allowing the next person in line to speak.
Fall break is fun.
Fall break is fun.
On the dawn of the fourth day of the Labyrinth's opening, a lone knight clad in worn armor approached the field, kneeling down in prayer.

"Blessed Austema, grant me the strength to strike down the infernal legions within this cursed Labyrinth. Grant me the fortitude to carry on my holy work within the bowels of hell. And when I fall, let my death benefit church and nation." He chanted before he stood back up, looking back across the entrance to the Labyrinth. From what he had heard, a platoon of Austeman Crusaders would soon be setting out on a campaign into the Labyrinth.

Alexei smiled. If he was to die in the service of his goddess, let him die along those he called brothers. Even after the years he had spent wandering, perhaps he might recognize some of the knights in the Crusader entourage. Drawing his greatsword, he sat down to await their arrival, sharpening his sword with a whetstone as he did so.

An hour later, his patience was rewarded as he spied a group of armored knights bearing a familiar symbol approaching. With a smile, Alexei pulled himself up and headed over to meet them.

"Brothers!" He cried as he approached. "May you be blessed in the name of our goddess Austema!"

"Well, I'll be damned!" A knight in more ornate armor befitting a captain approached Alexei, clasping his arm with a grin. "Brother Galanis? You're still alive? Suppose Rudovich owes me twenty gold now." The knight-captain laughed, patting Alexei on the back. "I suppose you're here to join us in one final, glorious charge, then?"

"Indeed I am, Brother-Captain Birlidis." Alexei replied. "Slay monsters in the name of the goddess and give Isakios a chance to retrieve magical artifacts? No end could be more fitting for a Crusader of the goddess."

"Very well, then. Fall in line. The Labyrinth will be opening soon, Brother."

___

And indeed it did. Not ten minutes after that did the Labyrinth open, sucking Alexei and the rest of the Crusaders in. But when Alexei opened his eyes, he saw none of his compatriots around him. Instead, all he saw before him besides a scorched wasteland was a group of assorted adventurers scattered across the ground.

"Fuck." A voice said to his side.

"Indeed." Alexei chuckled. "I suppose it could be worse, though. It is not necessary for me to die alongside my brothers. All I need do is die in the name of my goddess and my kingdom."

Sam Jensen - Gleeful Jackal, Blue King

As the sun began to set, Sam sighed in boredom as he sat back on the bed in his dorm. With Deep Ground Online down, there was really nothing else worth doing at the moment besides browse the public forums on the World and occasionally shitpost. Currently, most threads were abuzz with speculation about the Corpse Collector person that the Black King and her Ebon Strikers were hunting down. Yawning, Sam refreshed the page again to see a new thread at the top.

Calling All Kings

In light of the Black King coming out, DGP crashing, and a big announcement calling out one player specifically, we obviously have things to discuss. By that, I mean everybody who wasn't an enigma before today. With the exclusion of the Black King, I'm hereby calling a meeting for the six of us; as I said, we've obviously got things to discuss in light of these new circumstances. Show up at the library during lunch tomorrow. Kings only.

I'll be waiting.

"...Welp." He muttered to himself out loud. "Looks like Red's running scared. What the hell, sounds fun. If nothing else, at least I might get to see her flustered."

Leaning back on his pillow, Sam decided that he might as well try to get onto Deep Ground, even if the servers were down for the moment. If he was lucky, he might be one of the first to log back in. And considering that he'd been logged out while in the Ebon Strikers' guild headquarters, he'd definitely need to get out as soon as possible, especially if the Black King had a change of heart once she logged back on. Closing his eyes, he willed himself to log into the Deep Ground Program...

Welcome, Gleeful Jackal, Blue King.

...And found himself pleasantly surprised when he opened his eyes, seeing the Black King's guild hall around him. It seemed that he was one of the first people to log back in, considering how the hall was devoid of all of the avatars that had occupied it before the servers had gone down. Without a second thought, the Blue King dashed for cover, placing himself behind a pillar. Unlike a good portion of Assassins, Gleeful Jackal possessed no invisibility skills. No, his stealth was all natural. He abused line of sight and cover to sneak around, not trusting in the crutch of invisibility, especially given that certain people (read: the White King) loved to spam True Sight. Still, now he was hidden. And the Black King had to log back in eventually. If he recalled correctly, the place where she had been standing was just in range of his Grim Reaper skill. If he could gank a second King, the results would be hilarious. Hell, he could even record it like he did with the previous White King. What would people say when they saw the legendary Black King falling for a sneak attack in her own territory?

"CORPSE COLLECTOR I'M CALLING YOU OUT! Ebon Skryters has a bounty on your head and I aim to collect! You found me before but I bet you can't catch me this time! I'm going to get you, and when I do, your ass is mines!" A voice rang through the area. Startled, Gleeful Jackal looked towards the entrance of the guild hall to see a massive horde of Dissolutions, as well as a player with a shotgun evading them.

Huh. So other people had gotten in before him. And...wait. That player with the shotgun had been in the guild hall beforehand, looking to join the Ebon Strikers. And the person that had been shouting said he was from the Ebon Strikers as well. Damn. So the Black King had probably logged back on before he did, and now she was out in her territory, hunting down that Corpse Collector person. Any chance he had of assassinating her for shits and giggles was out for the moment. Shaking his head, the Blue King drew his grappling hooks and ran out of the guild hall, rocketing past the swarm of Dissolutions as he pulled himself up to a rooftop. Crouching down on the edge, Gleeful Jackal surveyed the area around him until he noticed an explosion in the streets below.

"My, my." He whistled in appreciation. "Whoever did that, I like their sense of style." Grinning, the Blue King contented himself to simply watch the battle below, not willing to interfere for the moment.

Name: Alexei Galanis
Age: 36

Where do you hail from?
The western Kingdom of Isakios is a theocracy dedicated to the worship of Austema, goddess of light and staunch opposer of Hell and the demonic. Every aspect of society in Isakios is controlled by the church, and the nation is rather insular as a result. Isakios possesses a bevy of natural resources, claimed by the church to be a manifestation of Austema's favor towards the nation, and thus has no need to trade with other nations for raw materials. The high priest of the Austeman church controls the kingdom, but Isakios' claim to fame is their military force, the Crusaders. The Crusaders are a holy order of knights dedicated to the church of Austema. The church teaches that the goddess' creed is to destroy all things infernal, and the knights of the church were founded for exactly that purpose. Crusaders are trained in both light magic and the weapons of war. The knights of Isakios are renowned as monster hunters, frequently sending hunting parties out into neighboring countries to wipe out infernal monsters. This has put them at odds with their neighbors from time to time, and wars have started in the past from misunderstandings over this, but in the current age, it is an unspoken agreement that only small numbers of Crusaders are allowed into the countries bordering Isakios at a time, if only because they provide a useful service in slaying monsters.

What are your reasons for crossing the Gate of the Labyrinth?:
A desire to slay monsters in the name of his faith.

How would you describe yourself?
Alexei is a wandering knight-errant dedicated to hunting down monsters wherever he finds them. This knight is so fanatical in his duties that he left his position within his holy order simply so he could slaughter the demonic in nations besides his own. In battle against monsters, he is bloodthirsty and nearly rapturous in his joy at killing monsters whereever they stand. However, when not killing monsters, Alexei is the very picture of a stoic, pious knight.

And your morals and ideals?
At heart, Alexei is a zealot for his church and the goddess he worships. The central creed of the Austeman faith is to slay the infernal, and to Alexei, that is all that matters to him. He is not adverse to helping those in need, but it will always be a secondary priority compared to hunting monsters.

What do you consider yourself to be skilled in?
As a holy knight of Isakios and the church of Austema, Alexei is an apt physical combatant, with strength greater than the average man, and a hardy consitution to match. He is a skilled swordsman, and specializes in large two-handed greatswords in order to slay the biggest monsters he can find. Additionally, Alexei is trained in the use of light magic. He is capable of firing blasts of magic, as well as augment his sword to smite anything it touches. Alexei is also capable of using his light magic in the form of shields and barriers, but he is less skilled in this aspect of magic than he is in the offensive arts.

After wandering on his own for a number of years, Alexei has also picked up general survival skills, and can fend for himself quite well in the wilderness.

Any fears or weaknesses that you hold?
If Alexei fears anything, it is the threat of monsters across the world. As a child, he had lost his family and village to a monster attack before he was saved and taken in by the Austeman Crusaders, and to this day, he bears an intense hatred of the demonic as a result.

The downside to being a zealot is that it can make a person quite unreasonable, and this applies to Alexei. Unless given a compelling reason to, he is generally unwilling to leave any monster he sees alive, even at the cost of either his own life or the lives of those around him.

Which part of your body do you value the most?
Alexei's right arm, which is his sword arm.
