as a patreon reward I will read your least favorite person's handmade custom tabletop RPG homebrew and ask them why they didn't just run it in 5e instead

I started RP before double digit age but you couldn't have gotten an admission I was under 18 under threat of death. Kids just casually admiting it online now is wild.

Well, this was it. Thunderstruck Grove. Parts one and two of his quest to become a necromancer. The bounties were a nice side goal, but first things first. He didn't pour over guides and discussions on becoming a necromancer for nothing, after all.

"Right, well, I do research, know the way-" He started to say before being instantly cut off by Ari just running off on her own. "...Oh my god, she just run in." The mage groaned, burying his face in one palm. "Does Ari even have level? How much HP she have? A hundred?"

Annnd then Lew went running off to look for her. Holy shit, did these people not understand the importance of not splitting the party?

"Ooookay, I propose plan. Make sure Lew and Ari don't get stupid asses killed, then get my necromancer shit done, then run around killing shit for bounty. Sound good, yes? I have to be hit by lightning and live, so I would like HP to be as high as possible before that. Which means not eating shit from mobs just yet."

Amulak sighed as the rest of these shit cowards around him started bitching about killing kids in a video game. Seriously, had they never played a Grand Theft Auto game in their lives? Or God forbid, Skyrim 2? He rolled his eyes, sending out a message to the others in party chat as they walked off to shop.

[Listen, I'm not asking you to help me kill NPCs, I'll get that done on my own time. I just want to get through Thunderstruck Grove, capiche?]

With that sent out, he went off to make his own preparations. A brief pop-over to an armor shop for a hooded cloak to cover up the miserable clown suit that was his leveling gear before he bought the things he actually needed. Fashion was endgame, after all. But no, after that, he purchased a charm of lightning resistance before blowing the rest of his rishi on health potions, just in case he wasn't in tip top shape by the time he had to actually tank the lightning bolt to the face.

After his shopping was finished, Amulak returned to their initial meeting point, ready to get out there and get his class requirements knocked out of the way.

He hadn't gone that hard on a MMO grind in years. Not since he'd started his pro gamer career, at least. Damn, but he'd missed this. Amulak returned Ames's grin with one of his own as he prepared to log out for the night as well, thoroughly satisfied with how much he'd rose and ground over the course of the day.

Time dilation was a hell of a thing, Stanislaw reflected as he pulled the VR headset off his head, idly noting that only eight or so hours had passed in the real world. It was rather late in Krakow, despite the fact that he'd arranged things so that he would've been able to play from the moment his headset had arrived in the morning. There had been breaks for food during the grinding session, of course, but he'd really only chowed down on finger foods then: beef jerky and fruit. Nothing particularly substantial. With a yawn, Stanislaw pulled himself out of his chair to fix something to eat quickly for the night before heading off to bed.

___

Despite being the gamer gremlin that he was, Stanislaw didn't immediately boot Cacophony Concord up the moment he awoke. No, there was just the minor matter of making money first. He hadn't simply pissed away the winnings he'd earned during his competitive years on sports cars or anything stupid like that. He'd made investments. Stocks, cryptocurrency, the works. As such, those needed to be watched over and constantly flipped to make sure Stanislaw had a steady flow of income, and he spent most of the morning doing such, a breakfast of bread, kielbasa, and coffee accompanying him.

By the time most of the Discord had bothered to wake up and log on, he'd already finished a decent lunch and it was well into the afternoon. Hell, he'd even had enough time to do research on how to unlock his chosen class. Fortunately, part of it was simple. Just ice a NPC kid for the first requirement. Easy. And the second and third were interconnected. Hell, there were actual speedruns of the Blasphemed Tunnels posted online. With Amulak's current level of strength, getting through them would at least be an adventure.

Amulak opened his eyes to the sight of the rest of the group, minus Klein.

[b]"Very good afternoon to you!" He spread his arms and called out jovially. [b]"Eh? Where is big fucker? He not log in? I do not think he mention anything in Discord..." The aspiring necromancer trailed off, before shrugging. [b]"Eh, he will show when he shows. In any case, Amulak have goals for today. Too many levels of mage already. Time to unlock necromancer class. Have NPC kid to kill and tunnel map to go through. Anyone wish to come along? Will be fun!"

Was...was that it? The motherfucker didn't even have the decency to die, he just bowed to them, dropped some loot, and fucked off? At least he got enough xp for another level, though...Mags and Raime were five levels above him now? What? And...Ames still hadn't leveled?

Alright, this was getting ridiculous. Even if there was a class xp penalty for Ames, they'd just beaten a boss. What the actual hell.

And then Raime put it in perspective. Ames was double stacking those talismans? Yeah...okay, that made sense. Hell, he really didn't need that talisman himself after the first few levels of fixing his stats. Amulak immediately unequipped the offending item, shaking his head.

"That make much more sense, yes. Many thanks, Raime. Though I feel is kind of cocktease for big frog boss to just bow to us and run off like bitch." Amulak groused, taking the moment to pump his stats.

+1 DEX
+2 LUK
+5 END

"In any case, what do now? We still had two people who didn't come grind with us, but Ames also need xp points, yes?"
Expressing interest. I guess I'm not done with Fate just yet.

JUST LIKE OLD TIMES, SHEPARD
Screw it, why not. Time to dig up my old sheets of my one original Servant I kept apping years ago. Until FGO finally gets their claws into him.
