Current Man, I remember those last few statuses sounding funnier when I was writing them... Is this what aging does to people?

Good news, I'm not failing out of my cooking course tomorrow! Bad news, it's only because I nearly sliced a chunk off my finger practicing for it and needed stitches.

It's days like today that I truly believe this ADHD is both a blessing AND a curse.

So wait, do you think Elise's petals are made of metal?
Gonna try as get a post up tomorrow, just to make sure Elise doesn't die from non-activity.
Well, looks like things are about to get interesting…

"I'm going to be entirely honest here, I'm not sure what you mean when you say con." Sage said nervously. "But there is definitely something down there, and it's following the vibrations from her staff."

As he said this, he pointed to Tirnea. He was beginning to get worried now. He could see that the woman with the hammer was beginning to suspicious as well, and the other one… Well, it was pretty clear that she hadn't been a fan since the start!

"A-Anyway, listen. If it really isn't anyones familiar, then it's a danger to the people here. I might be able to use some of the roots deeper underground to restrain it, but I won't if I can get an assurance that it really is one of your familiars. So please, you know, if it is… Just let me know! Because as I just mentioned, I'm looking for mages with them! Someone who is willing to learn! Someone who would work in tandem with nature! So seriously, just say it now."

As he spoke, he made a point of maintaining eye contact with Tirnea. There was no way it wasn't her familiar, it was following her every move!

STRONGEST MEMBER OF JUSTICE HEART!

With everything that was happening, Elise could only blink stupidly from her position on the ground. Running her head, she slowly got up and looked over to the fight. It looked like Courtney had caught a stinger to the ass, but she seemed to be handling it well enough. She'd managed to transform too, although the bug she was fighting probably wasn't going to make things easy for her.

"Well, I guess it's time I got started too." She said, standing up shakily and grabbing her necklace. "As the darkness fades, I'll open up to face the dawn! Justice Bloooo-"

And then she was cut off, as the electric monstrosity that she may have forgotten was also there threw her through the window of a nearby shop. For a moment, she simply lay there, slumped against the pile of glass and smashed furniture. To any onlookers, she may very well have looked dead.

That is, until a single, glowing gold flower petal floated past her face.

Suddenly, a second, a third, and a fourth joined the first, and it continued until a full stream of petals was floating around her.

And then she grinned.

"Promised Petal Blade."

And as she spoke, the stream flowed to surround her sword, which she promptly slashed upwards. As she did so, an arc of petals flew from the blade, colliding with the black lightning monster and sending up a cloud of dust and debris.

"You know, I'm pretty sure the old monsters at least gave us time to transform..." She said, cracking her neck as she reemerged from the smashed storefront. "Still though, considering you're fighting the strongest member of Justice Heart, I can't say I blame ya!"
Ok, so things got a little hectic recently, and I haven't been able to start my post, but damn it, I'll try to get it out soon. Either today or tomorrow, I reckon.
Well, things got pretty hectic today, so I never got my next post out like I wanted to, but don't worry about waiting for me or anything. I'm pretty sure my Timezone sleeps through when you'll make all the replies, so I'll just get it up sometime tomorrow morning.
I'm gonna try to get a post up tomorrow. Sorry I'm taking so long.

The Police Bar, 7:30 pm

Elise spotted her best friend from across the bar, practically jumping into the chair next to her.

"Hey Courtney!" She shouted, already having drank a fair bit before she arrived. "I saw you're performance! Don't worry though, because I know you are. I know that look. Me personally, I think you're dance was really fun!"

She refrained from mentioning the singing. She hoped Courtney wouldn't pick up on that. Before she could continue trying to avoid that subject however, she got a text. Looking down to her phone, her eyes widening slightly when she realised it was from Lily. And then she hiccuped, which in turn led to a snicker as she actually read it.

"Oh, there's no way I'm not forwarding this to Connor!" She said, her eyes drooping slightly.

After tapping away at her phone long enough to... well, make an attempt at sending the message to her brother, she looked over to Courtney, sighing.

"So I guess you're gonna wanna save 'em now?" She asked, an expression of disinterest plain on her face. "I'll be honest with you, the prospect of saving that woman doesn't exactly appeal to me. However, I'd hate to lose that angry little hobbit, and I am a fan of dramatic, last minute entrances..."

And then she looked back up, the kind of crooked smile that only the slightly (extremely) drunk could perform stretched across her face.

"Alright, let's do it! But we gotta wait 'til something's about to hit them, for maximum dramatic effect!"

And then her phone buzzed again, causing her to look down to it, giggling at Connor's reply as they both left the building.

I'm going to ask for her ID like twelve times next time I'm working...
