4 months into this hole 'being a responsible adult thing' and I've come to a conclusion: It sucks and I want to go back to the days where I didn't have to plan out my game time.

@Gnar The Missing LinkThis gives me ideas for Ian to joke with, so many ideas.

On another note, You never answered my question about Ian and him taking Anubis 14 on Joy Rides as extra training to boist his Synchro rate.
Finally posted, Nathaniel too busy stalking the Skylark to be bothered with meetings.
Light. Rebirth. Cosmic Divinity. These were the thoughts that came to mind when Grimm noticed the Soul of the Slylark earlier that day, a fleeting glimose into a world h coukd barely comprehend that had sparkedba riaring inferno of artistic inspiration in him. He'd stayed on the roof of the opposing building, hidden in the shadows as he used his Reaper's eyes to viewnher soul if the fire began to dwindle, or if he just wanted to bask in the radiance of it. And there he stayed for hours until the Skylark decided to go somewhere. He followed at a fair distance, hopping from rooftop to rooftop until she came to her destination, a local inn of some sort. Something about it tickled at his memory, but he'd have time for that later. Now he was too focused on capturing the soul before him on his paper.

He entered the Inn silently, took a seat not too far away from the kitsune present, and continued the process. Ye had moved on from the pencil stage a while ago and was now in the process of inking the piece, already planning on which among the plethora of colors and techniques he had at his disposal he would be using when he began to color it. He still looked up every few minutes as he did so, ice blue spheres glowing softly in the darkness of his ragged black hood.

Grim was technically not wearing anything right now, dressed in only his Reaper Cloak, which was his basically soul, and thus, technically not clothing. He currently had it formed arou d him in a garb of black leather shirt with a dull sheet of metal coverung his vitals, leather leggings with similar greaves and boots, none of which made a sound when he moved,,almost as if he wasn't even their. His hood was worn-looking, ripped and ragged at the edges with several holes throughout it. Most strangely of all, the cloak was moving, slowly yes, but still easily noticeable with the way the fabric was undulating and writhing around his form, like it was a live almost.

"First day back in the realm of the living and already I find such an inspiring subject. Maybe this whole venture isn't a complete waste of time." Grimm engaged in one of his less sociable habits, thinking out loud, which was a product of him spending unhealthy periods of time with virtually no one else but himself to talk to. "I just hope that there won't be any annoyances aming the group whenmwe go to face this Marcys guy. Isn't there a meeting about that today and if do, shouldn't I be heading over there . . . fuck it, I've got time. Can't even remember where the place is anyway."

@Masaki HarunaPosted
Ian's smile dropped the instant he heard the name, taking an step back instinctively from Utau as he tried to hold back the flood of memories that the name brought with it. Sadly, it was for not, and one memory in particular pained him more than any other.

- Militant Cruiser, Turok sector, Outer Rim, 1 month ago-

Ian was sitting in a chair overlooking the empty void, trying his best to tune out his sister and her incessant need to sing along to every song by her favorite Idol, Utatu or whatever she was called. It wasn't that he disliked the music, it was decent enough, he just hated having to hear it a million times on a daily basis. If he heard that goddamn chorus from Kibou to Negai one more time, he'd through her music player out the air lock.

"Couldn't you at least use your headphones? Not everypne wants to listen to that stuff 24/7, you know."

Angela Blackwood, his foster sister and best friend, responded in the only way befitting the daughter of a highly decorated, high ranking officer, by sticking her tongue out at him. She had her hair cut and stlyed so that it resembled that of her Idol, even going so far as to dye her naturally black hair purple as well, though she'd had enough restrain to limit it to only the tips of her hair. So far gone was her obssession, she'd even went through a procedure to change the color of one eye to be the same as UTAU, making it a bright-ish purple instead of her normal light grey. "If you don't like it, you can go somewhere else, Ian, this is the closest thing we've ever had to a vacation, so I'm going to enjoy it as much as I want to, as loud as I want to." With that said, she turned her music up and gave Ian a familiarly mischievous smile that he couldn't help but return, having some fun despite his sister being her usual annoying self.

"I'll do just that, so later Lil' Sis, and have fun listening to your music . . . with out your phone!" Quick as a flash, Ian was down the halls of the ship with his sister's phone before she could comprehend what had happened. Ian couldn't help chuckling when he heard her cry of outrage, happy with the knowledge that she was too much of a lazy lump to get it back, plus she had another one anyway, so it really wasn't that much of a problem.

A couple hours later, Ian was near the lower decks of the ship, listening to some of his guilty pleasure UTAU favorites, like Kono Haato Tomaranai when he heard an alarm rung throughout the ship, the one for Cruxi attacks. His last thought before hearing those alarms, however, had been simple. I wonder how this UTAU chick is in real life.

Flashback End

That was the last time he had ever spoken to his sister, and the thought of it had been more than enough to cause tears to flow unbidden to his eyes. He came out of his mind when Sugma had left, coming to with a shock before he reached up to feel the wetness on his face, surprised to find tears before he went to wipe his eyes dry, an hollow chuckle escaping hus lips as he did so. "I'm sorry, it's just . . . my sister is, or was, a really big fan of yours. She played Kibou to Negai so many times I could probably recite it you by heart." That was a lie, he could recite it perfectly forwards, backwards, even sideways. He still had his sisters purple music player, had it in his pocket at this very moment. The day after the incident he's locked himself in his room for hours, staring at a spot on the wall while listening to his sister's playlist over and over again. He'd listen to them so much he could recite them all, though if he ever triednhe'd breakdown into an unintelligible mess of sorrow before he got through the second chorus. This is why you never look back. A voice he remembered and despised whispered to him, The only thing that comes from remembering tragedy is more pain.

"I'm sorry, but I think I'll . . . I'll just leave you to yoyr business." Ian walked away from the violet haired Idol so fast he was almost running, heading into the boy's bathroom, locking himself in a stall and just taking a second to compose himself. In a few minutes he'd walk out feeling as chipper as ever, but right now, he just needed to center himself in the present, lest he lose himself in his past.

@GreenGoat
@GreenGoat Can you give me a song name to use or something like that, I've got an idea.
@Gnar The Missing LinkI was going tl have Ian nave a history of taking his Framewerk for Joy rides, can I also have that translate into him starting with a low rate, but then pushing it up rapidly through pure effort.
@Gnar The Missing LinkWhat do you mean by noises, do you means whispers, ambience, or is it just up to us?
"Shouldn't be to hard, since I basically said the same thing to Antwon not just a couple minutes ago." Ian stated in response matter-of-factly, looking rather unperturbed by Korie's revelation. It just proved what Ian had already suspected, Korie wasn't just another cadet like the rest of them, a fact that he seemed eager to show off with his blatant display of privilege by getting food and sandwiches. "As for my desires, trust me when I say that you're not my type. The only reason I'd ever kiss you again is just to see how many times I can get away with it before you really lose your temper. Basically, I'm fucking with you so there early isn't a need to get so bent out of shape. The only reason I did in the first place is because I wanted the card and in the past the easiest way to distract people was to do something that they don't expect. Pickpocketing is a lot like stage magic in that regard, it's all about distraction." Ian finished his sandwich and coffee before he got up and tossed them both into the trashcan, taking this as a moment to reevaluate his comrades.

Antwon seemed to be a reasonable guy, if a bit out-spoken but that wasn't necessarily a bad thing. Every team needs at least one person who isn't afraid to speak their mind and be the skeptic. Elora was adorably shy, and seemed to be easily flustered. Ian wasn't sure how that would translate on the battlefield, but he'd save his judgements on that for later. Even if she stunk, Ian was sure that she could be pushed to achieve better as long as she was given a proper push in the right directions and encouragement. Sigma would be Ian's first vote for leader, because she had all the seriousness of Korie, but seemed to know that antagonizing the people you want to lead is a bad idea. Tatsuda hadn't really given him enough to say anything bout him yet, but he did notice how the boy had reacted to Korie's comment about Antwon's past, and how he tried to hide it with a smile. Very interesting. Serah was his favorite person here so far, as she was making the most f her situation and having fun with it.

All that was left was the silent girl across the way, one that Ian felt like he'd seen before but couldn't put his tongue on where. Well, she seemed like as good a person as any to mess with, he was sure that talking to Korie any more would just lead to more trouble than it was worth. Ian walked over to where the purple haired girl was, giving off a friendly smile and a wave. "Hello there, I don't think I caught your name and in case you didn't catch mine, it's Ian. Also, have we met somewhere before, I feel like I've seen you from somewhere before?"

@GreenGoat

@Gnar The Missing Link
@Gnar The Missing Link That does bring up a question. Besides the Speacial ability, is there anything important about having good synchro, and anything negative about bad synchro. And how does synchro gets risen or lowered?

@GreenGoat Is Utano somewhat well known? By that I mean, would Ian be able to recognize her from her stage persona?
Wow, all those rates seem to make like perfect sense for (almost) each of the characters. It would definitely be Zan who has the perfect ratio. Also good to hear that they'd all rise over time, so nobody gets left in the dust.

Which do you think doesn't make sense?
