4 months into this hole 'being a responsible adult thing' and I've come to a conclusion: It sucks and I want to go back to the days where I didn't have to plan out my game time.

@Feisty-PantsI'd tell you mine, but I'm sure it's rather obvious. That being said, I also play Lucio, so high five for being under appreciated supports!

Or she could be dropping off the Lunch a bit early. Though that would risk the juicy goodness sodding up the bread.

She did go to eat breakfast herself, afterward. Though the meetup for new students is at high noon.

@KronshiHow about him having it as a more evasive manuvers and mobility tactic then an attack? That would help diversify his 'kit' a bit. It can't do much damage if somebody gets hit, but it does have knock back potential and works with the idea of Marra Mamba's being strong, Agile fighters.
Question: As a quartz gem, do you hiyas think that Mars should be able to do that spin attack ability that both Amethyst and Jasper are capable of doing?
@SpinnaHow do you think Spinna and new Mars would get along? And do you think Spinna would be overwhelmed by the awkward mess of energy that is the new Reggie?

But a post up, just to semi-introduce some possible antagonists for later. Hope it's okay.

"Have you cleared out the Alliance Base, Sir?"

"Yes, and good on you for calling right when I told you. I told you that it wouldn't take more then 5 minutes at most."

"Yeah, yeah, you can brag about it at the lunch I now have to by you. Stand-by while our mages get a lock on your position to teleport you back."

"Watch the tone, Jason. Remember, you speak to me with respect or suffer the consequences."

"Y-yes sir, understood."

A figure chuckled as he put away his communicator, turning around to look at the building he'd just exited. It was a rather average looking outpost on the outside, but inside was a rather elaborate and state of the art facility that the Alliance ahd been using to keep tabs on the local opposition, some terrorist group of little importance that had apparently hd such trouble that they had sent a representative to his underworld contacts in order to hire his company's services. Given the nature of the contract and the need to keep things very, very quiet, he'd taken the job himself. It was rather simple to take out the people stationed here once he had completely dismantled their automated defenses and communications with an EMP pulse. Then it was only a matter of methodically taking out every person within the facility. Every person was killed quickly with either a knife or a bullet, not wanting to leave too much of a trace of what kind of Esper had done this. Still, he'd expected a bit more of a challenge from the whole thing. Overall, it was much, much too easy, made him wonder why the Terrorist cell even bothered to pay so much to take it out. Whatever the case, it wasn't his problem and, as he felt the slight tug of the teleportation magic take hold of him, he pressed a button on the inside of his coat jacket before he was sent away.

Seconds later, the entire building would be blown to smithereens from the many, many explosives that he had littered the place with. With no survivors, no surveillance tapes, and now not even a smidgen of usable evidence, it be nearly impossible for anyone to know how the base was taken out. Whether the base's destruction would do anything to change the balance of power in the region, however, was something to be seen in the future, and if it did, it could mean more work for his company in the future, so whatever the case, it was a win-win for him.

As the fight was halted and uniforms, a rather unassuming boy was watching the whole thing in a rather nervous manner. He was a rather plain-looking sort, with black hair, an average face, and no real definitive quirks to speak of, unlike a few of his classmates. However, one would notice that his gaze had been fixated on their teacher for sometime, but nearly all would write that off as a the beginning of a crush upon the beautiful young teacher, or perhaps even a bit of fearful/starstruck nature at being in the presence of an honest-to-god Level 10.

The truth, however, was something much interesting.

From a secret location, a man was looking through the boy's eyes via a bond of corruption that ran through his blood. Before meeting him, the boy was a rather weak and unimpressive Telekinetic, barely able to lift or bend utensils. After being reborn through the corruption, however, his powers had been greatly improved, to a point where it was almost scary. And to see the height of what his powers could accomplish, he could only imagine what his leader could do with that kind of power. The man to was wondering this, though he had suffered a more hands on account of that power.

Tendou-san, how long do I have to be here again? I'm always willing to serve but . . . but what if they find me out?

Don't worry, my vassal, just keep calm and observe. The chance of them finding out is very low, and even if they do, do you thing I'd let them lay a single finger on you and get away with it. You're apart of my family, and I'll defend just as fiercely as another. Now just relax and observe. I need to know if this woman has any weaknesses that I can exploit. Detestable as it is, she's a large obstacle in my way to Adam Pride and a need to know of ways to take her down, at least to a point where I can reason with her from a position of strength.

The boy gave his response, as well as a report of what he'd been able to gather. It seemed that the boy was indeed quite taken with the young teacher, but he assured his leader that it wouldn't be a problem if the time came for it. An assurance that the man had absolute faith would be followed through. Through their connection, they were family, and every had an inkling of what the other was thinking or feeling, and this openness lead to a desire to protect each other that was greater and stronger than any bond of patriotism or nationalism, as everyone of them was willing to die or become devils for the sake of their brothers and sisters.

Meanwhile, in his facility deep in the earth, the man would frown, his thoughts still focused on the Level 10 thorn in his side. The other two who had been with her, a fire mage and Cryo-kinetic respectively, when he had taken up the persona of Earth, were hardly a problem for him to deal with, and easily countered, but that Kotori was a very challenging foe. While he had ways to avoid her telekinetic grip, she could cause all kinds of problems with the level of control she could enforce on the building blocks of the universe, and she's only been Level 10 for a short time. The longer it took to come up with a solution, the stronger she would get and the less likely he'd be at enacting his revenge upon this city and the man in control of it all.

Just the thought of that man, drew up a rather sinister look upon his face, as his hands curled up into fists from where he was sitting, before letting out a sigh. Rising from his seat, the man would walk out of his observation room which was completely sparse of decoration besides a chair to help him focus. Running a hand through his raven black hair, the man would open the door and step out into the rest of his base, mind already shifting to the coming preparations for their next attack against the corruption that infested Pyramid city.

Looking down on the class from a roof up above was a lone figure, a man in a black trench coat with a walking cane in hand, the tip being that of a golden skull with a black diamond placed in it's mouth. The man's hazel eyes would glow gold for a second as he focused his energies upon a singular person in the group, the Silver clay user, but upon sensing this magical presence and turning to investigate it, the boy would see nothing. However, by his foot, he'd notice a small nugget of gold that seemed to have popped up from the very dirt, only to disperse into dust as soon as it was percieved by the young man.
No Reggie post, as I realized that I still need to wait on Brass Otter to get a post up for Carmen, but I put up a decent MArs post as he lays down, before anything else, ground rule number one on being a gem: Protect your gem at all costs.
Mars

As Mars waited to see if Topaz could think of anything, he suddenly got a notification from Candice, listening intently while keeping an eye on his charge, he noticed exactly when her face twisted in disgust, something which caused him to raise an eyebrow in confusion, wondering if he'd done something to offend her, only for understanding to dawn upon his face as she suddenly asked questions about stuff Candice was telling him. So she has some form of super hearing . . . definitely shouldn't let the general find out about that little tidbit. With that in mind, he didn't let Candice know that she was being overheard, as he was sure that the general was also keyed into it, in order to keep abreast with the situation. Instead, he continued to listen to Candice's report. At the mention of Red heading this way, Mars was quick to let out a rather colorful curse before he could check himself.

So they either have locked onto me, Topaz, or a corrupted Gem that is currently on the approach. . . *sigh* if it's me or Topaz, then things have a chance to resolve peacefully, but if it's a corrupted gem, then there could be casualties, especially if these new gems don't give a damn about the local populace.

Before Mars could think any deeper into the situation, however, Topaz spoke up again, expressing concern with the thought of Red coming here. Before he could try to comfort her, however, she suddenly took a rather steely stance, looking him in the eye and asking him to teach her how to fight. She might have just take a hammer to his Gem, as it left just as painful an impact on him. His golden irises seemed to glaze over as his mind was taken back to all of the warzones he'd been to, all of the friends he'd loss. Zoe was the first major lost in his life, but far from the only one. Corporal Reese, Sergeant Maxwell, and many other brave men had died while he could do nothing to stop it. They were all fighters and killers alongside him, their souls damned to this ongoing slaughter, as well as dealing with the effects that came with this lifestyle. And this young gem was asking him to possibly induct her into this life. To fight was to kill, in Mars' mind, and to kill is to experience hell. Even now, he could see the faces , moving forth from the edges of his vision to take the center stage alongside Topaz.

A wall of faces burned into his mind, all of them being those who he had ended with his own hands. His gaze broke from Topaz for a moment as he looked down as the ground, his vision swimming as he saw all of the blood that stained his hands. He was on the cusp of breaking down once more from that one question, but strangely enough, the source of his distress was also the source of strength that allowed him to momentarily put it aside. He had to at least appear strong before this newborn, who was depending on him for a lot right now. He was needed at his fullest right now, and he couldn't afford to retreat back into his mind, especially with Red on his way here. As such, when he returned his gaze to Topaz, they were once again clear and focused.

"I would like to thing that this new gem is nice, but Candice isn't one to make mistakes like that. If she says that Red was threatening Gems, then he was. As for Gems being powerful, that's more in line with facing humans. When faced with other gems, then it's a more even playing field, though sometimes not by much. Not all gems are made to fight like I am . . . still, that doesn't mean that you can't. I . . . am willing to teach you how to use your abilities and how to defend yourself. I won't, however, teach you how to be the aggressor, on how to 'fight'. It's something that will fundamentally change you in ways that are, in my experience, seldom positive." Again Mars' eyes began to grow distant, but he shook his head, clearing his thoughts of the voices that dwelled in it before walking passed Topaz, motioning for her to follow. "But let's move on from that for now. First, we need to get out of the town, lest we endanger the humans here. If Red is after you, he might back off if you tell him you have no interest, as it seems like he doesn't want to force any of the other newborns into his collective, but we can never be too sure and I'd rather not gamble with the loves of the people in this town. That being said, I want you to keep an ear out for any particularly loud noises and alert me to them. You may not realize this, but you shouldn't have been able to hear Candice, or 'the Lady in my ear' you were referring to, but since you did, it leads me to believe your power is being able to hear things very, very well."

As Mars spoke, he made sure to keep the communication device turned off from his end, to prevent anyone from overhearing him say that, turning back on when he finished, just to keep in touch with Candice in case something happened. He also brought a hand up as they walked, the one with his gem in it, and showing it to Topaz. "As a quick run through, this is my gem and it's the most important thin on my body. That rings true for all gems, because this is what keeps us alive and our physical forms stable. I don't have time to get into specifics, but the first thing you need to realize is that if this gets damaged, it's hard to keep up your physical form, and if it happens to break . . . then you cease to exist. So you must be sure, above all else, to protect your gem. Understand?"
