4 months into this hole 'being a responsible adult thing' and I've come to a conclusion: It sucks and I want to go back to the days where I didn't have to plan out my game time.

"I don't think there is a definitive way to answer that, Clara." Jaden wanted to reach out and try to comfort her, her current position so reminiscent of how she was right after he had found her. But now, he was the one who had hurt her, had driven her this far into herself. Not through the actions of his demons, no, by the words he had spoken just now. He had made a decision, a decision to tell her everything, hoping that it would help, but he had just driven the nail in deeper. It was a foolish mistake, but it was too late to take it back. Now, he had to do his best to be as honest with her as possible, to rebuild the trust that, after being cultivated for centuries, now seemed on the verge of crumbling apart. "All I can say is that for the longest time, I've had your best interests at heart, that I regret what happened this night, and that I will never let it happen again. It was a moment of weakness and you suffered because of it, and for that, I will never be able to forgive myself."

"All I can really say for myself is that I mean what I say with all my heart. Ultimately, the decision is yours whether I'm worthy of your trust or not. Look into your heart and decide what you think is best for you. No matter your choice, I will support you to the best of my ability for as long as you need it, as I always have and always will." Jaden's weary gaze looked upon Clara's small form a moment longer, wondering if this would be the last time he looked upon her, before closing his eyes with a soft sigh. The emotions of this conversations, along with his worries and anxieties for the future, were starting to take their toll on him. He felt drained of his strength, of his will. So much has happened in such a short amount of time, it's almost overwhelming when I stop to think about it. All of those lives, taken, and I'm to blame. And yet, the thought of her leaving frightens me oh so much more. If I'm left alone again, to the bask in the glow of my demons with no one around to ease the sting. . . I will lose myself to him. I will cease to be, and that bastard will have won. The thought turned his mouth into a grim line as his teeth grounded against each other, his form tightening for but a moment, only to once again lose all of the tension built within it.

But that's why he chose me as a vessel, isn't it. He could tell just by looking at me that behind all of the bravado and titles of my position, I was a weak fool, easily deceived and easily broken.
@BlackPantherSee above.
[@TheBlackPanther] Posted, messed up the tag though.
Noibat

There was naught but silence at first,though Noibat's hold on her friend tightened a bit, this was soon broken by the girl's light giggling as Z began to lick her nose. Sitting herself up, she held Z up by the scruff, looking him straight in the eyes.

"I'm taking you up on that, so don't go claiming you forgot. Also, the next time I say that the situation's bad, then we get out, okay?" Her golden eyes would bore into Z's blue ones until she was sure he understood, in which case she'd set fluffball on her shoulder, getting up with an exasperated sigh. "You always get overexcited whenever you set your mind to something."

Giving her friend a light flick on the nose for all the trouble they put her through, Noibat set off for the forest, planning on setting the little Zorua down in his usual spot and, after making sure he had some Oran berries to help with the scratches, went off on her way to her own home. It had been a bit of a stressful day, so she figured she might also go berry hunting for a bit, see if she could find any of those delicious Leppa berries around, then sleep wherever she happened to be once night rolled around.

Jaden Locke

"*sigh* . . . I guess it would be hard to adjust. Still, just make sure you at least let me know, okay?" Jaden would've gone on, wanting to hear more about these suspicious trainers, but the sound of a pained scream cut him off before he could finish. Looking around for a possible source of such a disturbance, Jaden noticed a cluster of people not too far away. Hurrying his way into the crowd without more than a beckoning motion to his pokemon, he arrived just in time to see the vicious final blow. His eyes would widen in shock at the brutality and ruthlessness of the blow, then narrowed as he saw the Machamp's trainer congratulate his pokemon for his over-zealous attack. His hands curled up into tight balls of fury as his feet carried him forward at a steady, stomping pace.

Before he knew it, he had walked right up to the trainer and as the bastard turned to face him, a fist would be flying through the air to meet his face. After striking the trainer, Jaden would reach out with his other hand to grab the boy by his collar, pulling him up until they were looking into each other's eyes.

"WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR PROBLEM, YOU PATHETIC SACK OF SCAT!!! DO YOU THINK THAT JUST CAUSE YOU HAVE A STRONG POKEMON, YOU CAN GET AWAY WITH ALMOST KILLING OTHER POKEMON! OTHER PEOPLE!!! Jaden's anger was so intense, flamed seemed to spew from his mouth as he spoke. With a disgusted grunt of effort, he threw the boy down to the ground, looking down upon him like he was a pile of crap on the ground. This time when he spoke, the scalding heat had becoming biting cold. "You're no trainer. You're nothing more than a bully, abusing others just so you can feel good abut your own pathetic self. If you have any dignity left, then you should beg that girl for her forgiveness and if you permeantly injured the Buneary, or worse, turn yourself into the police. It'll likely give you time to think on what it truly means to be a trainer."

@Feisty-PantsThat's the smart plan. You should know Jaden better by now.
@Hyper HarlequinNo, you must use jt for all the evils. ALL OF THEM!
I'm going to put up my post tomorrow for sure, I'm sorry for everyone waiting on me, I was just going through some IRL issues that muddled with my creative headspace. I'm good now and would post, but it's late and I need sleep.
@JoshieRoll results

Ian got a 7 on unleashing his powers, so he can either gain the Insecure condition or the GM mucks with my attack somehow. I think this decision is up to the GM, though I'm not sure. If it's up to me, then I take the condition.
Ian gaze drifted up to the observation deck momentarily as Network laid down the plan, but quickly gave himself a sharp smack on the face in order to get his head back in the game. The argument between Net and Alex had gotten intense, and he was certain they'd need to address that before long, they had a mission a training exercise to do. As Riley and Swarm went off to do their jobs, Ian gave a quick nod to Net as he prepped himself to take on the oh-so fun job of getting their asses handed to them by a computer program.

Lovely.

"It's Luxuri-as by the way, not Luxurious. Small mistake, I know, but I'd rather keep it from becoming a habit." Ian gave Net a slightly devious smile, the shadow at his feet starting to rise as he approached the Dragoon construct. The shadows soon began to rise into the palms of his hands, which he would then thrust forward to send a torrent of smokey darkness over the area, attempting to blind and confuse his foe by keeping them from being able to see. If he was successful, the shadows would not only successfully cover her form and the area around her, but they'd also cling to her a bit. After that he'd back off, motioning for Net to go into the haze. Ian would be able to manipulate the darkness so that Net would be able to see Dragoon before she could see him, thus giving his teammate the advantage in this situation. Again, this is assuming that all went well and no unwelcome surprises were on the horizon, which Ian knew was all too likely.

Dammit, why did we have to fight Dragoon again? I'd be a lot less nervous if we had the other two to help keep her contained. Damn Lodestar, having to make everything so much more difficult for everyone involved.
I'll wait until Net gives his plan before Ian goes out. Also, just so you know, Ian is feeling very conflicted about how this whole incident panned out. Like, it got a bit personal there.
