@PathfinderYeah, he was a shitty dad before too, focusing more on work and his company then his son, which is why his son went away. It's not that he doesn't care for him, but the way he thought he showed it was through providing for his son and giving him the best of everything he could want. . . except his time. Now it's like the professor Dad from Astro-Boy, where he takes in a creation to act as a surrogate, only to realize the surrogate can't replace what he's lost, and instead of accepting it, he pushes them away or gives them empty praise that amounts to nothing more than a "good job Reginald".

So yeah, shitty dad.

@BrassOtterYou've not been forgotten, but Eve was the first bro, and is also important to see if Reggie's going to be a bit of a social recluse or not when he meets Carmen.

@PathfinderI know it's a bit of a stretch, but I figure that if Gem tech is just lying around, human society has to be a little bit more advanced then what we're given on the show(you know companies and governments would be all over that stuff) and I wanted to play around with this, but not make him a full half gem. Like, I know it'd be easier, but I like the dynamic that comes from Reggie being not only created and lid to about it, but also a surrogate for his father in place of his real son, one that he spurns the more he shows off his talents due to the fact that it reminds him of the fact that he isn't the son the man last.

@AkayaofthemoonOf course, I'm just putting it up for you guys to see it. Glad you like the idea, though. Wanted to give Reggie a better reason for his genius, plus it makes for interesting interactions between him and his 'dad', as well as possible fusion stuff in the future. Not quite sure about it given how under-developed the gem is.

@UnknownScarlet4Do you jave differing ideas for them all, or just a difference in Gem? If former, mind telling, and if the latter, then maybe roll a dicw or something if you are fine with any of the three. If you like one more, though, you should probably go with that one.
