Academy City: a city with a population of 2.3 million, with a supermajority of students, almost all of whom are there to become espers. With so many students and so many powers, as well as research decades in advance of the outside world, it's no wonder that so many conflicting incidents happen even when people aren't trying to sneak in...

Rules:

• Try and keep your bios as spoiler-free as possible; just because things have happened doesn't mean they need to be spelled out in detail in the history section (only applies to canon characters)
• If you have an idea for an incident, PM it to me
• If something happens that contradicts the novels after volume 13, or some detail introduced then, go with it. This is going to be non-canon anyway.
• Once fighting starts, establish a post order. Please.
• You can have multiple characters, but only one of them's allowed to be a high level.

A Certain Scientific Railgun RP

So, after spending far too much time watching and reading this series recently, I've decided to create a roleplay focused entirely around the Science side (and probably going completely off the rails at some point with regards to plot). Because of the series as a whole, it's going to be largely incident based, so feel free to submit ideas for plots. There's a few caveats though:

• Science side only, so Touma is automatically out because that drags the whole Magic side in.
• Not including the city's Dark Side overtly, because of how that excludes characters (also because that keeps the problematic Level 5's the hell out of it...
• Starts after Railgun S, before the plot causes everything to go haywire.
• OC's and canon characters allowed.

As for canon characters... whilst they're allowed, I'm going to be paying a bit more attention to them than OC's, because a lot of the possible exploits for their powers are already well known.

He was actually shocked before grabbing the girl.

As for 'Kiba has a head start': Misaka's closer. She moved past him earlier (plus not having to turn around)

With the girl being flung almost as quickly as she'd been scooped up--and thankfully unharmed by the electricity that had never been expected to be that close to her in the first place--there was no time for any more attacks at Senbonzakura, or checking to see that the second armoured figure behind wasn't launching some sort of sneak attack. There was time, though, to move to intercept the airborne girl before the distinctly untrustworthy people ran off with them.

With a complete lack of bracing, and being a schoolgirl, there was only one inevitable result for having a child slam into you at high speed: Misaka fell over, landing with the child in her arms.
