Being truly on my own is a bit of a weird feeling. It's never really happened.

Let it never be said that sometimes extreme brevity isn't the most appropriate post, though. Everything is a tool.

@VitaVitaARIt's not mind control, it's shouts that either help her allies or hurt her enemies.

Bend Will. Frenzy. You could solve the first one just by not completing the Dragonborn questline.

... also, I've been meaning to ask: Khajiit High Queen of Skyrim, seriously? Next you'll be saying that the Thalmor are controlled by the Hist. :P
"Does anyone have a torch?" the paladin asked, drawing her blade from its sheath and resolving to keep an eye on the dwarf--someone whose thoughts so quickly turned to ransom was an unreliable accomplice at best, and a traitor in waiting at worst.
I suppose if you need to do more than poke a hole through something. :P
Totality of available info: AIM Research, some kind of explosion.
You can always burn the building later.
Name: (Ando) Akemi

Age: Actually six, physically and mentally fifteen.

Appearance: Younger than she looks in both meanings of the word.

Personality: Almost completely void of emotion in normal situations, you'd have to wonder if Toshiko made a mistake in creating her. As it turns out, Akemi simply doesn't show it very well. She's actually somewhat shy, even if you'd never notice her discomfort, and loves cooking. She's definitely got her childish points, and treats Toshiko like her mother (which is more or less accurate).
For some reason, the homunculus finds cars terrifying.

Abilities: Created for the purpose of protecting Toshiko, Akemi's notable skills are simply straight-up combat, with an emphasis on making sure the attacker can't cause problems again making her find it rather more difficult to simply subdue someone. Despite being equally good with her sword or unarmed, she prefers to cut things even though this adds in the difficulty of hiding a weapon when travelling around. As a homunculus made to fight, her physical abilities are beyond what a human could ever get by training... as is her appetite.
Aside from combat skill, Akemi is a good cook and efficient cleaner, which is a good thing for the agency itself, otherwise the food quality would probably decrease to 'what can be cooked solely by boiling water' and grime would build on everything. That's what Akemi expects, at least.

Weapons/Equipment: Her sword's magically reinforced, because you never know when something soft and fleshy is going to turn out to be as hard as steel when the supernatural is involved.

Brief Backstory: Created several years back as a safety net, when it wasn't certain that the Ando family would simply accept their daughter ignoring all their plans, Akemi's original purpose as a bodyguard against retribution turned out to not be needed. Still, with nowhere else to go--and at the time looking like a child--she stayed with Toshiko, getting interested in cooking and happily taking better care of the adult mage despite their relative life experience. Even after coming back to Japan and starting a detective agency, she's kept it up.
The maid outfit was her idea.
"But I am at home."
Shirai Kuroko

Unconcerned by her own thighs being looked at, since it wasn't the girl sat behind her that was doing the looking, the teleporter considered what they knew. Some sort of mental component seemed an understatement--for an illusion to only appear to one person it was either mind control or... "He could be an illusionist with the ability to direct the phenomena."

Indeed, with some more questions to further narrow it down--including that Nadeshiko could hear the dog--there was only one result remaining. Unfortunately, it didn't look like it could be the right person:

Tachibana Jun--Level 3 (Deceased).
Ability: Terror Print. Can identify a person's worst fears and project two-dimensional images, requiring line of sight.

The ability displayed--and picture--was consistent with what the two girls had encountered, though more skilled than this, but couldn't escape the fact that the suspect had apparently been dead since an accident resulting in the destruction of a lab the year before.
Misaka Mikoto

"The fun way, I guess?" Mikoto answered, wondering what kind of 'fun way' there could be to dig a hole. Maybe this girl was some sort of earthbound telekinetic? That would explain a lot of what she'd seen, since by messing with the sand you could probably draw water to the surface. She hadn't thought there was that much iron around, though, "If we get close enough, I can find any metal."

Fujiwara no Mokou--Some School

Wherever she'd ended up, it definitely wasn't the same outside world as her fight with Sumireko. That place had been relatively normal--or as normal as you could expect when you hadn't seen it for a thousand years. This one appeared to be having problems with the walking dead on a huge scale, which was strange from the immortal's opinion: they tended to go down pretty easily. Even without sheer force, any sort of interference should have been able to put down the problem before it got going; most supernatural beings wanted humanity to stay alive for a good reason.

Walking around looking for someone to ask what, exactly, was going on was a slow process marred by flame and the occasional explosion. Eventually, though the nuisances petered out--and someone most definitely still alive, and even more inappropriately prepared for this world than the white-haired girl was due to that enormous sword, came into view as she turned a corner, hands in her pockets.

"You're not from around here either, huh?" Mokou surmised, since nothing about the swordsman even remotely fit their surroundings--or the entire country, if the bodies of the walking dead were anything to go by.
