Being truly on my own is a bit of a weird feeling. It's never really happened.

Let it never be said that sometimes extreme brevity isn't the most appropriate post, though. Everything is a tool.

Rain is being a hypocrite. A silly one. :D
Okay, so everyone was beating up Cueball whilst someone had just survived a headshot from a gauss rifle. Whilst it was nice to see that people had their priorities well in order in what was the worse thing to leave alive, the bigger threat seemed like the person that had survived what should have been a fatal wound. You weren't supposed to survive headshots like that!

Fortunately, two people had indeed joined in on attacking her: Deathclaw lady, and... she thought her name was Neil or something, but the flashes from her guns were distinctive. As was the beret, which did a depressingly good job of hiding her hair. With Wendy apparently capable of healing quickly and someone else shooting, the YCS was once again thrown over Rain's shoulder, and she went with Plan B.

Also known as 'sprint in and punch it'. Seeing an opportunity, with the girl probably not on her feet, Rain attempted to slam the flaming power fist into the girl's stomach. Maybe she'd get lucky and light Wendy on fire? If she hit, at least.
Been stuck in the hospital for a while, dunno when I'll be out. Posts might be a bit slower than usual.

Ow, hope you're out soon. : (

Uhhh, effortless illusions against one person? Uhhh, stats that are extremely low to the point of being just a regular human? The strongest thing Shakespeare had was his Enchant ability which is probably a bit strong on its own, and your complaining about First Folio when it only works on one person. I think you should start GM'ing more.

... co-GMing a Fate RP.

E-Rank is explicitly superhuman. The ability to weave an intricate, all-consuming illusion on one person is a way to remove a boss encounter with an irresistable ability. Mind-control NP's don't translate well.
No. No, no, no, no, no.

I'm not even the GM and I can see that everything is wrong with trying to enter that. Casters are NEVER balanced, and the First Folio is a walking radius of screwing the RP up. Perfect effortless medium-range illusions and distractions? There goes any challenge.

Hell, Medea is nerfed as hell as it is and, of all Casters in the Nasuverse, is the most direct of the class because she's essentially the only one of the lot that really deserves the title. The rest tend towards NP's that circumvent every weakness they have.
With all the focus that the vaguely rodent-like monster was attracting, it was perhaps surprising that Rain wasn't also pointing a barrel at its head. She knew the details of its plan, and the sheer trainwreck that every last stage of its plan represented. Yet it wasn't the obvious threat; it wasn't the thing putting effort into making sure that others suffered.

Instead, it was at Wendy that one of the most over-engineered personal weapons of all time was pointed, Rain managing to deduce the likely cause of the problem between the horrified girl, the old man, and the BDSM reject. Call it trigger-happy, or simply well-trodden paranoia when it came to those presiding over a slaughter, but the tall woman's instincts kicked in before attempts to simply talk the problem over.

The trigger was pulled, and Rain hoped that would end the problem.
@Lmpkio Did you... just go from talking to people to punching someone outside faster than the people that spent their whole last post getting ready to deal with the problem could react? That seems kind of... awkward. Also a bit unfair, since it means you beat everyone preparing to do this to the punch. XD

... also attacking Kyubey for some reason, when Kyubey was not the (obvious) problem.
I sometimes forget that I'm not actually waiting on people.
"Video games? That'd--" Rain said, cut off by the scream and, much like apparently everyone else in the vicinity, recognising that as a reason to stop talking and start taking action. Her beer shattered on the ground as Rin called out, and the white-haired girl rushed off in the direction of the scream, sliding to a halt... and realising that absolutely nothing she could do would really SAVE a soaring old geezer. Kill them? Sure, but her 'saving' was more in the business of 'shoot whatever was threatening you'.

If anyone had more useful abilities, THEY could save him. The courier simply acknowledged his direction of flight and took off to where he had to have come from; whoever was turning old men into projectiles had to be there, and killing people before they could do more harm was somethign that Rain could definitely pull off... like Vulpes Inculta or anyone else in those accursed uniforms.
Alleyway Number One

"Investigating? You could say that," the girl said, revealing a match in one hand and striking it against the wall, before tossing the flismy stick behind them... leading to a brief but intense conflagration back the way they came, "If you're here for the experiment, come with me. If you're not here for it, you're coming anyway."

"You'll get hurt less if you co-operate."

Alleyway Number Two

There were no creepy espers hanging around this alley, unless you counted the two most harmless level ones that anybody had ever seen as 'creepy'. Didn't seem like there were any ghosts here, at least.

Shirai Kuroko

With her dirtied uniform dropped off, the schoolgirl was now well on her way back. Twintailed girl latched onto the Railgun's shoulders in three... two... one...
