Does the relic HAVE to be an object from real life with actual value, or could it be just some random crap pulled out of the ground? (Ex: Walking Cane, Shadow Puppet, etc.)


Nope. Some of them passed into myth. Others just got forgotten about--like the most recent bio in the character tab that's a hairpin. Kaede was going to have a glove for kyuudou before I decided it would be a good idea for her to be part of SAGA so I have an IC-reason to shepherd new magical girls from a fight to the organisation.

That's why I said 'on the edge'. A scientific document is somewhat different from something created as a part of alchemy. :p

Could a Relic be a document? Say, Jean-Baptiste Denys' first documented Xenotransfusion, perhaps? XD

I'm going to say... no. That would require either A) a Void becoming paper, or B) a Void becoming wood that gets made into paper that is then conveniently used to write something that's at the very, very edge of what MIGHT be accepted timescale-wise.

@Cuccoruler And five skilled fighters, scaling upwards as the roleplay progresses, is a terrible match for magical girls with no combat experience. Assuming that one is meant to contribute meaningfully to a fight, as well as flying, five would have to get weaker somehow to not be imbalanced.

@Marayla Well... no. It's still a rather off level of versatility. Unless they were qualitatively inferior, which I'm not seeing, you get seven relics in one.

With the conditions that they're easily killed and get weaker and less competent the more there are. No army obsoleting the cast. XD

The Angels work as a soldiers or summons if you wanna call em that.


But that doesn't explain what the angels' capabilities are. I gathered that they were summons.

@Cuccoruler I'm... going to need some sort of idea what the angels can do. I'm confused why the random eidetic memory, but the angels have no indication what their ability is.

@Marayla The idea's interesting but too much. I can't accept a character who can competently fill any combat role on the fly, nor do the downsides make any sense for what's entirely a weapon. There's also no reason a 14-year old Japanese girl would be an expect marksman aside from sheer convenience.

... also, the background for how she got Pandora's Box makes no sense because it completely goes against where it is. I meant working out a reason she'd be exposed to it in the game.

EDIT: This applies to yours too, Cucco: "Unaware" haven't transformed yet. It'll happen very shortly into the game, but they wouldn't have activated things already.

Yeah, sorry about that. With the idea I had, without basically phasing out the attacks towards the end of the 'alchemy is a thing' period, it would just end up as a military magitech dealy. Not a good way to get a magical girl setup. xD
