Well, it depends on how vaguely you want to define self-interest. I mean, Tyaethe abandoning her men and command post to charge off to rescue the captain can pretty much be argued as self-interest, because she's ignoring orders to pursue her own goals (Protecting Fanilly). Even if that goal isn't protecting herself doesn't mean she isn't following her self-interests.
Why do you think her order for everyone following her was to form up without her and advance into formationless bandits? Her orders were entirely to set that flank up for minimum casualties regardless of her other duties. :P
I, personally, am just trying to make poor jokes in the ooc though, so don't mind me.

Dropped the booze part tho. And she dislikes showing off her priestess training. She hates making the old crones being right.
A generic ward against evil seems... really hard to put into actual use.
