Being truly on my own is a bit of a weird feeling. It's never really happened.

Let it never be said that sometimes extreme brevity isn't the most appropriate post, though. Everything is a tool.

V in place of W, not in place of Th. Though after one edit, maybe it looks more French and less ambiguous.
@pugbutter Err... you appear to be ignoring a post directed at your character. Right before yours.
Merilia

It seemed that there was some deficit in the visual acuity of at least two of these knights; she wasn't making even the slightest effort to do something that could be considered hiding. Maybe they just didn't think to look down an inch? Though with the relative prevalence of dwarves throughout Thaln, that could only be considered a social flaw in and of itself. Fortunately, the new arrival gave her a way into this conversation and a chance to insure that the grizzled one hadn't defiled one of her books.

It was a shame that chasing the naive one that fell for the curse would have to wait a minute.

The magic user's projection stepped forwards between the tomes, edging closer to the motley assembly, and coughed to draw their attention. Then, in a quiet voice, Merilia started explaining: "Explosion? Non, 'armless. Spacial magic is, shall we say... complicated? A slight miscalculation in ze subject's mass leads to instability zat resolves on arrival. If dangerous enough to 'arm a person, she would 'ave been... ah, 'ow you say? Torn apart."

All but the most unworldly knight would be able to place the strong accent as from Ithillin but even they should be able to identify the short mage looking at them with a dull expression. It was hard not to recognise one of the Iron Roses' more well-known knights when her portrait hung downstairs, even in foreign clothes.

So... I hope a nearby character helps Jarde out with his little issue. xD
I started with it. :T
I am an interested person.
Svetleaze von Einzbern

Fortunately for the homunculus's sanity, the other Servant managed to distract the Master and lead her away. Excellent, even if the Masters were going to be co-operating, Svetleaze had no intention of mingling and making friends here. Her skills and education didn't extend to the realm of casual relationships at all and a strictly work-based relationship would fit her approach better.

Whilst she worked her way through the soup, Kintoki had already jumped upon the idea of giant beasts in the ocean and, she assumed, fights with them. Not that there was anything truly that great nowadays--much like the Third Magic and the Servants themselves, the existence of such mighty creatures belonged almost wholly to the realm of the past. Though the depths of the Pacific would doubtless be a grand harbour...

Watching Kintoki's manners in ripping off the boar's leg and... well, ravishing it. Her Servant might have taste, but he was truly lacking in manners.

Medea

Was it really possible for someone to be so impossibly dense? To have an ability like that, there was no question that he would have been exposed to its effects--especially as a Heroic Spirit; love forced through magic was a cursed and one-sided affair that would only end in tragedy. To push away the opportunity to be free of a ruinous curse through a suspicion of ulterior motives... even she wouldn't be so stupid as to throw away that opportunity to avoid disaster simply because the bargain could include possible disadvantages.

There was an even more obvious reason to wonder if someone could possibly be that stupid, even with her identity unknown to this Lancer. "Do you think any woman with the ability to stop that mark would take a chance about such a thing?" Clearly written in Caster's face and tone was her displeasure at having to state something so completely obvious.
Sir Tyaethe Radistirin

Tyaethe stood and looked at the proceedings a few more seconds, then once more over her shoulder at the gaggle of maids outside and Marianne's dog, before concluding that there was nothing that she could really do to assist. Besides, it seemed quite under control from her perspective.

The paladin shook her head and continued forwards, to the chapels. Specifically, the Shrine of Mayon--though aside from the size, little was different between the two save from the centrepiece. Annoyingly, given the order's origins, there was nobody else in there when the armoured knight walked through. Even if so many of the knights now where less religious than the past... did this place not feel comfortable to people any more? An indoor garden of roses and lilies, and the tranquillity of a pool of water...

It was hard to tell what she was thinking as she stood beside the pool, holding a rose and watching the petals fall one by one.

Merilia

Merilia couldn't say she cared overly much for how the furniture in the library was treated--the books were a different matter, but they were hard to replace and far more fragile. Some had even been written during her time as a teacher, even before she became a knight, and it would be annoying to have to replace those because some idiot knight had attacked simplistic introductions to various magical topics out of misguided stupidity. The furniture was of no interest to her whatsoever... but it offered a perfect excuse to play a joke on someone.

Over in Akitsushima, a mage stirred and took to writing...

The note that appeared over the pages in Jarde's book came with no warning and no fanfare: a single sheet of paper was vastly simpler to move through the world than an entire person. What it lacked in dramatic appearances, it more than made up for with an absurd--yet, to someone not expecting it, entirely reasonable--threat:

"You, defiler of tables, have been placed under the Curse of the Library. Your knees will bend backwards and your hair turn to worms, your food shall taste of dirt and your drink of wood. Your father will become a rabbit and your mother will smell of elderberries. But repent! Repent and the curse shall be broken!

Simply run thrice backwards round the courtyard, singing the Milk Bunny Song without cease."

Hopefully, he would fall for it. Watching a grown man running around backwards and singing a children's rhyme? Priceless, no matter that she'd done it before. And there was even enough unexplainable, undecipherable runes written on the flip side of the paper. There was no need for Jarde to know that it was just a missive from a member of Akitsushima's nobility inviting her to stay with them for a while.

Since she was satisfied that he would make some noise if he ran out, the former Knight-Witch decided to finish her examination of the library, which seemed to contain only two others in it for the moment. Two others, one of whom clearly holding a cut-open book, though from this angle, not one she could see the cover of. The magic user said nothing as she looked in their direction: simply an eerie girl in foreign clothes, looking ever so subtly wrong.

Gee, Diarmuid, why would someone want the person-enchanting uncontrollable attraction curse removed? :P
I'd rather break the AI or make things harder. Or set goals/restrictions on myself. Playing against people in strategy games is no fun for me: either you team up and the game gets even easier than before, or it's a fight against the other person and I'll burn out long before anything reaches a climax unless it's utterly one-sided.
