Being truly on my own is a bit of a weird feeling. It's never really happened.

Let it never be said that sometimes extreme brevity isn't the most appropriate post, though. Everything is a tool.

Sir Tyaethe Radistirin

The paladin shifted her grip, watching for the signal--she'd given hers to no response, so she and Indrau had gotten into position early. Nothing to do but steady her breath, wait for the light... and then move fast. It should be easy, their way in wasn't even guarded. But the magic was so heavy here, so thick that it was like breathing soup. Their foe was doing something big and her guts were telling he to forget the plan and just rush in because this was going to be exciting. To forget the orcs entirely.

There were only four of them, though. She couldn't just leave the captain with these sorts of numbers even against mere orcs. Wait for the signal--there, a flash of light. Count to three, signal to Indrau to follow, and thenrush in. As she'd already noted, there were no orcs on the western approach. Which meant getting straight into the ruins and getting straight to the hacking.

Anyone that might have thought frozen ground would slow her down or cause stumbling was obviously underestimating Tyaethe. This wasn't the first ice-using magic user she'd fought with. The first few orcs were probably quite surprised when someone slid past them--right before their legs were separated from the rest of their bodies.

Urgently? What was so urgent about this girl's lost puppy? Regardless... she had to extricate herself from the children and get away--mostly by pointing out that if they wanted to be knights themselves, they needed to let other knights do their jobs. Everyone needed to work together.

Then she made her way to the gate, waiting. If this wasn't important or if Fleuri didn't show...
The ability to stay in the world without a Master has nothing to do with any sort of hidden independent action value. It's just a result of having: A) lots of mana, and B) comparatively low mana needs. It's how Medea manages to hang on long enough to get to Kuzuki even at half strength. That and spiritual ground.

Fate/Zero Material, Diarmuid:

Knight Tactics didn't exist when /Zero was created. Its sole purpose is because Diarmuid only otherwise has two non-MR skills, so when he was released in Grand Order a skill needed to be created to fill the gap. Since that skill is simply one big reference to fighting against Saber, it doesn't actually add any ability that he didn't already possess--said skill being EotM. Knight Tactics is literally just a way of describing how EMIYA survives fighting Cu ffs, which is EotM.

I think you're missing my point like with the 'B- PC' stuff

Assassins already get independent action as an off-screen skill at B- rank.

I don't think I'm missing any point, here, unless independent action now abbreviates to a completely different skill.
For the moment, it doesn't seem like there is, sorry.
... there's nothing in Fate/Zero by the name of Knight Tactics. That was only added in to Grand Order so Diarmuid had the necessary three skills, the entire concept of exploiting weaknesses is subsumed in EotM, and can only barely bridge the gap between Diarmuid and Saber--and he's hardly a pushover. It's not going to help an Assassin.

Could you please stop with giving unsolicited advice? It's likely to cause confusion and something that's less suitable.
The only Servant with such an ineffefctive NP is Angra Mainyu. And Verg Avesta still has potential uses. This... is pretty much less effective than just hitting a Master with a nearby chair. It's not hard to pull off, it's utterly dependant on the target being stupid.
It's not in question that Assassins don't auto-get Independent Action.

Those that have Independent Action are explicitly specified. And they are:
King Hassan (no comment, it's Gramps, he's broken)
EMIYA (Assassin) -- because it's Kiritsugu
Hassan of the Serenity -- because she had it in Prototype
Ryougi Shiki -- actually a human

It wouldn't need to be specified if it was implicit.

... no they don't.
If you're playing the character it's fine. If you're copying and pasting what someone else has written, that's a problem. Unless the roleplay suddenly accelerates massively not much'll be lost by waiting out a ban.
So last slot remaining is Redzerker.
