Being truly on my own is a bit of a weird feeling. It's never really happened.

Let it never be said that sometimes extreme brevity isn't the most appropriate post, though. Everything is a tool.

Tachibana Hibiki

Alternate worlds...? Was something like that really possible...? Well, maybe she shouldn't be thinking about what was or wasn't possible, her life had more or less been strung together by one series of impossible events after another, each time something or someone new introducing something that she would never have thought possible before... but that had been around long before Hibiki herself had. It would be best not to think too hard about it, parallel worlds sounded more like something for the commander or Elfnein.

She politely applauded Zeke's introduction, though the idea of the girl beside him being a Blade... was that really a good thing to call a person? Tsubasa called herself a blade a lot, but that didn't always seem to go well... wasn't it a bit mean?

"Um... I'm Tachibana Hibiki, 17 years old! My hobby is helping people, and I like food and more food!" she answered, not wanting to give such an enthusiastic introduction a completely normal one... but on the other hand not having anything particularly dramatic prepared. Though it was probably good that her introduction wasn't too long, as the others were soon paying more attention to a map... the graphics were fancier than the ones on the bridge, but the idea was the same, and the controls for it, poking around, didn't seem to be too complicated...

For the first time in her life, Hibiki was being more technically adept than the people around her... even if this was only by finding how to zoom the map out to get a better idea where they might want to be going.
For anyone still trying to sort out the camp, well... flaming tree aside, and bandits, making sure that anyone doesn't get away is probably pretty important as even the knights are probably getting disoriented here.
Tyaethe Radistirin

Tyaethe was only just behind Jarde, stepping through the flames with nothing more than a snort of derision and her armour melting away--as she had called out, there was no point in blocking; that went just as much for her attempts to have her armour take any blows. Better to be a smaller and more agile target in this case.

Jeremiah had proved that he was a talker, though, and that suited her fine--it would buy a few moments for the captain to get her throat back and anyone else who wanted to catch up. "Death of the Iron Roses? Some~one's~ cocky~"

"Even if you could get everyone else, captain and knight and alchemist and mage, you're just a brute with a sword! Dragons, giants, trolls, armies of the living and the dead... if none of them could stop me, you're not going to, Jerry~"

There was a moment to take in the red eyes--vibrantly glowing, visible even with the backlit flames--and then Tyaethe's patience for waiting ran out. Everyone else had better be in position, ready to kill him. An inhuman burst of speed to get behind Jeremiah, and then an arcing overhead slash... how well could he defend against the basics, she wondered, if he was being pressed from all sides? Surely he had more to go on than brute strength?

I'll post tomorrow, then, I guess.
I'm just trying to not be the first one to act... XD
Tachibana Hibiki

Now that she was talking with them, Hibiki wasn't sure quite where to look on one of the girls. Her outfit covered so little, the skirt was made of books... it wasn't the most embarrassing thing that she had ever seen someone wearing, but unlike with Finé, this one wasn't attacking her. It made it quite hard to look in her direction without feeling like she was staring at something inappropriate...

Instead, her eyes focused on the weird, top-hat wearing... thing. What was that? It was like nothing else that she had ever seen, even the Nephilim at the smallest she remembered it had been considerably more... threatening and mechanical. It also hadn't had the ability to talk. With something like that on hand, the man wearing an eyepatch and his companion was much less interesting.

Not to say that the Magilou girl didn't raise some interesting thoughts, by naming a bunch of places that Hibiki had never even heard of. She might not have been the best at book learning, but she had been to South America and the middle east, and basic knowledge of geography had been beaten into her head.. For instance, if it was winter in Japan, then it would be summer in the southern hemisphere.

"Um... I'm from Japan," she said, not wanting to say 'and I don't think any of those places you've named exist'.
Sir Lancelot

Bradamante had chosen the wrong opponent for such an approach, the rapid propulsion familiar--too familiar--of his king and Sir Mordred. The speed bought no surprise, no panicked reaction; just a sliding deflection as the Saber allowed himself to be pushed back and prepare to try and finish the fight, regardless of any attempted blocking with the shield. Just keep deflecting, then leave a deliberate hole in his defence, almost negligible against anything but a Servant--but to strike it, with the length of Bradamante's spear and Arondight, would require overextension... and then he would go for the throat.

Alkyrieaze von Einzbern

Altera gave no motion to follow as Benienma chased off in pursuit of Hijikata, seeming entirely annoyed with the whole affair... and somewhat confused as her Master's gesturing had an even-more-nervous stall owner handing over another crepe. But the young girl was seeming quite happy to simply buy more crepes, and in all the conflict he had scarcely had time to even consider running... it was probably best not to annoy the person whose Servant had helped make quite a mess of the street. Best to serve them before getting away.

"I need to speak to Da Vinci," Alkyrieaze stated, getting to the point, "Someone or something is tampering with command spells and there aren't many other people familiar with Makiri's work."
Tachibana Hibiki

From Hibiki's perspective, the day was exactly the same as any other until she decided to go outside. Because even by the standards of her life, where things could stop being normal quite abruptly (though it had to be noted that due to SONG, she often had some sort of advanced notice), this was fairly unusual. The door to her and Miku's apartment no longer opened up to the outside of the apartment, but instead to a street-level view of a dilapidated city; one that half reminded her of Val Verde but more strongly of the aftermath of the Château de Tiffauges.

This didn't make much sense for a fairly big reason, and the girl doubled back to check on the apartment balcony just in case.

"Eeeeeeh?" Everything on the other side appeared to be quite normal... for one, the balcony was indeed high up in the high-rise, even level with some of the neighbouring buildings' rooftops. It was definitely not at ground level. But she had to get out some way... she couldn't just jump without damaging the road outside and possibly landing on someone or their car, which would be really hard to explain...

So she went through the strange door. If it was just sitting there, then whoever was behind it probably didn't mean any harm... though Hibiki did wonder a bit about how they knew where she lived. The other side matched exactly what she'd seen from the doorway, though why was there an advert for Lydian beside it? There was something worrying about a possible unknown enemy knowing where she lived and where she went to school at the same time.

A few minutes later, and Hibiki had not only determined that the door worked in two directions--having gone back to get a water bottle before setting out to explore a seemingly abandoned and dusty city that didn't feel like the middle of winter--but that it was still there, blocking any normal exit to the apartment. Hopefully, Miku would have no trouble getting in from the other side...

As far as she could see, the city was completely abandoned, but not in the hasty way that implied it had been half destroyed. It was just like everyone had... gone, which was almost eerily similar to the aftermath of a Noise attack assuming there had also been a strong wind. But it couldn't have been the Noise, and even if she wasn't the smartest she didn't know about any completely abandoned cities in the world...

Rounding a corner revealed at least one relief, though: she wasn't the only person here! One of the girls she could see reminded her of Carol, with the large hat, but there wasn't anything familiar about the eyepatch-wearing guy. Maybe they knew where they were?

"Hey! Can you tell me where this is?" ... at least she was exuberant as she ran up, waving.
  • Name: Tachibana Hibiki
  • Gender: Female
  • Appearance: Untransformed. Transformed.
  • Personality: An idiot. On the plus side, she's an idiot with an irrepressible noble streak, eager to help people even before getting unusual abilities--even if it meant getting scratched up or falling out of trees. Of course, for all her enthusiasm and sheer exuberance, Hibiki isn't always so cheerful as she appears, but it's often a pretty close thing.
Also, she's a romantic black hole.
  • Brief History: Born 13/09/2027, Hibiki's early life is pretty much completely devoid of anything worth mentioning. However, one day she was in attendance at a Zwei Wing concert--and in order to induce enough Phonic Gain to activate the Nehushtan armour, Finé masterminded a Noise attack. Unlike every other concert-goer, Hibiki survived the incident... at the cost of the lives of one of the artists and getting struck by a shard of... something...
Fast forward several rather unpleasant years, and Hibiki was able to activate the shard of "something", a piece of Gungnir. Rather a lot more unpleasantness and fighting has happened since then, including faking being dead and breaking the moon; having an arm bitten off and regrowing it; getting shot with a giant laser that purged her of Gungnir; meeting her father again and being left to pay for sandwiches; and being shot in the rear.
  • Universe of Origin: Senki Zesshou Symphogear
  • Equipment: A fragment of the relic Gungnir, modified with advanced technology to the point that it can be activated into a complete Symphogear--a magitech suit of armour-cum-weapon system powered by singing. It greatly boosts endurance, strength, speed... but still has the limitation of needing the user to sing to work properly. Other functions of Gungnir in particular, as wielded by Hibiki, include a wide variety of pilebunker-assisted punches, kicks, jumps; rocket-propelled versions of the same; and drill-punches. Including dual drill-punches.
  • Abilities: Even without the Symphogear, she's far more dangerous than a 17 year-old girl has any right to be, since her punch as of two years ago could completely tear a punching bag off its support. This makes very little sense to a normal person, because her training is also largely emulating action movies.
